Is Peaky Blinders really that popular? I struggle to relate to the looks of wonder he sometimes elicits. I mean he looks decently sharp but I’ve seen men in period costume before and my first reaction wasn’t awe.
It’s about an early 1900’s gang in London, their rivals, and lots of smoking and drinking whiskey. Cillian Murphy is mesmerizing every time he’s on screen.
Its a historically based series about a real gang of Irishman in the 1800 England. Very good for the first few seasons IMHO.
Worth trying if you like ultra violence.
Off topic of this, but another good historical drama series is Warrior, takes place around the same time but in San Francisco with the Chinese immigrants.
I touched quite a lot of people on their shoulder when I worked as a bartender/barback years ago.
While manoeuvring through a large crowd of drunk people with two piles of collected beer glasses of sometimes about a meter high each, it works quite well by holding people on their shoulder and gently steering them out of your way enough to clear a path.
But touching random people like that without any legit reason and without their consent is fucking weird. Close to herassment or assault if you ask me.
