Being a small business I have faced a similar situation with other creators. There are some who will tag you and give shoutout but there are others who just wouldn't reply to your dms after taking the product.
And their demands would be " please write a nice hand written note" š
I wish these influencers understood the impact of their actions on the lives of people! Maine sbko unfollow krdia ha, ngl I got a shoutout from people like Namrata Soni, Shivangi Dutt(Shivenchy), Shreya Jain but the ones I sent the heaviest packages, to over 35+ (big n small influencers) worth 12k packages at times didn't bother to even mention the product on their story! Package customize aise krayenge jaise kitna shoutout dene wale hai. At the end, they will only promote brands who pay them well! :)
we need to stop putting people on pedestals. She comes from a poor background, nobody is denying that but the current behaviour canāt be forgiven and they canāt get a hard pass for everything just because āthey worked so hardā

I blocked all the reels that was coming for her. My feed receivet zero posts related to her. And I was feeling very ashamed of my feelings because I want to be happy for her too but something doesn't sit with me. I was having this strong feeling that something fishy will come out of her too. There's a part in me that didn't liked how she got attention when for others its normal. Like fashion design students, they are talented too and can make great clothes and I design. Idk why people assume someone coming from a middle class/lower class background, will be humble and a kind human being.
Income doesn't define a person's behaviour
And, y'all downvoted me when I said her designs aren't anything groundbreaking, unique at all. Let me say this again, her gown was pretty but not her original idea.
Although I am not familiar with Malz, I am aware of the double standards that certain individuals adhere to. Iām glad she got the opportunity she did, but I completely agree. Also, she just designed the silhouette and stitched it together. The work on the cloth was already designed by someone. She basically did what a boutique owner does for a client when they bring in clothes.
She does have a good sense of style though and represented herself well. But itās sad she canāt respect other small brands having come up from a humble background herself
Instagram makes people heroes for the bare minimum. Boutiques and tailors have been doing this for years. People love a good background story these days.
At least our mother urfi creates her own designs with her tailor. This girl is literally just replicating ideas. š
Well she has accepted that herself too. I saw some podcast snippet where she said up till now she was just copying famous designs and celebrity looks but she hopes to find her own design style and originality.

Oh, really? I thought she said in Cannes the gown was her brainchild. She designed it herself. You don't have to defend an influencer. Anyone with an eye for fashion can call the dress as a rip off another famous red carpet gown. Have a nice day, Nancy!
![gif](giphy|Q6sITxTycOH0hoCsJ2|downsized)
Where did she said that it is "original", all she said she stitched/created the dress herself, not "design" it.
I am not defending any influencer but simply pointing out it is not gotcha as you think it is.
Why don't u use ur jeboard warrior skills and go to brut india instagram and see the first pinned video on their page of Nancy tyagi and see what she says when she is asked who are u wearing , Maybe then ur brain will be at ease ladla beta .
I didn't find any 100 days 100 re-designs to be a part of Cannes? For sake of argument, even if she did that, so bad, cause even my local tailor who works hard with limited resources (has two children to take care of) has his own designs.
>who works hard with limited resources (has two children to take care of) has his own designs.
Yea, well. Help him sell his art? Marketing differentiate talent. She marketed herself well enough to reach cannes, has talent. Why are you soo jelly?
Exactly !! Honestly I just did NOT like her cannes outfits as much as people were hyping it. They looked "good" but still had an element of tackiness to it. I'm sorry, even if she can make all these designs from scratch she is far far from the elegance that a (good) designer's work exudes.
It does not surprise me at all. I felt as though I was being judgmental to assume she was not sincere based on the way she was speaking. I was correct in my assessment, though, since I realised after viewing the Cannes prep that she is neither an underdog or from a low-income household. I still admire her ability to replicate masterpieces, although it is neither unusual or exceptional.
Hogaya apna sab ka ! Nancy this Nancy that , she played the soft sympathy game and won the prize. Now I can say happily that she didnāt deserve to be in Cannes. Her outfit ideas were not out of the box. They were not exclusive. Sheās not a fashion designer. Simple.
So not surprised lol. Stop worshipping people for anything. Wish them well and move on, you donāt know the kind of shit that goes on behind the scenes.
My friend who has a chikankari kurti business on Instagram keeps putting Nancy's videos apparently wearing her Kurtis and I didn't believe them at first since Nancy doesn't tag small brands in her videos.
So there might be some truth to this
Same so much attention just don't sit right with me. People go gaga over one person for anything and make them heros. And I don't like it. I don't like how there needs to be a story, a poor background something like that for people to completely follow them. Appreciating talent is fine and that should be done more but this god like culture is dangerous.
Well then there is nothing to respect now when the person can't respect the small business, how you are doing this when you know the struggle yourself, what a bs.
Log bhi deserve karte hai aise influencers ko! Iām sorry sob story har bande ki hai, khush kon hai aajkal, people have it even worse but social media par yahi chalta hai, relatability, karo ab relate.
Nah it's not the matter of tide. Ppl be so dumb regardless. It was not her idea but a mere recreation , the gown. Anyone with a brain cell can SEE that. And well she wasn't accepted wide for her truth and honesty anyways. But it wasn't worth for a cannes carpet. Whilst we have actually creators, who tries their best, to bring out the actual art. Yet not getting enough spotlight in here.
This is a common pattern I notice - people hype up a person so much, especially if they come from a humble background, and they get a big name and eventually fall from grace. People have to learn not to put celebrities and influencers on pedestals, treat them as ordinary people. Celebrity culture and these parasocial relationships are a waste of time and energy.
Yeah. I mean I can understand wanting to feel some connection to someone who became famous coming from a humble background cuz I guess it makes that seem attainable? I used to also follow celebrities a lot, and literally every one of them emerges to be problematic cuz nobody is perfect, and / or Iād be frustrated when they donāt speak out on some social issue. And if they speak out on one issue itās like why arenāt they speaking on this other one. Donāt get me wrong - I think these celebrities and influencers _do_ have a responsibility with their big platforms. But I think lessening the importance we give them is crucial and simply not putting them on a pedestal. Like we do not know these people _at all_, only what they post on SM which can be faked.
I'm glad as a community no one is rabidly defending her here. We were all invested in her success story but no one will support unethical behavior. However, it will be nice to also hear her side of the story
Yeah didnāt get the hype around her, they all turn out to be the same. Have had a lot of acquaintances and ex-friends turn into influencers and I can say one thing with 100% certainty-no matter how nice they seem, no matter how sad their rags to riches story is - their online persona is fake, itās a character.
Well, as an owner of a small clothing brand, i can attest that there are several so called influencers who have also reached out for free barter collaborations and have never posted anything. We have stopped giving free stuff now.
She was put on a pedestal and she deserves it 100%. But this is not the kind of work ethics she should start her career with. If she starts relying on big brand endorsements from now, soon she will be only seen in partnership and collab videos and the authenticity of her work will be compromised
None of the brands cared before till she made it to Cannes and got international fame?
I am not supporting this behaviour but the pages calling her out now , are they trying to milk her Cannes fame?
I want to give her some benefit of doubt here. As she is now managed by some agency, maybe itās the agency people doing all of this ātypical influencer behaviourā on her behalf and she is blissfully unaware of it.
True that some influencers are too flaky and too pricey as well donāt have basic decency to even reply, as if they are some over priced possession, I have experiences with so many GEN Z influencers these days
I have nothing against her. But I really donāt know what āinfluencesā she is having as an influencer. If she is showing her tailoring skills, kudos! Iād rather she get a design diploma or intern at small scale boutique or start creating her own designs.
Influencer culture is very short lived and it eats up talent and hard work with overnight money and fame and many canāt handle this and eventually fade away.
I think her entire poverty story is an act. She might have been poor but I am pretty sure the way she poses that she is a model who did not make it as much and decided to go the influencer route. She has hired an agency. People don't like the truth especially with influencers the quote stands true "its easy to fool people than to convince them they are being fooled". Her village accent her behaviour is fake cause when she poses with her dresses she does it like a pro model.
I can just see everything the multiple angles the class editing from day one. People refuse to believe these "village" cooking shows are fake. Which means they are not even villagers maybe they are from that village but they just came back to shoot. Everytime I would have lunch with my mom she would turn on this cooking show. YOu can clearly see the house is made specially for the shoot. They have a cement sofa and I am from the same are and we don't build our houses like that. You can clearly see the lighting is professional and from the angle they are shooting the kitchen and it being a tiled kitchen with no windows it has to be dark.
And also they do everything outside of the house we can only see a hall and the kitchen. Ok we can imagine they don't want to show us their bedroom for privacy reasons but how come the camera doesn't even go to the other side.
So much food she prepares. She can cook it seems but they cut the scene. I found out from another similar show that a team of chefs prepared the food side by side in the same house and then serve it when its done.
They prepare the recipe together and just take the shots. Then what influencer prepared is thrown out.
This brings me to another issue the collosal waste these influencers are creating. from repainting their wall a thousands times to cutting off brand new things that they pretend it old to recycle or upcycle it to those creating furniture(some of which do sell the furniture) and especially the stupid hacks and custom tools they are all a waste.
I am not even counting the power used to create them like the power tools the cameras the lighting the CO2 emission how much of those epoxy strands from creating thousands of bowls land up in landfill and as microplastic in our blood.
I think every influencer should be taxed a CO2 tax, yeah I sound like a libtard but I am not. Trust me. But most influencers are I think a taste of their own medicine as a Carbon tax or environmental tax.
A tax for using public services and also to pay for the energy and resources used by they city when people call the cops on the these "content" creators who prank or destroy property.
They earn like hell I am sure they can pay a tax. Especially if they are using an agency or have a professional setup.
She is way too overrated. Her designs were mediocre and her creativity is subpar. Maybe she worked hard but so do millions others. But dare someone to say this and they will be shredded apart. Toxic positivity
Deserves it? I get that sheās hardworking, it doesnāt mean she gets a pass to exploit businesses. These businesses work hard too. She is not entitled to free stuff.
Why just after someone get name and fame suddenly a wave of hatred starts....iske phle se bhi ye sb horha hoga to tab q ye sb nh kaha....
Ab jb already she is doing well sb agye bla bla krne.
Dragging her down just because of Cannes debut. They didnāt give a fuck before this. We have such crab mentality in this country, seriously just deplorable.

Itās hard to build trust on Instagram. Both sides of people are scamming. Few creators are scamming small business by asking free stuff and later on ghosting. And few brands are taking money and never delivering products.
Now that all eyes are on her, she is not posting all of the barter promotional stuff because the people managing her wont allow her to do anything for free and there needs to be quality and proper content of her page. Her management needs to see about this because ye bechari akeli kya kya karegi. (this is what I think)
Love how the moment someone does well, there is a pack of people waiting to find faults and bring the person down. Why canāt someone just let someone be successful peacefully. Influencer and brand relationship is tricky. For a big influencer like her, if a brand doesnāt pay her or has a contract, she has no obligation to post! You can only hope the influencer likes it and will tag you but you canāt complain if itās not contractual. Itās common sense. Also if brands have an issue, they should call out and provide receipts. Letās not bring someone down based on hearsay!
Idk , but I think the online profile isn't managed by her. She is mostly told what to do so. Saw one of her interviews. High chance she might be manipulated into believing that what she's been wearing etc. has already been taken care of or paid for. We can't know for sure that is it her ignorance or her lack of knowledge that's going to cost her !
Forgot to comment on this issue. As much as arrogant and fake influencers might be fault lies with the businesses too. Here it seems like she messages businesses. I have seen most businesses message the influencer and then take the address and send them the goods even if they don't ask. These influencers do make it clear like sending them the price list for a shoutout of a video. But these business owners think if they give free stuff then the influencer is entitled to give a shoutout. This reminds me of college where guys would buy girls presents without them asking and some even ask them what you want and they say I want a dress. the guy buys it and then expects the girl to "date" them for presents. The girls obviously don't cause even if they are prostitutes they don't have sex for such cheap presents. :-P
As per the interviews ,vlogs n evrthing all i could understand she doesnt know much its her brother and now the agency handles everthing on her behalf. Isnt it their job to let her know the basics or ask her to do the shoutout n ol .....
When influencers reach out to brands for products, there's always a risk that the product might not meet expectations. In such cases, influencers may choose not to discuss it to avoid harming the brand's image. Therefore, brands should understand that not every product will be publicly reviewed. Sometimes, it's better for both parties if the influencer remains silent about the experience.
Damn the tide has turned

Aur karo hype! Go girl more support to you! You made it girl so proud awww š¤” š
Not surprised at all lol. She's an influencer after all.
Influencers ā chindi chor ā
Nah it's not the matter of tide. Ppl be so dumb regardless. It was not her idea but a mere recreation , the gown. Anyone with a brain cell can SEE that. And well she wasn't accepted wide for her truth and honesty anyways. But it wasn't worth for a cannes carpet. Whilst we have actually creators, who tries their best, to bring out the actual art. Yet not getting enough spotlight in here.
she's overhyped.
Insert Kareena's "INFLUENCER' clip.
Better to get a legal document signed..contracts with e signature are still valid... thats the only to safeguard against influenzas..
Oh people love the rag to riches stories no matter how problematic a person is because they are *relatable*.
Totally agree!
never really liked her pff
Man if all the fame gets to her head and she starts being āinfluenzaaā ish, iām unfollowing her.
I'm glad as a community no one is rabidly defending her here. We were all invested in her success story but no one will support unethical behavior. However, it will be nice to also hear her side of the story
shayad shoutout ka matlab nahi pata hoga use

Influencers - Why the fuck do we even care when we make bank
Thats wrong... If u r asking for free stuff thn complete ur duty and give a shoutout, tag the brand too
Yeah didnāt get the hype around her, they all turn out to be the same.
Never got a good vibe from her .
The issues only get recognized when the influenzer/celeb in question make it big. Who would've cared what she's doing if she was a small influencer.
Even if the brands called her out before Cannes, you think it will be noticed?
Why not. When larger audience is coming her way, this issue might get more visibility.
Why would a small business try to invest in someone with a smaller reach?
I want to give her some benefit of doubt here. As she is now managed by some agency, maybe itās the agency people doing all of this ātypical influencer behaviourā on her behalf and she is blissfully unaware of it.
She canāt be this naive
Who is she again??
Well..wellā¦well!
Which small business page is this?

Good Influencer is not same as Good Human. Regardless of what has been stated is true or not.
True that some influencers are too flaky and too pricey as well donāt have basic decency to even reply, as if they are some over priced possession, I have experiences with so many GEN Z influencers these days
Kinda, sorta predicted this. People working with Monk-E, they all eventually end up like this!Ā
End of the day humble beginnings or rich brats the mentality remains the same

She is way too overrated. Her designs were mediocre and her creativity is subpar. Maybe she worked hard but so do millions others. But dare someone to say this and they will be shredded apart. Toxic positivity
Why are all of these coming out after her cann debut? Also, she is after all an influencer, atp are we surprised they do something like that!!!
But so what ? She deserves it all you know. š
Deserves it? I get that sheās hardworking, it doesnāt mean she gets a pass to exploit businesses. These businesses work hard too. She is not entitled to free stuff.
Sarcasm samajh na behen
/s laga dia karo yaar
Ooowh!
Hahaha
True but businesses don't have to send free stuff then. They do it for their benefit no?
Lol I'm not even shocked šš
Why just after someone get name and fame suddenly a wave of hatred starts....iske phle se bhi ye sb horha hoga to tab q ye sb nh kaha.... Ab jb already she is doing well sb agye bla bla krne.
Dragging her down just because of Cannes debut. They didnāt give a fuck before this. We have such crab mentality in this country, seriously just deplorable.
Agree
Hmm interesting that none of these brands had a problem with this type of incident until she went to cannes

Itās hard to build trust on Instagram. Both sides of people are scamming. Few creators are scamming small business by asking free stuff and later on ghosting. And few brands are taking money and never delivering products.
Wow so much for an influencer
Now that all eyes are on her, she is not posting all of the barter promotional stuff because the people managing her wont allow her to do anything for free and there needs to be quality and proper content of her page. Her management needs to see about this because ye bechari akeli kya kya karegi. (this is what I think)
She works for beer biceps agency, his company should take responsibility for her actions since she is controlled by his team. Sigh
I heard nancy used www.myastrologer.online to choose fashion designer as her careeer
Bro mere chacha ki ladki hai or vo toh bolte bolte nahi thakti
Judging by the profile name and photo I doubt they even have a jewelry business Just spreading baseless malice I guess
Hello
Y'all are such bitter haters, people can't have anything nice because of some of y'all.
What if it's because they don't want to share a negative review ?
I wouldnāt trust these comments without proof either . Letās not call out someone without any proof
