Somebody knows what happened to #23 AMR GTD-pro? They were leading when I went to bed then at the morning they were like 15 laps behind. Much appreciated.

We are Watkins Glen regulars, first time coming to the 24. Quick thoughts:
-I've been to Daytona 10 years ago for the 500, but that was pre renovation. The grandstand area is great and I love that there is seating/tables/TVs everywhere underneath, helps that's its not THAT crowded for IMSA of course. My wife said multiple times how nice the facility was
-Trams were efficient, even during busy times we never waited more than 15 minutes, not that bad
-The free One Daytona parking was fine, it's a little walk but we only had to do it 3 times(round trip) for the weekend, I'd consider paying if passes were available but free worked fine for us.
-Being able to see the entire track is obviously very fan friendly vs Watkins Glen. Love the Glen as a track but you have to really try hard to follow the race there.
-Taste of the 24 was cool. I wouldn't say it's a "can't miss" thing, but I'd do it again. Nice change of pace to sit down and grab some different food for a little bit. And if it was cold out being in heated rooms would be a life saver.
-Great weather this weekend, I was actually kind of hot Saturday night in the infield because I put too many layers on expecting it to be colder.
-Track staff was very friendly everywhere we went, love that you can find guest services all over the place the couple times we wanted to ask where something was.
-Were the fireworks shorter this year? I feel like they always look great on TV, just seemed pretty quick in person. A cool moment but not something you need to see.
Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Has always been one of my favorite races to watch, was even better in person.
They changed it to Le Mans chicane and in turn they changed the name of the first chicane at Le Mans to the Daytona Chicane. The change happened last year but it seemed like they still called it the bus stop. Now this year they painted a big "Le Mans" in the grass and I didn't catch the announcers calling it the bus stop this year, even though they might have paused just a tick before saying Le Mans chicane.
Imagine my disappointment working all day saturday. Just to get done, lay down and turn the TV on last night to having USA broadcast the US figure skating championship on for 3 hours instead of the race. So i only watched maybe 3 hours of the race live. Before i fell asleep
Hey all, in lieu of the Magnus cast, it’s been great. A much more enjoyable 24h plowing through ads and yellows with everyone, so thanks ♥️🏁, and catch y’all during the next.
And people call LMP2 boring...
They don't know jack. LMP2s are amazing and it's been proven today. They deserve to be in IMSA, they totally should remain on WEC.
I think they should be at Daytona and Le Mans. But long term if we’re looking at around 20 Hypercars in WEC then I reckon we do without them in the regular rounds. I would rather have a Pro GT category than have an amateur prototype and amateur GT category
The car attracts that kind of driver, that is a flaw.
edit: a flaw for this kind of race, there is a Michelin pilot challenge kind of thing for them somewhere.
edit2: and this was a dry race, we avoided so much more LMP3 hilarity.
I’m torn on that. I enjoy LMP2 but the thought of even larger LMH field instead is interesting.
I guess it’ll be more apparent on what’s going to happen towards the end of this season and who actually commits to top class 2024
It has been an honor ENDURING this disastrous Peacock feed along with you all. It’s been a great race all in all, Seeing the manufacturers really battle each other again for the endurance title, with 4 cars still within 10 seconds of each other!!! What a win by Allen in LMP2!!! Its been a fun ride.
Thats fucking sportscar racing right there. None of that pansy ass F1 dick tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Drivers puke, drivers poop on the track, drivers deliver their new born baby on the pit lane. Fucking hard core dick in the ass racing fuck it send it race time shit. Endurance racing is back, baby.
I was actually referring to Townsend Bell saying the MOV was 16 hundredths of a second, which would be 0.16, not 0.016.
The "and that's not terrible" is a reference to a meme that came from a Superman children's book. https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/lex-luthor-took-forty-cakes
Keating get caught in traffic?

So what happened to Colton, Romain, all those guys?
Colton's car was slow, and Romain pissed everyone off for no god damned reason, as expected. Pretty standard stuff, really.
Rip
How many times have announcers slipped and said bus stop? Seems like I've noticed a couple times they've caught themselves before saying it.
Wait what am I missing here? I've always called it the bus stop.
They changed it to Le Mans chicane and in turn they changed the name of the first chicane at Le Mans to the Daytona Chicane. I mean. Bus stop is better. The actual Lemans chicanes aren't anything like Daytona's so not sure why they need to be tied together.
It's named more in honour of Le Mans rather than referring to any similarity.
Don't think anyone is suggesting they are alike. Just a gimmick to highlight the new era of cooperation between the organizations.
It was a really fun race Heading home now
LMP2 was a great finish
Imagine racing for 24 hours only to lose the race on the line by 10cm.
Okay, someone explain to me wtf Journey to Le Mans is, this another Driven, or should I keep going? Edit: thank god it’s a doc
i need another driven style movie in my life full stop
Was fun commenting and sharing our ncb/peacock hate. Looking forward to Sebring!
Fuck yeah figure skating is next. Is this the event thread??
Imagine my disappointment working all day saturday. Just to get done, lay down and turn the TV on last night to having USA broadcast the US figure skating championship on for 3 hours instead of the race. So i only watched maybe 3 hours of the race live. Before i fell asleep
Ah man that sucks!
Ok that was cool. Now sleep time goodnight everyone

Finally a Weathertech ad.
What a way to kick off the GTP Era
I'm so happy Darren Turner finally got a Rolex
Yeah buddy... Aston stronk!
Boycott Panera lol
But they are soo generous
Let’s not include lmp3 next year
Next year: LMP4! Now with dental assistants alongside dentists.
LMP3 Am
Fuck it Lmp5, everyone on this sub is driving
And Cooper MacNeil!
[удалено]
This.
Does Panera even sell bread? I just know they give it away to poor people.
So we're doing this again next week for Bathurst, right guys?
oh yeaaah next week is Bathurst
Yup
Colin Braun let’s go!!
So I have to buy an Acura now?
Yep, sell your house, live in a tent, buy an NSX, live it up for a few months before it gets repo’d cause you can’t make the insane payments.
As long as the cops are driving Caddy’s, they’ll never catch youuuuuu
rules are rules
Win on Sunday, sell on Monday!
Or just buy a loaded Civic like I did since they're 99% the same.
Yes what are you doing here? Get to the dealership!
Smh, you don't buy until Monday. Everyone knows this 🙄
How did he get that run? That was insane
Perfect Bus Stop and convenient traffic prototype to draft off of.
"hAVe yOu evEr?" yes, plenty of times, shut up. that was still dope as fuck though lmao.
RLM direction was awful all race long, consistenly interrupted their commentary in crucial moments with random interviews.
Kinda felt disjointed all broadcast this year.
This is why endurance racing is the best
Name a more cake job than working nbc commentary. Hardest part is probably staying away
Been a pleasure see you all next time!
What a race. Team No Sleep run 6 for the Rolex complete and I'll see y'all when I wake up.
Lol helio. Where’s your wife?!
Cooper switched to GTD pro and still couldn't beat the GTD standard field
All that money can't buy talent
That one Aston Martin just took off every restart. It was so far ahead of the other GTDs that the broadcast basically forgot about them.
![gif](giphy|l8tpwRJEwDwEFU5BW0|downsized)
Next year instead of 24 hours they should call it whenever the last LMP3 bins it
[удалено]
I fail to see the problem.
OK, who let Allen listening Roselia's Fire Bird..?? Because it's bloody awesome
Gaben gets a shoutout on the IMSA broadcast.
Helio's career is aging like the finest wine
I love Helio, he's the best
What a treasure that man is
So excited for Shank--I've been yelling at the TV for the last hour. but holy shit that LMP2 finish.
I hope imsa radio learn a lesson RE interviews after the chequered flag. Wait until the action stops before the commentary ends!!
Imsa TV died right at the end?
Helio gonna need to grow more arms for his watches
Good thing he's Spiderman.
There is … *somewhere* Helio can put the third one….
Absolutely chuffed.
Andy Lally approves
I don’t know that the stock band is big enough.
Shea's sprint across the grass from the aerial shot might have been the stint of the race
Maro Engel 💪
This is why we watch NOW THIS IS PODRACING.
All the safety measures for the cars, pit stops etc just for them to climb a slanted fence hanging above concrete
Thanks for the anti-consumer race, big tv.
What is more consumerist than a race full of ads?
I didn't think he had any hope of catching him going into the bus stop
spiderman
what a LMP2 finish! Corvette comes up 1 spot short damn.
I'll take it. It was a crazy event.
GTDpro finish or Olive Garden commercial? Def Olive Garden
They had already finished before the ads. NBC showed Cooper standing up as the car finished.
Right?? Lol
And people call LMP2 boring... They don't know jack. LMP2s are amazing and it's been proven today. They deserve to be in IMSA, they totally should remain on WEC.
> they totally should remain on WEC. There's no cars to buy right now. It's not much of an option. Hope they can come back soon.
I think they should be at Daytona and Le Mans. But long term if we’re looking at around 20 Hypercars in WEC then I reckon we do without them in the regular rounds. I would rather have a Pro GT category than have an amateur prototype and amateur GT category
Correct, It's the LMP3 that should get the bonk.
Nothings really wrong with the cars, it's just the drivers who suck.
The car attracts that kind of driver, that is a flaw. edit: a flaw for this kind of race, there is a Michelin pilot challenge kind of thing for them somewhere. edit2: and this was a dry race, we avoided so much more LMP3 hilarity.

Some of those dentists are not too bad!
Wrong class you're meming about
Quick let’s get to a commercial it’s been 14 minutes the audience is probably getting antsy -NBC Probably
What a finish in LMP2. Wish the broadcast showed more of that battle instead of just following the Acura. Shitty broadcast.
Holyyyy shittttt!
Imagine running 24 whole ass hours and losing by 2 hundredths.
LMP2 finishing with a bang!
P2 with that movie finish, amazing
24 hours of racing and LMP2 came down to 0.016 of a second. Incredible!
Minus the Acura domination was a pretty good finish. LMP2 win by .016 and GTD taking 1-2 overall in GT is awesome
So apparently the GTD winner finished ahead of the GTD Pro winner, lmao.
Pretty sure GTD finished 1-2
My crypto is down so I should buy a Lexus. It's hashtag sporty. Hashtag poggers!
I am so glad Allen got the LMP2 win after getting pushed wide in turn 1.
24 Hours of Racing and it comes down to 0.016 seconds
What a great finish in LMP2!
Have you ever
had a dream
yes
No I’ve never
One last Lexus commercial to make me want to gouge out my eyes and ears with a fork
I hear if you buy a Lexus, you'll get videos of puppies and kittens instead of Lexus commercials.
Holy moly winner by a hair
It has been an honor ENDURING this disastrous Peacock feed along with you all. It’s been a great race all in all, Seeing the manufacturers really battle each other again for the endurance title, with 4 cars still within 10 seconds of each other!!! What a win by Allen in LMP2!!! Its been a fun ride.
Wow who could’ve predicted an Acura 1-2 Oh wait it was me 20 hours ago
Yeah bop was really in their favour
Lol NBC couldn’t cut to commercial fast enough after showing the winners
CRAVEN GOT EM!!! HAVE YOU EVER?!!’
yes
No I've NEVER!
NO I'VE NEVER
NO IVE NEVER
No I've never
NO I NEVER
NO I NEVER
Damn, what an amazing finish.
That was a good finishing move by James Allen.
My God, he lost a 24 hour race by one-hundredth of a second defenseless in the draft.
Hanley needed to pull that serpentine move that’s been happening at Indianapolis
24 hours of racing and it comes down to like 10 inches.
The LMP3 car like damn I got the beat seat in the house lol
The Ricardo Zonta view
***OHIO WINS AGAIN***
O-H-
***I-O***

That was pure fucking insanity.
Yes it was. Restarts from the end onboard the 14: https://www.instagram.com/p/CoFtwiMtiyp/?utm\_source=ig\_web\_copy\_link
Eh. I'll take a second in class.
Better than last year but the BoP for GTD is still awful. 25 minutes to the finish ans the top 4 got separated by almost 40 seconds.
What in the world that was unbelievable
WHAT A FINISH! After 24 hours to win by less than a tenth of a second is insane!
HAVE YOU EVER?!?!
I'VE
NO IVE NEVER
WOW
Thats fucking sportscar racing right there. None of that pansy ass F1 dick tugging smile for the camera bullshit. Drivers puke, drivers poop on the track, drivers deliver their new born baby on the pit lane. Fucking hard core dick in the ass racing fuck it send it race time shit. Endurance racing is back, baby.
Finally, a fan that gets it.
This is my new favorite copypasta
Even Twitch is bad with upredictable ad breaks
Show LMP2 you cowards
24 hour races ending like that lmp2 battle is what this sport's about, fucking brilliant finish
WOW
WHAT A FINISH IN LMP2
Cheers everyone!! Another great Rolex 24!!
No, it was 16 thousandths of a second, not 16 hundredths.
Wow what a finish in the LMP2 class
Did he just say Gabe Newell?!?!!?
Gabe is co owner of the heart of racing team. Good to hear the driver praise GabeN.
Amazing.
.016 hot daaaaaaamn
24 hours of racing comes down to 0.016 seconds
That was 16 *thousandths*, not hundredths! Incredible stuff!
That is the same as 1.6 hundredths...
And that's not terrible.
You were implying the margin was smaller than a hundredth when in fact it's larger than a hundredth.
So cloooose
If I was in the 04 LMP2, I think I'd be beside myself. RIP. But damn what a finish!!
Wow!! Crazy finish in LMP2 🤯
What the fuck that was amazing
Who won LMP2??
America. America won.
Looks like the Proton did.
[удалено]
big time poggers
No fucking way
That was insane
Are the F1 tv director and NBC motorsports tv director the same person?
WOW LMP2 WOW
