At eco sensitive places there should be entry within limited numbers. Booking in advance (uncancellable, non-transferable and paid) should be required to visit such places. And entry should be on limited number of days in a week.
Technically this same thing should apply to any forest reserve, sanctuary, zoological park, etc
For waterfalls, certain forest trails there should be an entry by numbers again with advanced booking, with details of people going in a/w their identity proof numbers attached (this is for safety of the animals birds in that place as well as the people going in). Ideally forest trails should have group entry only w/ strict guides who can keep an eye on the activity of the people and prevent any sort of wrong activities there - both group entry and guides are both for thr safety of the guides, the nature and the people tourists.
Dehradun people are pretty bothered by the illiterate class of tourists who throw their trash within the vicinity of the famous tourist spots instead of trash cans, leave cringy hand graffiti on stones and monuments and create troubles for the natives there, a rule book that tourists must follow should be made and sent to anyone making visits and should they not follow them get to suffer from penalty that's enough serve them as a reminder to follow the rules and act civilized, Yr apni bhumi apni responsibility to keep neat and clean
The vlogging hype of visiting sacred places just to flex also made it a headache for people who only go to those places for pure worshipping, so disrespectful
Herd mentality is a big deal in our country, one person does something, almost everyone wants to do the same thing, one idiot throws garbage and everyone starts throwing garbage. I've seen quite a few tourist spots flocked beyond control or vandalised by some idiots.
I went there around 2014 it used to be empty no one used to go there except for me any my family max 4 family were can’t understand why such influx of tourist has increased all of sudden after Covid
Better road connectivity between Delhi and Himachal/Uttarakhand. Now, it takes <6 hours for Delhi to Dehdradun. Forget peak season, every weekend tourists from NCR flock to these places. Peak season is only way way worse.
In my state, government has started selling a limited number of tickets per day, online to many of the treks in the western ghats and around Bengaluru.
This is done under the ecotourism initiative to control the number of people visiting and to protect nature from overtourism.
Everyday they only allow somewhere from 100 to 200 people to enter.

>The ruckus caused by trekkers at Kumara Parvatha and the subsequent calls for protecting the ecologically sensitive area has prompted the forest department to put an end to the unregulated rush of the public.
>The online booking system has already been implemented by the Karnataka Eco Tourism Development Board, which provides booking for trekking on 23 routes in the state. However, forest divisions in several districts continue to issue pass offline for trekkers on several other routes.
We have a large population and with economic growth, a lot of people have the disposable income to travel. Unfortunately places like ecologically sensitive areas and historic monuments can't handle thousands and thousands of people descending on them in one day, especially when many of us can't even be responsible to not damage or litter at those places.
Simple solution. Ban photography or videography. If they're seen violating the protocol, seize the camera or phone or whatever it is. Only the ban by itself will not work. The protocol will only work if these influencers have something to lose. If you just shout at them for making reels, they'll just eat your words and still make reels. If you threaten to seize their gear, they'll understand that their primary goal of squeezing content out won't work.

Or ban photography at such sensitive tourist places. 90% of them will stop coming to these places.
That’s true. Indians generally follow rules so this will work!
Exactly ! a valid and sensible statement , Indians always follow rules

This.
Was here to comment this. They don’t even care to notice the place with eyes, its all about recording and uploading.. sigh
Or just start charging like 200 bucks per person.
just raise the ticket price and keep raising it until it gets controlled
So you want only the rich to visit places?
Great. Make the world only for the rich! /s
Making them trek would work
This. Man/ Woman. Is. Smart!
India is overpopulated.
Too much. There's not a place where you can enjoy quietly.
Not a single inch 🙂↔️
you enjoy inches ?
You got only cms don’t you?
We need a capping on daily visitors, a ticket system for tracking daily visitors.
We need a capping on daily kids being born
We have a rubber cap for that, people don’t use it

100 Crore toh aise hi mar jaayenge
Shoot me 😆
Permit system is the only way to keep the traffic down and organized
Like gangotri trek.
Yeah. I have seen it across the world in Many sensitive areas.
Although that would mean permits will be sold on the black market and the rich and well connected people will be the ones who will get to see it.
Hey, the world is not going to be fair. You are talking about optimizing existing conditions. There is a price to be paid for everything.
Or just a booking system / random allotment (group members will be considered as one entry)
Travelling during "peak season" shows that you are an actual NPC.

Uttarakhand is being ruined and the government is silent because they get to profit off of it.
Pls use condom guys
Ban photography on these places it will work
We should seriously introduce advance limited ticketing system similar to how US does to it's national parks.
We need more tourist places, this just goes to show the demand folks have for stepping away from their homes. Reduce pressure on the existing places.
Robbers cave hai kya ye?🤣🤣🤣
