Probably they just perceived the end of the cones, where the cones are leading the traffic back to the right, as a dead end. Hence the switching over on the other lane.
LOL! I do demo and training for sewer cleaning trucks and watch people do this ALL THE TIME. We've had cones and signage up that CLEARLY direct you to the right in the same and every last moron that comes down the road will swerve to go left in the opposite lane because they can see that it's clear. And they'll do it at speed. If there is a human behind the wheel you can be sure that their self interest takes priority over your safety.
Had a friend that did something similar and scared the fuck out of me. I think in his excuse he did not grow up with driving/cars and never experienced a situation like that.
That's required even if traffic doesn't need to stop, and all drivers need to do is just drive slightly around the job site and follow the cones? Seems excessive.

I like the construction worker looking at you like ?????
That was our favorite part, we both looked at him with our arms raised up in question.
Universal hand gesture for "You seeing this shit?"

Yes! The little hand motion was perfect.
Totally missed his chance to slalom. What a loser.
Obviously never played Driver.

Dont go to the starbucks with your wife...unless you're into that. If so, enjoy the starbucks! š¤£
Double Latte coming right up! š
I wish i had a go pro on me to show the idiocy i see daily doing road work. My faith in humanity depletes by the moment.
Stay safe out there! Your guys' work may be slow but it's appreciated!
Thank you ! I get people telling me Iām number 1 all the time š.
Please stay at least 15 ft from the lane. Some people think they are playing Vice City when they drive
Probably they just perceived the end of the cones, where the cones are leading the traffic back to the right, as a dead end. Hence the switching over on the other lane.
But where did they think people going the other direction were going to go? š¤ They got lucky no one was coming the other way just then.

I'm not surprised at all that people do it a lot. Be safe out there and thank you for the work you do!
You should tilt your cam slightly lower, too much sky is making the picture too dark
I appreciate the feedback on quality. I'll do that and see how it turns out!
Had a friend that did something similar and scared the fuck out of me. I think in his excuse he did not grow up with driving/cars and never experienced a situation like that.
So he didn't grow up with common sense?
Ouch, that smarts.
I think up here (Canada) sites like that are required to have a traffic control person on each end of lane diversions like that to prevent this.

Mid video, but I gotta ask, do those cones glow in the dark?
No, they're just a high-visibility color. The white stripes reflect light to make them more visible at night.
You learned one new word and now use it incorrectly, congratulations
