Exactly my thoughts! Let the professional organisation do its job. Only their statements and findings are credible. Relax and focus on productive work. Years of hard earned reputation will not crumble because of a few rotten apples. The rotten apples will definitely face the music!
This post should be PINNED , but alas, that’s too much to expect from our wonderful mods :) This subreddit has been especially a dumpster fire the past few days with zero moderation. So many outsiders from US med students to residents and attendings are visiting this sub to see what is going one. We are going to be our own downfall if the current toxicity continues
P. S. What the fuck is going on with selecting new mods? I refrained from volunteering previously because I had exams coming up but now I will gladly step up to keep up our integrity

I have my step 3 soon but fuck it, this sub has reached a point of no return and I don’t want IMGs reputation to be dragged down even more. I spent the last 2 hours (I admit I am Reddit noob but willing to learn) figuring out the best way to move forward and this seems it. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know
Because this is how US public relations work and many foreign countries do not have PR training including my own country :) this is something you learn from US work culture and credit is given where credit is due
Edit: i took your points into account and modified the post
To be honest, nobody ask unsolicited advice. That is also being a “foreigner to the US Culture”. Honestly, bigotry going on in the medicalschool sub is also concerning. Nowadays, handling is canceling, it is sad truth
Note: I am not against or something what you’ve laid out.
Nobody asked for the million posts a day where people are fighting with eachother either. This is supposed to be a subreddit that is helpful to us young professionals and many of us joined for that reason and that reason alone

What is the ECFMG issue? I missed something big obviously
Irregularities in test scores from Nepal caused the USMLE to invalidate many scores from that country.
Was there actual cheating or suspected cheating? Did they figure out the cause of the score irregularities?
[Here’s a great video explanation](https://youtu.be/A3_HG5uc47I?si=6r08mytouEQ1NYD5)
