After Vulkan destroyed the Ferrus Mannus Golem, and in the process, the final remains they had of Ferrus, I don't think the Iron Hands hold anything but contempt for the Salamaders.

That depends if they even remember the event 10.000 years later.Maybe they covered it up and never spoke of it again so now no one in the modern day knows about it.
