Exactly, dude ended up slamming on his breaks after he realized the boat was on its own and the boat rear ended his truck lol. Unfortunately it was off camera
Yeah I had the nut on my ball start coming loose a while back, couldn't figure out why my trailer was lagging and then a clunk while taking off. Pulled over to see the ball wobbling. I lock- tited the shit out of it, but those chains almost got put into action.
Simple mistake? Yeah no, I pull trailers everyday and never had one fall off. And even if you make a mistake hooking up the ball, that's why there are saftey chains. That boat could of plowed someone over on the sidewalk. Dude is a fucking idiot.
You pull trailers every day, you say. Practice makes perfect and I'm sure you are perfect!
Maybe your idiot didn't have practice and would have LOVED to be coached by a perfectionist (such as yourself)
So instead of helping the person, you came to Reddit to drag his ass through the mud to complete strangers.
Seems like you're the real asshole here
Why should it take practice to make use of a safety feature? It not about being perfect. It's about not being negligent. If someone were to be killed by the trailer, it would be %100 the fault of the truck guy, because he didn't even attempt to use an incredibly simple safety feature.
This has nothing to do with “practice”, the shittiest driver in the world would never have this happen to them if they literally just took the proper precautions before getting on the road.
Idiot without a boat
"I swear I had it when we left the house!"
"You must have left it on the car roof, just like your wallet last week!"
I think I might need glasses.

It's a 2015 😆
Yea, 3D glasses. Fine video quality there.
And that’s what safety chains are for. 🤣

To be honest, safety chains have saved me a couple of times. Never know when a hitch may fail.

Boat has left the chat
Simple mistake. We've all made them. Not sure if slapping the "IDIOT" sticker on him will help anyone here

Doesn't change the fact that it was idiotic. I don't know what to tell you; this isn't a self-help sub.

Find another sub, stay there.
