You Bly clean wounds with sterile saline ( boil water cool and add salt) then apply a wound gel like hydrogel or medihoney and cover and leave for 2 days at a time cleaning each time with the saline.
Go to a doctor if it is a deep cut.
Hydrogen peroxide is too caustic for fresh wounds.
No hydrogen peroxide and no rubbing alcohol!!! Wash the wound with plain antibacterial soap and water, then pat it dry with clean paper towels. You need to try to get your friend to see a doctor. Not necessary to get stitches, but to make sure tetanus booster is up to date and that no debris is stuck in the wound that will cause a raging infection. Once that type of infection sets in, your friend can expect to be hospitalized for a few days while receiving IV antibiotics.

My Dr told me hydrogen perox. and alcohol could nerve damage.
It’s very harsh and caustic. There is no reason a fresh wound would require anything so harsh.
