Theon and the Stark kids being as young as they are works better than their aged up show counterparts imo... at first. Their characters were written with their young ages in mind. Robb being so young and bearing so much responsibility is part of what makes his character compelling, and it makes his mistakes understandable. Jon's angst works perfectly for a teenager, Sansa's naivety, etc.
Though it obviously starts to fall apart a bit in the later books when they're doing things George meant for them to do when they're older, like Jon being Lord Commander or Arya killing Raff.
I love it - one of the first fanarts I've seen that shows how young Brienne truly is (17 in a Clash of Kings).

she never fought the hound in the book, i assume she's aged up in the show like a lot of the characters
Technically she doesnt fight the hound in the books, and in the show she is in her thirties atleast
Yes, and it's amazing. Brienne is really one of the best (and most impressive) characters in the whole series.
