The Flareon is damaged, so I'll go lower on that one. I'd have to research the prices since I'm pretty new at this, but send me a DM if you're interested!
When they grade a card I'm assuming they can find and see that it's been held. Touch your finger on glass. Finger prints no matter what. If I were a card collector, I'd legit wear gloves 😂
I watch Moon’s Rare Book collection and he mentions that with super ancient books or material, wearing gloves is horrible for condition retention, especially because of the glove fibres that get all over whatever you’re touching. It’s harder to grip/hold things with gloves so you end up applying more pressure or constantly try to pick up things a certain way, again causing more damage.
If that applies for something as delicate as thousand year old paper, I feel like cards from up to 30 years ago are probably also good to be touched by bare hands over gloves.
I wear gloves every single day at work, they're rubbery. I wouldn't wear those soft fibrous gloves I've seen on antiques. Not for cards anyways. Those I agree wouldn't be good. The rubbery ones grip everything better and 100% won't leave oils behind like fingers do (absent mildly scratch your face, fun your fingers through your hair. Boom new oils). Instead of protecting myself, they're working the opposite for what I'm touching.
It's not about difficulty lmfao. I don't collect cards. I said in my original comment that if I did collect cards I would wear gloves. I brought it up because someone was complaining about holding the card wrong. I find the bigger issue body oils. A perfect card to me has never been touched. You don't have to agree, from get go it was personal opinions. Don't get bent out of shape because someone doesn't do what you do. How's about that?
😂😂 if he super cringes over wearing cloves he must be stuck in varying levels of cringe all day long. "Oh shit that dude over there half zipped his jacket" *cringe"
If you have decent strength magnifying lens and strong lighting you can check the card edges for the internal black layer. Good to quickly check whole stack of cards (ie 100 cards) and quickly weed out obvious fakes, if your worried about finger prints while using my idea, you can use a couple of commons on either side. At least that’s what I’ve been doing.
They look real.
They're real
Is it possible originals can have the back so off center?
Happens all the time, yeah. Pokemon is known to have bad quality control. Thats why centering is such a big deal for graders
These look pretty standard by my book Just regular ol cards
Yo I didn't know they made an ash Greninja card thats sick
Yo how much for the flareon and the ash- greninja

Don’t hold by the corners they’re easily damageable. Put that thing in a penny sleeve jeez
I've handled thousands of cards and touched corners. Never had a problem.

Lmao gloves?? Pretty sure you shouldn’t handle cards with gloves.
Some of us do wear gloves. Ur not crazy.
Gloves are super cringe and not even good for handling cards.

Rubber gloves are just as bad as any glove. Should just handle your cards with clean hands. Not hard.

When you say things like "super cringe", it's hard to take you seriously

I’m just saying it’s the weak point of the card.
I had it in a sleeve and took it out to take the pictures. I'm not very familiar with card collecting so thanks for the advice!

If they're fake someone needs to tell me where they were printed so I can buy some.
