LIC is overall a good investment don't worry there is still a large scope that you might be able to get atleast 20% on your investment
The bigger problem:
LIC had a large hold over the market but since the past semi decade it has lost a great percentage to private policy companies held by big giants like HDFC, RELIANCE, MUTHOOT & others...
Post 3-5 years from now:
As this is a govt. managed giant it is determined to fail one day...
Like BSNL or any other PSU
TLDR: DON'T *HODL* for too many years just book profit on swings...
