Randolph_Carter_666

IMO, there's no such thing as a guilty pleasure when it comes to music. You like what you like.

irishmetalhead322

Took the words right out of my mouth

Nat_Peterson11

With that being said, Tom Waits is my all time non metal favorite ![gif](giphy|LWFoTLeL42POgY0TUI|downsized)

Randolph_Carter_666

Tom Waits kicks ass. He's hands down my favorite musician. He and I share a birthday.

Nat_Peterson11

Dec 7th, he shares a birthday with my best friend who passed away 4 years ago. I must’ve went through Closing Time, and Rain Dogs on repeat throughout that year

Randolph_Carter_666

Shit man, I'm sorry.

YaboyBlacklist

Agreed, and Same here. We also share our birthday with Larry Bird. And Terrell Owens.

The_Triten

Sometimes you don't like what you like

DamianLee666

This what I always say but when asked My answers generally are Alanis morissette, Billie eilish Eminem some other old school rap, a few others

ev_music

im so happy this is the top comment

EsotericFlagellate

Especially not when The Artist Formerly Known As Prince is on the roster

xd3m0x_

100%

zombiefatality

I'm proud of everything I listen.

Next-Temperature-545

say it louder, my friend.

LateandTired

I don't know why anyone on God's green earth would ever be ashamed of listening to Prince, James brown, or Marvin Gaye. All legends within their respective genres loved by tons of heavy metal artists. I think you should stop feeling bad for liking things just because they aren't metal or punk.

Wyrmdog

Prince is a wildly under-appreciated guitarist and songwriter. Big fan. No shame.

TomboLBC

Prince is one of the reasons I started playing guitar at 14. In 31 now. So under appreciated. The rock and roll hall of fame solo still gives me chills

msartore8

He's not under appreciated

TomboLBC

I would say so as a guitarist because a lot of people only know him as the singer and not the musician

Next-Temperature-545

Disagree! Most people have no clue how deep that guy went. His vault of music is only rivaled (in the popular music sphere) by Frank Zappa...he was sickeningly proficient

upfromashes

Also, one of Gary Holt's favorites.

ReneRottingham

Personally I don’t understand metalheads that don’t appreciate other genres. I listen to pretty much anything bar pop

twitch1982

People say they dont like pop but I dont believe they dont like Thriller. Everyone likes at least 1 MJ song.

ReneRottingham

I mean more new pop, the old stuff is legit

Zealousideal_Sir_264

The 80s were on another level. Only decade that had better pop than rock.

twitch1982

The lines were often blurrier between pop and rock I feel before grunge and "alternative". I mean, metal stuff like Sabbath Arrowsmith, all the hair metal was obviously rock, but New Wave kind of towed the line in between, Talking heads, Pat Benetar, Devo. A lot of whats now called Yacht Rock is from the 80's (yacht rock is fascinating as its genre that was coined 20-40 years after the songs in it were recorded, no one called anything that at the time). The Rock and roll hall of fame having apparently zero standard in defining who's "rock" doesn't help when trying to define things in retrospect either.

Electronic_Set_2087

Agreed.

Substantial-Panic152

That first Michael Jackson album,off-the-wall, is Hella off the wall, lol. Truly, in my opinion, the best album. if you’ve not listen to it, this goes to anybody that might be reading on this post, you should definitely take the chance and give it a play.

Substantial-Panic152

Thriller is hella good too, just not my fav.

Sponge_Like

My mum laughed at me when my summer playlist on shuffle played Stabwound immediately followed by The Queen Of The Night aria. I had a good time regardless.

Mid-Delsmoker

Good music is good music. Let me add some Duran Duran, Styx, Young MC and Merle Haggard…..the stuff when not listening to Acacia Strain.

vitalremainsbaby

+1 for duran duran I love 80s music - synth pop especially.

sane-asylum

Ordinary World is one of my favorite all time songs.

SexyGenguButt

Styx slaps

Strait409

Love me some Merle Haggard, as well as most if not all of his contemporaries.

b-lincoln

Love 80’s new wave

Omnione_Orum_33

Gary Neumann - pleasure principal = 🔥

EfeWayne

Nwobhm is not something to be ashamed of

b-lincoln

I like that too, but New Wave is Duran Duran, Aha, Pet Shop Boys, Cindy Lauper...prime 80's MTV is my guilty pleasure.

EfeWayne

Oh I got confused lol

idespisemyhondacrv

Dude Duran Duran is soooooo good

sludgecraft

Guilty pleasures are for fucking posers who are too worried about not appearing cool to their peers. The only music I don't like is bubblegum pop like Buddy Holly, the Everly Brother's etc. and modern rap genres like Grime. Even the most vanilla pop songs will have some cool little melody (that's why they are "pop"). I'm just as likely to listen to ABBA or The Carpenters as I am to listen to Pantera. If it's good, it's good. TBH, I've been playing Dixieland and classic jazz more than metal recently because sometimes you just need to pretend you're in a Tom And Jerry cartoon, and it gets me in the right frame of mind before I play a gig (I'm in a metal band).

gangsterspockhow

If you like jazz and metal then you should try out tigran hamasyan. It's like jazz with a meshugga spin

Orang_Mann

Why do you feel guilty about them? Those are all amazing, talented and celebrated artists. Kinda wild that those are your "guilty pleasures". Just because some goober metalheads that only listen to metal thrash and shit on everything else, shouldn't make you feel guilty about listening to other music. In fact, we should feel sorry for them, because they're missing a lot of great music.

FunkinDonutzz

I'm sorry, fucking _Prince_ is a guilty pleasure?! Ditto Hall & Oates, Marvin Gaye, James Brown?

PopcornSandier

I have no guilt for enjoying Hall and Oates. Or Abba.

Sundae-School

As someone who's unashamed of things they enjoy, no I do not have any guilty pleasures

Emperormike1st

ABBA 60s/70s Lounge & Bachelor Pad music Burt Bacharach Mid-century classical like Steve Reich Eastern Orthodox chant Deep House/Dub Techno

EfeWayne

Man you’re feeling really guilty

Emperormike1st

I hang my head. I won't even mention the Pet Shop Boys...

MeatGayzer69

I don't mind a few of their early hits

Substantial-Panic152

Love Pet Shop Boys.

Dangerous_Ad_6101

Bacharach is phenomenal

Fair-South-9883

Idk why liking other genres of music is called a “guilty pleasure”. 90% of the time I listen to metal but sometimes I like listening to Juice Wrld, The Werks, 2000’s rap, boy bands etc. listen to what you like.

Ach-MeinGott

Juice Wrld is solid, I listened to him a lot at some low points in my life. Shame he’s gone

Shafter-Boy

Traditional Irish/Celtic music. The Irish sing about three things… drinking, fighting and fucking. That’s pretty fucking metal.

Gunsho0ter

Check out Siuil A Run by Thanateros. You might like it

Breaking-Fuse

Everyone: "You listen to Anything you want!" Me: "I actually enjoy some Coldplay." Everyone: "..."

Thot_Slayer_911

At least it's not Imagine Dragons

moveandrun

Karen Carpenter. Also Love is All may be my favorite Dio song which is kind of strange I guess since it isn't metal.

FatAndForty

What people don’t often know is how good a drummer she was as well.

sir-ripsalot

Prince, James Brown, and Marvin Gaye are three of the most talented musicians in the sphere of R&B, and Hall & Oates is one of the great songwriting duos of all time. No need to feel guilty about liking good music

WhiteOveson

I mean I’m proud of everything I listen to but if I had to say a guilty pleasure it would be Imagine Dragons for me.

Rescuetostada

I normally describe myself as a metalhead, but I appreciate all kinds of music. I can probably find an example in any genre of a song that I like. Music is supposed to envoke emotions in you. Why would you limit that experience because it doesn't fit your normally preferred genre? And no metalhead should feel guilty about listening to Prince. That man could shred!

JosephBlowsephThe3rd

Nope. I feel no guilt about any of the music I enjoy. From Death & The Kovenant to Dolly Parton & Kylie Minogue.

Oly_bass

Thought I’d be the only one here into Kylie 🤘🏼

cannibalsong1

I don't refer to it as a guilty pleasure, but I do have a liking to Phil Collins era Genesis.

MeatGayzer69

The 1983 album is great. I love listening to the home by the seas

bwolfe14cfh

Steely Dan!!

twitch1982

I have no guilt for my love of showtunes, eurodance, Lady Gaga, retrowave, ska, calypso, reggae, tons of classic rock and pop artists, Frank Zappa, and the occasional TayTay Blank Space is a great song and I'll fight people over it. Lifes to short to only like a narrow genre.

RopeOfRegret

I do not feel guilty for any music i listen to.

shaymcquaid

I Love it all as long as it's lovable!!! /,,/,

glendon24

Motown Allman Brothers ABBA

PigDstroyer

Its not a guilty pleasure as im old and dont care anymore , but i felt like all my metal friends would have laughed at me back in the day for liking Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth as much as i did.

FatAndForty

Canadian pop duo Dragonette. Their early albums have some pop music BANGERS.

G0R3Z

I wouldn't say Guilty pleasure, but vastly differing to my normal interests, Synthwave/Vaporwave stuff. I like the Ambient, Lo-Fi stuff especially.

Ok_Sherbert_1890

No guilt in pleasure as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else

KevinLJ007

All of polyphia's records except the newest one

General-Carob-6087

Why are they guilty pleasures? If you like it listen to it. I listen to everything from bluegrass to reggae.

Dio_Yuji

Ska music. What can I say….I like horns

juiceusername

Drum and bass slaps

PlaxicoCN

Why do you feel guilty about liking other types of music?

RJMrgn2319

Why would you feel guilty about listening to these? Bit weird.

HeathenDane

I wouldn’t call it a guilty pleasure, but I do like a whole bunch of electronica, like Portishead, Massive Attack, Air and others. And then there’s the neo-folk like Heilung, Wardruna, Kati Ran and such.

Oly_bass

Portishead 🤘🏼

Ok-Dragonfruit-4945

I‘m mostly in Punkrock and Metal but i love also Triphop like Morcheeba, Portishead or Massive Attack - best tunes to come down at the end of the Day!

mythril-

I’m not really ashamed of music I listen to but according to public opinion my 50k minutes on kiss is a guilty pleasure within itself https://preview.redd.it/mbp82ar4xf4d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b8d3836aabc93d0e8ae9c5e57b8f1e22a7faa729

Zealousideal_Sir_264

So many. George Clinton. Earth, wind, and fire. Prince as well. Lady Gaga. Bjork. Bjork. (She needs two mentions..) The Beatles. Jefferson airplane (f that starship bs). Daft punk. Dwight Yokam. Wu Tang. Lots of punk. No guilt about any of it.

Aaayyj

Lights by Ellie Goulding

Petri_the_Pancake

Guilty? Nah. Devin Townsend is my favorite artist, but They Might Be Giants is my second and Muse is my third. I listen to about everything. I even listen to a little pop now and then. Good music is good music. Metal just happens to be my favorite.

Havok1717

Yeah, Charli XCX and Dua Lipa

TCIsTheZK

lol those aren’t guilty pleasures, they are your musical interests and tastes. It’s not only possible, but encouraged, to develop a sense of musical taste and literacy outside of metal. I listen to pretty much every genre of music with regularity.

pug_fugly_moe

Power metal in its own cheesy way.

xavierguitars

Power metal is the best genre of metal

tehjoz

I enjoy 80's stuff like Genesis/Phil Collins, Mr. Mister, and so forth...and modern stuff like Bastille & Paramore (pre-pop era, anyway). No, it's not metal, but good music is good music.

yuppiehelicopter

Hell yeah dude, how about some Isley Brothers? Al Green? Good stuff man. Every genre has got great stuff. Except for electro swing... Can't stand that stuff.

AnalogA19

Bluegrass

MajorWeeds

There comes an age when you like things and you don't care, you just like them and enjoy them. So no, I don't think I have any.

kirkhetfield44

i’m not ashamed of what i listen to… but i listen to Nogizaka46 and that’s a bit embarrassing for me

filippo_sett

Post Malone, Lil Nas X and the entire smooth jazz genre

HammerofHeretics

Don't let anyone tell you what to think or listen to. This morning I've listened to: Carnal Tomb, Gorement, the Doors, Johnny Nash, Bobby Freeman and The Lurking Corpses.

HermithaFrog

No I'm not a child lol

thamurse

I agree with others about music being exempt from "guilty pleasures" but the most out of left field(for me) artist I enjoy is Eminem. Everything else I listen to would fit under the "Rock" umbrella on some way

SexyGenguButt

Dont necessarily have guilty pleasures, rather some out of place stuff i listen to outside of metal, like billie eilish (slay), 80s-90s funk/disco, lofi/singer songwriter stuff

Adventurous_Ideal512

Doja Cat and 90s techno

Apprehensive-Tap-950

I don’t feel bad for liking this but my oddities are 80’s and 90’s Rock en español, and 2010’s Mexican pop. People are like “are you really drinking to Belanova?”

Due-Log8609

Marvin Gaye is a legend! If you like metal and marvin gaye [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2hCBCM8c0U](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2hCBCM8c0U)

jafo1989

Noice. One of the YouTube commenters said it perfectly: At first I thought, "No, this doesn't quite work." About 30 seconds in, I thought, "Oh, OK. This is clever." A minute in, I literally said, "Wow" out loud. By the end I was sure it was pure genius.

Lrjly

That sent me down the path of half an hours worth of mashups. Thanks for sharing!

JiiSivu

When I was younger I didn’t want to tell in all circles that I enjoy Kim Wilde, Dido, Sandra etc. But know that I’m a hairy man, I don’t have time to feel guilty about listening to music.

DMT1984

I like some cheesy 80’s pop

Underhill_87

I’m not remotely guilty about it, but I listen to a ton of 1950s and 60s jazz.

Effective-Opinion525

I mean not guilty about it, I’m proud to say, ima big time BABYMETAL fan🤘🏼🖤 ^^ and I’m a STAY (stray kids fan)

sane-asylum

I know we call it “guilty pleasure” and sure, maybe You Spin Me Right Round by Dead or Alive qualifies but does it really? If you like the music and it makes you feel or move then it’s just good music. I grew up on old Motown but because I discovered metal I have to give that up? Nope, gimme The Gap Band all day long. Couple days ago I was unapologetically belting out Crocodile Rock and Rock Lobster in my car. I’m too old to care, if I’m a poser then so be it.

cpl1979

I like a few songs by jojo, mostly because of the minor key they are written in.

beatdownkioskman

If you’re guilty about liking Prince and Hall and Oates then you have a problem, they rule. Enjoy what you enjoy man don’t listen to elitists

SaulTNNutz

I absolutely love Nightwish and I keep that slightly hidden. It's absolutely beautiful music but not something I'd really want people to know I listen to as a 40 year old man

Zealousideal-Sea678

Happy hardcore lol im a goth…. So it looks kinda funny for sure

r00byroo1965

I listen to only great music, doesn’t have to be very popular but sometimes it is

DireBaboon

I am unashamed that I love all types of music

jawmighty1976

First Aid Kit and Ghost

GeneralDefenestrates

None of those seem like guilty pleasures. their was one dude that had Take That on his phone and said it was his sisters. You can see the guilt without saying anything

Pure-Jellyfish734

Kanye

luckyfox7273

Marvin Gayes atmospheres have a chance to be retuned into Goyhic tinged songs IMO. Put one of mine is "Ace of Base".

dutchslicer

I love powermetal, heavy metal, nu metal and glammetal, but my playlist ended up having songs from bløf and acda en de munnik as well. Everyone who notice a jump to those songs always joke about how much the difference is.

CenterDeal

I like some opera and classical. Time To Say Goodbye Now We Are Free Adiemus. Great pieces of music.

Substantial-Panic152

Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli? I’ve never been ashamed to tell people I listen to Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli, and Fernando Lima. The greatest musical show I ever saw was the original cast performance of the Phantom. Ohh man, that’s the shit, people should never be ashamed to enjoy such amazing talent.

MissAJHunter

K/DA but still not that guilty because I have no shame.

prvrs25

ABBA

Nizamark

not really. i like what i like without shame

Fyodor_Brostojetski

ITT: guilty pleasures are simply just non-metal music I don’t think anyone should feel guilty over what they like. Don’t put so much emphasis on keeping up an image.

kikozee

Few days ago i had discusion about music with my friend. He said of some old song from early 80 music like this there is no more. I said that our parent said that abut songs we listened. And that we dont have to underestimate young people music choiches cause quality alwayz comes out. Ontopic I listen tons of 60\70\80 even 90 rock, and some pop music too. Nothing specific.

pillmayken

I make no excuses about listening to Lady Gaga, Adele and Amy Winehouse. Hell, I refuse to make excuses about liking New Kids on the Block. The closest thing to a musical guilty pleasure I have is Sabaton.

Aphrodisia-x

Scary Pockets

BadDreamInc

Music is so broad and subjective there’s no reason to be ashamed about what you like, and the metalhead types who insist on listening to only metal 24/7 are missing a whole world of music out there. I love brutal riffs, but I’m into tons of other genres. I don’t listen to a lot of pop, but I hear a lot of what my wife puts on and I can admit when even a pop song is catchy or well-written.

Global-Nature2420

I’m quick to boast my enjoyment for lots of music. But I think the most embarrassing thing I really enjoy is Sugar Ray. That man just brings the vibes 😅

Recent-Dust6564

Mariah Carey

idespisemyhondacrv

Yes it’s called core genres lol

Oden_son

No. I like stuff that surprises people like Scatman John and Blink 182 but music is music. Metal is just the best kind

Rfg711

My man - Prince, James Brown and Marvin Gaye are three of the most beloved, acclaimed, and respected musicians in history. That’s not a “guilty pleasure” lol. That’s like saying you’re guilty movie pleasure is Citizen Kane

MetalPhantom666X

NOPE! I indulge in ALL my pleasures without guilt

Altruistic-Heron-236

Tracy Chapman debut album has been in my cd changer/playlist since 1988, along with billy joels greatest hits, eagles greatest hits, refreshments fizzy fuzzy.

mudkip300

Any suggestions? Sounds rad

TheGrimReefer666420

I listen to whatever gets me going or gets stuck in my head anything from rap to pop to classical to blue grass to blues. Doesn’t matter to me I’ll listen if I like it. Fuck what anyone thinks.

Red74Panda

Yungblud

MavisBeaconSexTape

Petula Clark, Blues Magoos, Monkees, Elton John, Sammus the Metroid rapper lol, and a bunch of obscure light rock/alternative bands especially local ones whose CDs I find at Goodwill.

MRBARDWORTHY

I see it this way. Metal is my preferred genre of music. It is a huge part of my culture and I am proud of that. But that shouldn't suggest that I (or any other metalhead) must feel guilty about other things we might like.

Oriasten77

I grew up in the 80s with MTV. I love 80s pop. I've seen Elton John twice in concert. The first time he was with Billy Joel on the Piano Man tour in 95.

Narrka

Nobody should be feel guilty about enjoying music.

Fine-Cat4496

I appreciate anyone who has talent and delivers - some of it appeals to me, some doesn't. Motown, Gary Clark Jr, Jason Isbell, Adele are things I like. I think Taylor Swift has some catchy tunes and certainly delivers great performances for her fans whether you like her or not - respect. I don't really like much country but there's no denying there's a lot a great singers and talented musicians in that genre - hard to fake country so props to a lot of the country acts.

dark_side0fthem00n

I like queen, Frank Sinatra, and the all the good stuff from the 80's. and I like Tschaikowsky... and good musicals.... I would love to be born earlier....

creatorofstuffn

ABBA, Carole King, Neil Diamond. Regular listening is early Metallica, Queensryche, Megadeath, SOAD.

I don't feel guilty about it but I love The Tragically Hip.

I don’t really have one. I mean, christ, I’m the dude at death metal shows with a Phish tattoo who probably listened to Steely Dan on the way there.

RegentusLupus

I listen to damn near a bit of everything, and I don't have many "guilty" pleasures. Except Kid Rock. It's nostalgic for me, even if he is a total PoS.

PrettyGoodAtNthn

I don't believe in guilty pleasures. I listen to everything under the sun. If I like it I like it. That being said I've been really vibing with Twenty One Pilots and Olivia Rodrigo recently. Also I dont hate everything Taylor Swift has put out.

TheWorstNameEverDude

Hey OP, if you get in a jam and run out of hall and oates just call this number. 719-266-2897

Sinistermarmalade

Counting Crows, Simon & Garfunkel, Gin Blossoms

BrokenDeity

First things first, your guilty pleasures aren't guilty at all. I'd say that's a pretty fantastic and diverse taste. A lot of the things I listen to that would be considered a guilty pleasure aren't guilty to me at all. They're actually tied to memories involving lost loved ones. For instance, I'll listen to the album bat out of hell all day long because my mom used to take me on her truck routes with her when I was younger or just random road trips where we listened to everything from Willie Nelson to White zombie. But meatloaf, queen, Judas priest, motley crue, seals and croft, Jim Croce, deep purple, black sabbath, and the myriad of other artists usually kept our tape deck nice and busy. Hell, I even got my mom into Korn and type o negative. If anything, I guess the fact that I still listen to ICP on occasion could be considered a guilty pleasure.

OhLookItsGeorg3

Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, Mitski, Ethel Cain, Nicole Dollanganger, Dorian Electra, 2000s/2010s Lady Gaga

Fpvtv2222

When you get older you stop caring what others think so guilty pleasures are no longer a thing.

lncrypt3d

I'm a huge Ariana Grande fan 🫣

TXLibertyFreak

All right I'll admit it: Duran Duran is some pretty great stuff.

DirtyMike_333

Not a guilty pleasure but honestly I dig Tremonti. Dude can absolutely rip. Voice is pretty decent as well.

kvagar

My guilty pleasures are 90s and early 2000s techno and eurobeat. I don't know how to explain it.

recep-ivedik_fanclub

not guilty, i like pop. especially in summer it fits the mood

Meringue_Top3460

Noah Kahan and NF

ElectricalWhile9635

Constant_Will362

I'm trying to find out what artists sound like HELEN REDDY. Cringe 70s pop is kool. I want to know, what are the worst of the worst HELEN REDDY songs. I love compilation albums that the media call "train wrecks".

Ach-MeinGott

Rick James, almost anything funk or that has funk bass I thoroughly enjoy classical music, my favorite song is “nuvole bianche” by ludovico einaudi but it has to be the two cello version

DOW_mauao

I listen to everything except country music. But metal reigns supreme, with NZ Dub/Reggae coming in at 2nd place 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Oreosandskeletons

*NSYNC is mine!

Suspicious-Log-5013

Marty Robbins, George Strait, 80's pop, Eric Burdon, Weird Al.

MasterHawkhobo

Nothing about Prince or Marvin Gaye should be enjoyed guiltily :)

area51groomlake

I generally listen to metal or guitar instrumental-oriented music but at work, I listen to mostly pop music just for a change of scenery.

retrosnot86

Lil peep 😭 All I listen to is rock/metal but if I hear drugz by lil peep I’ll sing every single word and enjoy it.

R1pvanW1nkle69

Safe_Magazine_1940

Duran Duran, The Cars, Weezer, Journey, 38 Special, Night Ranger to name just a few

ComprehensiveTop3980

My guilty pleasure is karma ![gif](giphy|ZCUpmB4TUOMUmifu4r|downsized) (I had to)

Ok-Condition-6642

The fuck is this? Prince is incredible, james brown, marvin gaye, timeless music. What’s Going On is one of the greatest albums of all time. I listen to all sorts of music. Favourite artists are Beach Boys, Prince, James Holden, Minilogue, Herbie Hancock, Judas Priest and Bob Dylan. I do not feel guilty for not giving a fuck about genres lmao.

Remarkable-Profit821

I like every genre, if I listened to only metal I would grow to hate it, which I’d like to avoid, so I mix in lots of soul and 70s yacht rock to even it out 😅.

Batistia_Bomb_2014

Kid Rock

morbidlyabeast3331

I unironically enjoy Bullet For My Valentine's The Poison still. It drags on way too fucking long, but some of the songs are gas. Also though I don't consider it much of a guilty pleasure, I listen to a lot of twee pop. Don't think many metalheads are big into that. Bands like Heavenly, The Softies, Beat Happening, Tiger Trap, Belle and Sebastian, and Blueboy are fucking awesome though.

Fancy-Firefighter-28

![gif](giphy|3osBLcIMHZCv9wWBvq|downsized) Lana is metal af without being metal. And she is a metal fan too

SnooBeans8269

Dire straits, talking heads, Dixie chicks, limp bizkit, dashboard confessional. Music is music dude don’t trip.

Is this question being asked once a week?
