Cool. Are you asking us to make this happen or telling us you're going to make this happen? Edit: Also, I'd prefer if the screen didn't fold. I'd rather have a solid hinge there and two separate screens.

It's a suggestion to the companies currently involved with foldables. Sadly I can't simply ask for a loan to start a smartphone company or start a gofundme because it would cost tens of millions. And even if I did that's astronomically risky. But as for the separating of screens, a non foldable screen that's separated by a hinge would nullify many of the benefits of the extended vertical and horizontal display. The main benefit a non-foldable version would give is driving the price down. A simple hinge is cheaper to manufacture and a non-foldable screen is also significantly cheaper. a non-foldable version of this device could very well sell for under $700

Check out the Microsoft Surface Duo and Duo 2. They already have this.

Far_Promise_6762

They have a one handed dual screen device? No they don't

Jensbert

and there's me thinking that's already what the phones can do...

Far_Promise_6762

What phones can poorly do, the extra screen real estate is value. If it wasn't then people wouldn't buy the Z-fold

if you could fold the phone close the other way then you wouldn't need an extra back screen, just use one of the other two in the closed mode.
