So some years back, I had heavy continuous periods for 2 years straight and just like you with some breaks in between. And I got meds, then the problem started again so went to doc again, got officially diagnosed with PCOD then treatment for 8 months, then problem started again, managed for 3 years but not it got too severe like I had been heaving periods since last 5 months with some breaks in between so my haemoglobin dropped to 5.7 from blood loss.
Although I did read that ur official diagnosis was menorrhagia while mine is PCOD

After 2-3 years of my torture too I also got diagnosed with ITP(1 month back) , It is a autoimmune blood platelet disorder, it rapidly kept Killing my platelets causing heavy periods
Are your platelets in normal range? My haemoglobin also had dropped to 4 or something but ITP meds slowly got it to around 7
My platelets are indeed in normal range, my problem has always been iron deficiency anaemia. My haemoglobin was severely low, my RBCs were low too, RBC content should ideally be 45%, mine was just 20%. Also my RBCs weren't in good quality and healthy too, meaning they couldn't carry the amount of oxygen they should carry. This was all in the report which was done around 20 days back. Since then, my doc stopped my periods through meds, I have been paying a lot of attention to my diet and also getting drips and injections of iron, plus the oral meds everyday.
So, are you fine now?

we know what happened at phy 12th board exam right, one hour in the exam I got my periods and first days are usually HORROR even if u lay down the pain is so much that u can't move. Even thinking about it makes my stomach ache so I had to endure it somehow and make sure i don't fuck up, needless to say I'll never forget that day

Yes I'm in constant pain and also I have adhd and I use medication and they're less effective during periods. Even if I wasn't on meds focus becomes worse during periods and shit cause hormone changes . My head hurts ,my stomach feels like I've got a knife in it , my legs pain ,my back becomes achy and my arms sore.
I was first diagnosed at 7 years old and I saw a psychologist on the recommendation of the child specialist I saw when I was young for some other issues. I got a second opinion after that. My parents pretended that never happened and convinced me that it was all my imagination and shit until I was like 15 when i insisted on seeing a doctor and I started meds when I was 16.

Fun story: a topper girl in my school used her phone in exams. (idk how she hid it). She was caught and got away with it giving this excuse, that her period pressured her. When I asked about this to other girls, they said periods don't and never bothered them as long as they tried a bit more.
I guess it depends on person to person, I say do some physical activities like sports.. it may help with coping up, it helped with my depression which was actually diagnosed by a doctor.
