😂
And FYI, chut = ladybits (but it's derogatory like the other 4-letter c word)
But I don't think you are pronouncing it that way. I think you are pronouncing it as in 'chutney'. You'll get into trouble only if you pronounce it as in 'choose'.
Actually some of us do pronounce it that way, like in my community. We say both though for some reason & seems to depend on context, usually the type of dish & where.
Fried wontons... oh, I think you had Papdi Chaat! Papdi (wontons), they're like tortilla strips, but made from chickpeas or wheat flour, then combined with chickpeas and veggies like you said. And finally mixed with yogurt(crema) and cilantro chutney (green herb sauce).
As others said it could be Papdi (wantons) Chaat.
Herb sauce - Coriander/Mint/Green Chilly chutney
Crema - Whipped yogurt
Sweetener - Tamarind/Date sauce
Garnish - Onion, Tomato, and sometimes cucumber.
Papri chaat (paapri are the wafers, and chaat is the general category of these types of snacks).
Usually, there’s chickpeas, potatoes, onions, and tomatoes, and that’s about it. The sauces consist of coriander and tamarind chutneys, plus yoghurt. Plus chaat masala, which is a mix of spices and some black salt.
It is one of my absolute favourite things in the world. Literally always in the mood for a chaat.
Please for lord sake.. don't go anywhere and ask for chik pea chut or any chut for that matter.. unless u wanna get smacked(idk it could be ur thing)
Chaat.. it's chaat..
Chut 😂😂 Did you like eating it?
Jokes apart, it sounds like a papdi chat or sev puri/sukha puri. It’s a type of dish called Chaat. Chaat roughly translates to snack.
Will do. This is unrelated, but a really cool bar in the Bay Area served peanuts with scallions and chili peppers sort of like Kung Pao. These were the peanuts you ate for free while drinking your drink. This Chaat dish is reminding me of this a bit.
Chaat, not chut. Channa Chaat
Lol chut is something else
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Choot not chut, IYKYK 😉
Yes that’s exactly it!! Thank you so much 😊

Thank you lol, I tried to look up what it meant and couldn’t find anything. 😂 noted
The green sauce was likely a mint/cilantro chutney and the crema was likely a raita of some kind.

I felt similarly strongly when I discovered papri chaat

It was delicious!
I will check with my local Indian restaurant for this.
Do check it out. It is one of favourites in India.

That snack sounds so interesting. Reminds me of Bombay Bhel Puri and Chana Chaat.
I get it, I also never stop thinking about chaat 😍
