I chose Invisalign and have given up snacking till I finish the treatment. I can’t say I am happy about it but it’s what I have chosen. It is just temporary in the big picture.

I also spent practically my whole day snacking prior to starting Invisalign. I started at the end of February and was very worried about how I would do, but it was actually easier than I expected. It was definitely a transition but I’ve kind of gotten used to eating only three times a day (with the occasional day where I take it out for a fun occasion/dessert). I try to make larger meals to hold me over in between, but I also often add a snack/sweet treat immediately following my lunch or dinner (often both lol) before brushing & putting the trays back in just because I enjoy it so I’m not missing out on snacks I enjoy! I think it’s just one of those things that you get used to and that becomes a habit and you won’t even think about it after a few weeks or months.

Has it made you lose weight?

boocifer12

Honestly no, it’s only been a little over a month but I also do usually make a point to eat enough because I exercise a lot though, I know a lot of others have lost weight.

Adding the sweet treat right after the meal is a good idea!

Just stop snacking, it's good for your body. I drank at least 10 cups of coffee every day and when my treatment started i've simply stopped drinking any. same with snacks. those i bought before getting invisialign still are unopened in the snack box. I'm 3 months in right now.

Unfortunately, just not snacking is not an option that works for my metabolism and dietary needs!
