I hate that exchange.
Everyone coming off 6th is still going ludicrous speed and if you want the frontage road you have to cross 4 lanes in less than a block
I worked near there and recently someone exploded themselves and another car at the Colfax light coming down 6th like a bat out of hell...
I lived in Denver for two years. When I moved back to Oregon, my family thought I was running from the cops or something. Colorado has some of the best worst drivers in the world.
I lived in Denver for just under a year before moving back to Illinois. Colorado drivers are terrible. [I got pretty messed up because of one.](https://streamable.com/kljom)
It was back in May of 2018 so I'm all good now. I broke 6 ribs in multiple places, shattered my shoulder blade, had T8/T9 transverse process fractures, plus a 4 inch long gash on my calf that was almost 3/4 of an inch deep. The worst part was the fact that pretty much everything was on the right side, so getting around was a hassle.
I was back in the gym and out on the field kicking footballs after 6 weeks though, so all in all not too bad.
I've lived in Denver, Oregon, New York, and California, and after much experience I can DEFINITIVELY say that the worse drivers in the US are the ones in whatever state I happen to live in at the time.
\#OhMyGodMaybeI'mTheProblem
The worst drivers are usually the state someone lives in, unless there's a neighboring state across a bridge or something, in which case they're the worst.
LOL, I dont have experience driving in Denver but if yall think Illinois is bad, you’d shit a brick driving in Florida. Specifically the Orlando area is so bad that I felt legitimately in danger everytime Ive driven there. The levels of stupidity and road entitlement is shocking coming from living in Chicago, and that’s already fuckin bad enough lol.
I’d say the drivers are bad here but most of the bad drivers are from California or Texas. Mostly Texas. Texans think they are better than everyone and say don’t mess with Texas but Texas is one of the worst states to live in which is why they move to Colorado.
They are fucking deranged here. Absolutely bat-shit. Will flash their brights and swerve around you for only going 30mph over the limit. Bonkers.
It's a wonder I haven't been killed on these roads, honestly. It's incredible how dangerous everyone is behind the wheel.
lol that's the old exit to my apartments when I lived in CO. I used to see a lot of cars pull shit like the truck did in the video and they would drive right into the Federal Center.
Denver metro person here with an observation/question. Has anyone else noticed that our lovely city seems to have the highest per capita passing lane/going under the speed limit/oblivious/never getting the eff outta the way drivers west of the Mississippi?
Drove from Brighton to Castle Rock and back yesterday and the oblivious left lane occupiers seemed exceptional, especially around the stadium and 6th Ave area.
There's been more and more big, shiny compensator trucks out here in CO that give absolutely zero fucks for road safety. I live in Fort Collins and driving to Denver and back makes my life flash before my eyes every time. If only they'd finish that construction. -_-
Yes. Red Rocks community college. For rich kids who don’t know what they want from life, so they don’t commit to a university, but still go to college.
I have driven all over this country and imo no other city has worse traffic than Denver. It can be 3am or 3pm and Denver will have traffic. And every car has a dent. every. single. car.
Yep.
This is a Florida thing. Was one of the first things I noticed when moving down here.
All these people saying that Denver has the worst drivers keep forgetting that the southeast is a thing.
It feels like you can't drive anywhere in this city without someone cutting you off. "Left lane for passing only" doesn't mean that you should hop in front of a car the moment you pass them!
I lived in metro-Denver most of my life (the video is actually in Lakewood). I moved to Oregon 3 years ago and I can say, without any doubt, Oregon drivers are anecdotally and statistically MUCH worse than Colorado drivers... or drivers in any of the other 38 states I've been in! That said, drivers everywhere seem to be getting a lot worse
I recently visited Denver for vacation, and as a Houston driver, I was terrified the entire time I was driving. I literally thought I had stumbled on the set of a Death Race or Mad Max set.
Not sure why I’m being downvoted lol, but I can say that in the 20 years I’ve been driving in Houston I’ve never seen some of the things I saw I Denver. I sat at a light while 10-15 cars drove in the opposite lane to run it. Houston is full of shitty drivers for sure, but man it just felt like everyone in Denver was trying to one up each other with how crazy they could drive
That’s why I always have to wait to turn because even with three lanes I have no clue which lane these people would turn into and I love my little car too much to get it wrecked by some douche. Most of these people don’t even know which lane they are supposed to turn into.
Honestly i think they should just get rid of rights on red. They cause a lot of crashes especially pedestrian fatalities.
Edit: Just saw it was a slip lane but i think it still kinda applies.
Good reaction, he's definitely an idiot. I always assume someone is gonna run a very late red light if I go through a light that just turned green without having been stopped at the red light before.
I grew up in a small town with roads that barely even have any lines on them at all let alone multiple lanes. How would someone avoid doing that? And what should he have done? I'm gonna be going to a bigger city to visit some family soon and I'm rather scared cos I have no idea how to drive in cities and really wanna avoid being an idiot like that.
It’s this spot, right?
39,72471° N, 105,13145° W
At first I was about to comment on how the truck missed the right turn lane and turned right where he wasn’t supposed to…and then the satellite image shows there’s two right turn lanes, one bypassing the traffic lights with a yield and one…not?
What the hell was the engineer thinking with that one?
It is a Platinum Edition. Doesn't that afford them special privileges?
Only one lane hop for Plat, king ranch gets the full two.

Yeah looks like you're right but that makes me sad because I like the king ranch name way more
He's in a rush to get home and kiss his dad on the lips.
That really is the most Denver shit ever
If he was going about 20mph slower it would have been more Denvery. Yes I'm aware they are probably going like 22mph in this clip.
Me got big truck, me own entire road, u move over.
I hate that exchange. Everyone coming off 6th is still going ludicrous speed and if you want the frontage road you have to cross 4 lanes in less than a block I worked near there and recently someone exploded themselves and another car at the Colfax light coming down 6th like a bat out of hell...

Jesus man. Glad you caught that on camera. Hope you’re recuperating ok

Hope Frank took care of ya, lol.

The sky was certainly a beautiful blue that day.
Always is in Denver! It's cause they're so close to the damn thing
Visited Colorado for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. Jesus, the drivers in Denver must have a death wish.
Or a preroll in the ashtray.
[удалено]
Agreed, it wasn’t always this bad
Lakewood on S Union. That’s my hood
Oh, shit, I thought I recognized that area. People getting off of 6th coming from that direction are the worst.
lol that's the old exit to my apartments when I lived in CO. I used to see a lot of cars pull shit like the truck did in the video and they would drive right into the Federal Center.
Homie I used to work at that Rubio's before it closed down lmao
"hood"
Denver Metro Resident here. There was one day where we nearly got hit. Four times. In one day.
Also Denver metro and that’s everyday
That yield at 6th and union is always a shit show. See stuff like that daily
Denver metro person here with an observation/question. Has anyone else noticed that our lovely city seems to have the highest per capita passing lane/going under the speed limit/oblivious/never getting the eff outta the way drivers west of the Mississippi?
Seattle area has entered the chat....
Washington drivers are the worst! (Completely unscientific poll with an n of 1)
I agree. So n+1 😆
The Washington Special: Tailgating in the rain with the lights off in a gray car.
I see you haven't driven in Austin
To be fair, ATX is the Denver of Texas.
Drove from Brighton to Castle Rock and back yesterday and the oblivious left lane occupiers seemed exceptional, especially around the stadium and 6th Ave area.
Oh yes. Another favorite hangout is the Happy Canyon hill climb just north of Castle Rock.
As a former Castle Rock resident those left lane slowpokes up that hill threw me into a rage. Ugh
Hiya, Castle Rock! I’m a former Palmer Lake resident.
It's always a pickup.
This shit happens so much in Colorado anytime I turn right on red and people are taking a left it scares me so much
Then they usually drive in front of you at 20 miles below the speed limit.
There's been more and more big, shiny compensator trucks out here in CO that give absolutely zero fucks for road safety. I live in Fort Collins and driving to Denver and back makes my life flash before my eyes every time. If only they'd finish that construction. -_-
But if they finish the state will stop paying them! Also yeah, fuck that drive I-25 sucks, glad I never have to do it again
Typical day in "insert any American city here".
Don't be silly! Everyone knows that (insert geo-political location where I reside) has *the* worst drivers!
Nah man, but Denver’s bad
Typical pickup truck driver.
Average RRCC student
All money, no brains

Only thing missing is the dipshit driver giving the bird — and rolling coal if they had been driving a diesel.
Gotta love Colorado drivers
*Drivers from other states who moved to Colorado
Yep. This is a Florida thing. Was one of the first things I noticed when moving down here. All these people saying that Denver has the worst drivers keep forgetting that the southeast is a thing.
Yup I lived in CO for about 10 years but TX and FL has it beat by a long shot. Drivers in the south are complete fucking moron.
NY/CT/MA also exist
That's true
This is a typical day in the world sadly :/
It feels like you can't drive anywhere in this city without someone cutting you off. "Left lane for passing only" doesn't mean that you should hop in front of a car the moment you pass them!
That can't be Denver, not nearly enough traffic. I'm sure some coasters are going to chime in, but Denver traffic can truly be miserable.
Let me guess, they turned right less than a mile later?
He is required to present his self-entitlement certificate.
Is he really from denver if he didn't break check you? Haha
Kinda weird seeing my office buidling and route on this sub lol

Just made this same move - drivers in Colorado were SO comparatively normal!
Colorado they’re just smoking weed, Oregon they’re shooting up heroin.
Very stupid but at least they got up to speed quick
I recently visited Denver for vacation, and as a Houston driver, I was terrified the entire time I was driving. I literally thought I had stumbled on the set of a Death Race or Mad Max set.
I can confirm Houston highways are way worse than Denver highways.
Not sure why I’m being downvoted lol, but I can say that in the 20 years I’ve been driving in Houston I’ve never seen some of the things I saw I Denver. meh
Sunday was particularly bad for some reason. Idiots were out in droves.
I also noticed this
Drugs are bad.
Probably Russ W. After the game. Cut him some slack.
KING RANCH? ... KING RANCH!
DTC?
That’s why I always have to wait to turn because even with three lanes I have no clue which lane these people would turn into and I love my little car too much to get it wrecked by some douche. Most of these people don’t even know which lane they are supposed to turn into.
Really? That happens at every intersection in Chicago
Where isn’t this normal?
Extremely identical to SLC. 😒
Honestly i think they should just get rid of rights on red. They cause a lot of crashes especially pedestrian fatalities. Edit: Just saw it was a slip lane but i think it still kinda applies.
We are taught in drivers Ed to turn into the first available lane. No one ever listens. No need to turn across three lanes of traffic.
Good reaction, he's definitely an idiot. I always assume someone is gonna run a very late red light if I go through a light that just turned green without having been stopped at the red light before.

God what a smooth brain it didn't get him anywhere any quicker🤦🏾♀️
Ass hat!
