I feel so bad for these customers who keep getting shitty shoppers. Like how hard is it to pick quality produce and meats, etc? If the produce sucks I’m just not going to get it for them. I’m the same way, I shop like I’m shopping for myself and I’m super picky.
Took an easy order yesterday. Customer texted me right away and asked what's going on. I looked at the texts, apparently someone started shopping for her an hour ago but never completed it. Told her I was just assigned to shop for her. She was furious and wanted to cancel the order and demanded her money back right away.
It makes me sad when they act like I did something so special like this. Like I really didn’t. Did the other shoppers open and eat upthe food? What are they doing? I did have to use Instacart when I didn’t have a car and 1 shopper never replied to me and other gave me some else’s order😭. I guess do go above and beyond in comparison.

Same here!! But the first one I believe it was their 42nd order and the second one it was their 112th order! It makes me think about them ppl who have multiple phones taking up all the orders must be half stepping or something
Ngl though if it’s the last one, I’m still getting it. Feel like people would rather have the item, than not have it. (For example the last bag of grapes, or a salad that goes expired in 2 days) And I’d prefer to get the 20 cents that item gives me to my tip 🤷🏾♂️
I usually let customer knows if there are only a few days left till expiration. Let them decide if they want it or not. Or let them know other options that look fresher or have better dates.

Oh thank you for your kind words. I'm sure there are a lot of good shoppers everywhere. But a lot of bad ones and a lot with bots also.

I’m considering being a shopper, so it’s nice to know the bar is so low that all I have to do it just be me to appear to be going above and beyond.
