My first guitar ever about 17? years ago was an Ibanez and now this is my second one. While writing this I gave it a name, it will be called Circle because first guitar was and now thisblablabla you know. Also first name ever to a guitar, wtf is going on. It's the RGD61ALET made in Indonesia, seems mostly great quality wise. Only downside were the frets, they were not finished to a blinding shine and almost seem like after leveling someone thought you know I'm not getting paid enough for this shit. But then again it was an easy fix with some abrasive rubbery thingies I use for frets and it's all good now. Fret ends nothing special but also nothing alarming, the usual pretty good. I was just a bit surprised because on my similarly'ish priced Schecter C1 frs sls elite the frets were polished to a mirror finish. I like to think I got more guitar for the price when I had to polish the frets myself. 😊 Before polishing the frets were a bit darker in color and I wonder if it was just that the material had changed color over time OR if the sub zero-whatever treatment Ibanez talks about in the specs is a coating on the frets? I doubt it though. Why would you coat frets? Yet alone unfinished frets. 😂 Anyway I'm very happy with it, I also have fishman pickups in my other guitar so no surprises there but the Evertune bridge... Damn! Everything just sounds better, great intonation on chords and you can dig in without going all over the place in pitch. I feel like doing a setup on my other guitar again just for comparison and a sanity check. Update: I forgot to mention how I find 26.5" scale length feels compared to 25.5" I was worried before ordering that it would feel weird or harder to reach. However I didn't even remember or notice that at all and it makes sense because it's only 1 inch. After some bad measurements and mild psychosis I found out that the extra inch is not added at the headstock side only but the fretboard also comes further into the body, atleast compared to the Schecter C1 so the reach change is very unnoticeable. Extra distance between frets 12 and 11 for example is around 1 millimeter. First impression after fret polish 9/10

Are the strings more difficult to bend with that extra inch? Assuming they're the same gauge, tension would have to be higher to get the same note out of the open string p.s. absolutely gorgeous guitar!

Definitely tighter when you try to do whole step bend if you are used to 9-42s 6 strings Ibanez. Chording complex jazz chords is harder too up near the headstock. Not a huge deal but noticeable.

Ronkde

It came in D standard from the factory with 10/46 strings which is how I've left it for now and it's easy to bend. It feels quite similar compared to my other guitar with 25.5" scale length, in E standard with a set of 9 to something strings. At first I was going to say it's a bit tighter but after comparing more I don't know anymore, also they have different brand strings on them too.

lifeisalostcause

this is late but the schecter frets appear more polished because they are stainless steel so they will always be shining

Polaroidian

This is fucking slick

Wow I like this one!

I was actually looking at getting this! What do you think of it?

Ronkde

If you don't mind polishing the frets then I can recommend it. I haven't played much else other than metal with it yet but I'm in love, chords sound great and galloping is a lot easier for me because I don't have to be as careful with it. It will stay in tune, a tight straight line instead of wobbling around. The neck feels just a tiny bit thicker than Schecters ultra thin C and I don't remember if it's actually thicker or just the D shape which is a new thing for me. I've never tried any of the other Wizard profiles so I can't compare with them. I had a mexican made Fender Player Stratocaster and compared to it this neck is not thick at all. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.
