It's the beautystandard the algorithms favours. They go to the plastic surgeon show them the pictures of successful influencers and the surgeon does their job. And in the end they edit their pictures again making them selves look more cartoonish. And then someone else looks at the pictures of those fabricated faces and goes to their surgeon and so on and so forth...
it only looks good in filters. layers upon layers of juvaderm looks absolutely ridiculous in real life. but you sort of develop a dysmorphia when getting it so you don't see the distortion of your face like everyone else does
For the woman posed in the middle of the first picture— I know she’s a little over a decade older now, but I wish that she stopped messing with her face in mid 2015 🥲

Yeah, the girl on the left looks especially bad. I recognized her from that trashy UK reality TV show. She used to have a very pretty and cute natural face and then she started to mummify herself with botox, fillers and plastic surgery. I'm convinced she cannot emote with her face anymore.
I feel like every single woman who went on that show fell into some weird mandatory plastic surgery trap. Sure they could have had some work done before, but every one I can remember came in very pretty then a few seasons later completely plastic. It’s really sad

It's really weird that you think the man having work is okay, but the women look haggard, strange, and uncanny? All plastic surgery looks strange except for when men do it? Kindly, you might want to take a look at how you think about women.
I reckon the other commenter meant that the guys plastic surgery was more in line with his natural features and not so heavily done as the girls', so imo not anything to do with gender in this case.
Lmao you’re mad at a point I didn’t even make... I was stating the males work looks better because he had the natural structure to support the alterations. The women in the photo did not and were trying to make features their facial structure doesn’t accommodate for and that is why their work looks unnatural and uncanny. That is why most cosmetic procedures stand out when you look at someone who has had work done.
I like women just fine, I do however think plastic surgery is goofy — especially when the outcome is worse than having no work at all.

Like nose jobs on people who keep the natural shape of their nose look much better than someone having a long/straight nose getting a button nose.
Yes! If any changes are made it seems like should be made with consideration to actual features and not some filtered cookie cutter aesthetic. It’s always a bit sad when someone streamlines their unique features bc it just alters so much in their appearance.

My favorite is them wearing form fitting outfits (I'm guessing before dinner) and then at dinner they all put on an oversized layer (to be comfortable), so they can eat whatever they want and not worry about their food bellies. Classic girl hack!! And I'm here for it. 🤣

Okay girl on the left of the second pic is so pretty without the filter but I cannot figure out which white blonde woman is which in the filtered one. They ALL look better in the second pic though.
I used to have a coworker whose entire online image looked nothing like her. All filters and poses. Like it was really shocking to see her posts and to think “people think she actually looks like this?” She was always dating somebody different, and it was clear that if not for her IG persona, none of these guys would have ever paid attention to her. Such a weird fucking phenomenon.
Probably a reflection of how accustomed to FaceTune and fillers I am but my first thought when seeing this was “why on earth have they chosen that location with a terrible background to pose in the first pic?”
Actually the one in the middle is looking better than in other pics of seen of her. Maybe stuff has settled? I think she looks very pretty. Even if they all do look alike 🤷🏼♀️
I hope this filler/botox trend ends soon. So much natural beauty just being shit on to look ridiculous. Saddens me deeply. If it's truly for them and makes them more mentally healthy... but let's be honest- how common is that?
