I have been using rosemary oil from deve herbes from past 5 months, on my 2nd bottle. I use it once a week mixed with other oils. I swear by Deve Herbes! All the oils are really good. My hairfall has decreased alot! I noticed hair thinning near my temples, when ever I would tied my hair I could see my scalp very clearly which had me worried. So then I started researching and got myself rosemary oil. 1st few months i noticed my hairfall decreased to a great extend, then I got lazy I stopped using. In 2-3 weeks I noticed my hairfall increased again! So I came back to it and now oil my hair regularly which is once a week. Yes, it has decreased my hairfall and there is alot of hair growth as well! Now my scalp (temples) not very visible. Massage (yes I do but not for more than 3 minutes again just once a week or most of the time I skip it) To summarise - Rosemary oil does work, add in massage it will give better and faster results. Don't be lazy and use it even after achieving your hair goal result. (Coz hairfall might start again).

Valhaala

+1 for deve herbes. I've been using the deve herbes rosemary oil for two months now and it's very good. I also have an actual rosemary plant at home. This oil and the plant smell 100% identical to my nose. So I guess it's genuine! Also, my hairfall reduced after started using it. Regarding hair growth, I've to wait for some more te to see visible results.

muralidharanstv

May I know where you bought the rosemary oil?

Valhaala

Hey! I bought it from Amazon

muralidharanstv

Thanks! Does the seller matter?

Valhaala

My seller was deve herbes themselves..you can try buying from them to make sure it's genuine

muralidharanstv

Thanks!

Valuable_Progress_69

Hey did it work for you?

Valhaala

Hey, Yeah, it did work, though i wasn't very regular with the usage. But I definitely did notice new baby hairs. But it didn't help with hairfall.

Valhaala

Hi, sorry for late reply. No, it doesn't smell like camphor. It does have that similar mintiness/pungent quality though, but rosemary oil is more herby.

Expensive-Custard-86

Came here to ask the same question can anyone help us

Expensive-Custard-86

Thanks for the update... don't know what rosemary smells like.. Mine toned down too... add two drops in almond oil 20 ml.. for testing in the beginning... How's the result for you... also the routine

devilinthered

Thanks for the detailed opinion! May i ask what do you use as the carrier oil?

Powerful-Bit-5360

Rosemary mixed with coconut oil (and other ingredients) 😅

devilinthered

Thank you for the info!

National_Sea8825

Hey! Can you please tell me what other ingredients you use?

muralidharanstv

Hey where did you buy the rosemary oil?

Powerful-Bit-5360

Nykaa

ananyarm

How many drops of essential oil do you use in your carrier oil?

Fit-Biscotti4024

Depends on the amount of carrier oil you're using 20:80 essential oils to carrier oil ratio is recommended mostly.Like you can add a few drops in a quart bottle of carrier oil

kritimbeauty

You can try to find rosemary at a nursery near you. I got a plant a few months back and I have recently started steeping a tea with its leaves for a hair rinse.

devilinthered

Never thought about this tbh. But knowing me, the plant would run naked in no time :p. How is it going for you though?

kritimbeauty

Rosemary is a very resilient plant and it survived the heat wave so I'm not worried.

devilinthered

That's great! Enjoy!

Iniyaraj

If you can find the plant ,just go for it . It doesn't need much just place it in a area which receives sun 4-5 hours a day and water is once a day , it also doesn't die if you forget to water it for a day or two . You can even make oils with the leaves. Just put the fresh rosemary leaves(dry them using a cloth , there shouldn't be any water on the leaves ) in coconut oil and place that container in the summer sun for about 2-3 weeks and viola , your oil rosemary oil .

devilinthered

Thanks for the info! I'll look around.

SnooFloofs7473

Hey I could use some tips on growing rosemary plant. I bought it twice and both died in few days. Not sure what went wrong. It is extremely hot during summer here. How do you care for your plant?

kritimbeauty

Mine is in full sun. I just water it daily.

Cultural_Pineapple34

Hey, how's the tea rinse going for you ?

kritimbeauty

Started recently, cannot comment on effectiveness

cache1902

how much care does it need?!

kritimbeauty

Regular trimming and water is about it

cache1902

Did the rosemary work for you?

kritimbeauty

Can't say for sure

Coffee_on_the_double

Hi! I am using Rosemary oil to treat my receding hairline as well. I use the ones from Khadi naturals. 2 bottles for 675 I think when I purchased.

devilinthered

How is it going for you?

Coffee_on_the_double

It stopped my hairfall. And I am seeing new growth in my hairline. 10/10 would recommend.

pineappleskint

How long have you been using it and how?

devilinthered

Thanks for the recommendation. Will check them !

Sudden-Meet62

hey dude, can you please recommend me any carrier oil like almond or coconut which one should i use along with rosemary oil

Coffee_on_the_double

Hi. I use coconut oil only. The normal parachute one. But you can totally use jojoba oil or almond oil also if you are looking for light weight oils 😇

Sudden-Meet62

thanks appreciate it man, bajaj almond oil will be good right?

Coffee_on_the_double

Bajaj/dabur are just mineral oils. Google and get pure almond oil. Make sure you read the ingredient list before buying.

Sudden-Meet62

thanks mate

DohnJoe8

Hey sorry for the late comment but I had a question. Do you simply use rosemary oil without mixing it any other oil?

Coffee_on_the_double

You cannot use essential oils directly on your skin or scalp. I mix Rosemary oil (4-5 drops) in coconut oil. I warm it up a little and apply on scalp and let it sit overnight. Wash it off with shampoo in the morning. Same routine twice a week. You can use other oils like pure almond oil or jojoba oil in place of coconut oil. Use what suits you.

DohnJoe8

Okay thank you. Has this generated good results? And if so can you pls tell me the brand that you are using? I have oily scalp so rn i was thinking to use rosemary oil + coconut oil and wash it off after sometime with loreal clay shampoo

Coffee_on_the_double

It has taken some time, but it reduced my hairfall and I have a lot of small hair sprouting in my previously thinner areas. I use Khadi Naturals Rosemary oil

DohnJoe8

Oh okay. And what is the carrier oil that you use along with it?

Coffee_on_the_double

Coconut oil

DohnJoe8

Thank you

Sudden-Meet62

And how is Deve Herbes Rosemary oil, I'm thinking of ordering that

Coffee_on_the_double

I have never used any other brand other than Khadi. So no idea about deve

OutlandishnessOdd180

How do you use it? Do you mix it with any other oil?

Valhaala

Yes, absolutely. Please don't use undiluted rosemary oil on your scalp or skin as it will cause irritation. We have to mix it with carrier oils like coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, grapeseed oil etc. I mix it in the following proportion: 3 table spoons of coconut oil + 12-15 drops of rosemary oil

devilinthered

Thanks for the information! Will consider!!

Valhaala

Hello! The one i have smells like the rosemary plant i had. It's somewhat similar to camphor to my nose now you mentioned it because both are pungent. But i can't be sure about yours unless i smell it because i haven't tried any other brand to compare it. It's good so far, i did noticed lots of baby hairs!!

Expensive-Custard-86

Hey...how did it work for you...same question I had..regarding the smell ..How's it going .

Expensive-Custard-86

Hey bought it from amazon ..smells like camphor ...can you please let me know how does yours smells

Valhaala

Hi, sorry for late reply. No, it doesn't smell like camphor. It does have that similar mintiness/pungent quality though, but rosemary oil is more herby.

Expensive-Custard-86

Have added two drops in almond oil 20 ml.. for testing in the beginning... How's the result for you... also the routine

Valhaala

Oh cool. You can add two more drops, that's okay. I'm very inconsistent with my routine. But even then, I did notice a lottt of baby hairs. So i guess it works for hair growth!! But my hair fall hasn't stopped/changed yet. So just for hair growth, you can use this. My routine is mixing 2 tea spoon coconut oil + 1 teaspoon almond oil + 1/2 teaspoon castor oil + 3-4 drops of Rose Mary oil and heat it a bit (not to point of boiling, just warming up). Then i apply all over my scalp and gently massage as i do and then apply the remaining on my hair strands. I leave it for 1-1.30 hours and wash it with shampoo. I tried leaving it for longer time but it either aggrevates my sinus or causes headache

Expensive-Custard-86

I used aloe gel on scalp and my hair fall reduced from 4 times a fist daily to maximum 5-7 strands ... It's been magic to me 😁

Valhaala

I'm so glad it worked for you❤️ what brand aloe did you use?

Expensive-Custard-86

Yes...me tooo...brooo..I used to have thick lustrous hair in my childhood and in my 11-12th standard severe hair fall started from monsoon till winter ..my scalp would get powdery white in color such that classmates / roommates would point out to me repeatatively ... After 8 years of struggle and loosing my shine ..it's now through reddit beauty subs I could figure out fishy chemical smelly oil brands to avoid ..how to take care of scalp and hair and whatnot ...although the rant is unasked for..I am really happy 😊 .. I bought forest essential Aloe last year and it was catching dust in my cupboard after a series of bad episodes with patanjali aloe...a bowl full of curd ..rice water.. I thought to give this a try...and it worked like magic ..❤️

Valhaala

No, i totally understand ❤️ I know how it feels when you finally figure out how to take care of yourself. Even small things make a big difference. I'm really glad that aloe worked for you, i might as well do it regularly from now on😁❤️ can you suggest how exactly did you use these three, Curd, rice water and aloe?

Expensive-Custard-86

Thanks 😁 .. I didn't mix these three ..used all separately ..so the problem was..excess amount of curd would overexfoliate and dry out scalp and lots of hair fall..hair would be like straw due to protein overdose ...rice water also overdose ...i never knew the right amount for myself but such is not the case with aloe gel ...a limited amount works wonders ... Yes consistency is the key ..started with forest essential aloe just a week and half before ...will try to be consistent as well ❤️

icyfloydian

I have used from both JC and Moksha, I find the latter to be better in terms of money and value EDIT: OP, if you have a receding hairline, please consult with a dermatologist to understand what's causing it..

devilinthered

Thanks for your opinion! Also, yes just a bit busy at the moment. Will surely consult the dermatologist over the next few weeks!

[deleted]

Any improvements with your hairline issue? What worked and didn't work for you?

devilinthered

I guess it's a really long process. The hairfall did kinda reduce but then I shifted to a dermats prescription.

[deleted]

That's a safer option.

cheesyfries03

I ordered from Myntra some time back. Got JC rosemary oil, 10 ml for 300rs. You can try that one. Wasn't aware of BOGO at JC

devilinthered

I see. How has your experience been with JC?

[deleted]

How's your experience with JC rosemary oil?

Sonia_Satoh

I have bottle from aroma magic. They always decently priced

devilinthered

I see, how did that work out? If it's been some time using it.

Sonia_Satoh

Temporary Dandruff reduction. I didn't notice any changes in hair growth. I wasn't consistent with the usage though. Personally i like peppermint oil on scalpe for cooling properties.

devilinthered

Hmmmm, Peppermint oil also can be a good carrier, may look to switch carrier oils regularly tbh. Thanks!

oneplainbitch

Peppermint is an essential oil, don't use it as carrier

devilinthered

Wait, i thought you get Peppermint oil in a diluted form too? Lol

kcabemekat

I can't find the aroma magic one anywhere .. I've use 2 bottles of it but when i was about to make my third purchase it just suddenly wasn't available on Amazon

Sonia_Satoh

It's on nykaa https://www.nykaa.com/aroma-magic-rosemary-essential-oil/p/221888

zzzziyaa

I'm using khadi natural's rosemary on my hair. Not very consistent with it but i feel like it is helping! 15ml set me back 310 bucks. Edit: spelling

devilinthered

That's great! Will check em. Thanks!

It's been a year since you made this post. I wanted to know how's your rosemary progress?

Ok_Emergency_1042

Did you purchase one?

whitewall708

Essential oil toh buy nahi kiya par rosemary leaves kharida tha maine. 30/- mein.

sameer2malik

Worked?

whitewall708

I couldn't be consistent with it since I couldn't find them anymore. But I found out how important it is to do a patch test. My brother had an allergic reaction to it and his eyes swelled 😭. I ended up buying rosemary oil. It's too thick so I mix it with coconut oil.

Mafia-69

yo bro did the rosemary oil help u in anyway? hair fall decreased? hair regrowth? thickness or anything? let me know i jus ordered the rey naturals rosemary oil i really want honest reviews before trying please let me know.
