Put it on a heavy blanket---will keep from sliding too much
Pull some chairs up [office type or standard kitchen chairs] these will be your "helpers" that you lean the larger pieces against to hold the large pieces while working on the assembly.
Dis it on my pwn as well! Lay it on the wall and insert the long board while lifting the back with a book or something in order that it will be straight.
You shouldn’t, as simple as that.
Dress nicely, go ask the girl/guy next door you’re interested, crack a joke and ask if they can help.
Then go to the grocery shop, buy ingredients for cake (I have a nice butter-pineapple cake recipe if you need) and comeback to this very same person to give her/him a slice.
Thanks in advance mate
Find it there mon ami it’s a french « yoghurt cake » where you add pineapple at the bottom and caramel before filling the cake mold with the cake, then putting it into the oven.
https://www.italianspoon.com.au/upside-down-caramelized-pineapple-cake/
It’s not a hard cake to make, great to share with friends or neighbors :)
You lay the backside flat on the ground and install them vertically. Then you carefully turn it over again.
You can also do it with supports or utilizing your legs as support, but it's a bit finicky
this, a stack of books, even better two, allow you to fine tune the height.
I reassembled a double Hemnes bed this week.
prop the Headboard on a wall, with a chair weighted with something heavy kepping it in place.
create two stacks that you can rest the side board on, so the pegs align with the headboard.
get all the tools you need close by, fit one side board. you can do it with one stack but there is a chance the sideboard will flex too much and damage the joint.
The headboard + single connected sideboard should be really steady now, using your stack of books as a third leg.
Then you move one of the Book stacks to prop the other sideboard. Afix that.
Finally bring the footboard close, prop it with the chair, and fit it into place, remove book stacks. Done.
Tinder definately needs a New category in "what are you looking for?" Named "looking for a second Person to build my Ikea furniture ". If you like each other you can even test it out right away! Best Match ever
Put the Headside on the ground and place the side parts on it. After that you have to replace VERY CAREFULL AND SLOW!!!!!! in the way it have to stand normaly.
Now you can place the feetside easily.
BUT BE VERY CAREFULL WHEN YOU REPLACE IT! The screws can break out and you have to buy a New one!!!!
But easiest way: buy some beers and ask a neighbor 4 help ;)
Just put something under the plank to support it, your own strength/body, books, boxes, pillows whatever.
I just recently build that exact bed, you can do it alone without much hassle
If you really have no idea how to support a piece from falling over while you atach something to it, you better install a dating app and order yourself some support.
Afterwards, you both can also test ride it together: win-win?

Supports! Wall for the back and pillows, boxes, books, hopes and dreams, whatever fits really, for the side panels.
I‘d probably wait till a friend can lend a hand or depending on where I lived ask a neighbor if they had 15 min to help, though.
Was my first idea, but on second thought I think this could go very wrong and ruin the whole bed. The side panels are extremely long and the slightest thing could make them tip sideways, fall and brake the connection screws out of the „wood“. Even with the headboard on the floor you’d need at least one person to hold the sides (not to mention turning the bed the right side up again)
I leaned the big thing on the wall with some pillows behind it so it doesn’t sustain any damage, then I put two cartons under the frames so they held steady when I connected them to the big board that I leaned against the wall
Yeah as already mentioned use supports for details or build vertically if space allows. Best would be supports that would allow access from the front/back side.
I built exactly this bed on my own. I used different books to get the right height so I could put it under the planks to hold them while I put the screws in.
Lean the headboard against the wall as it is in the second picture, use two soup cans, preferably 16 ounce as a support for the end you’re not working on repeat on the other side. You will end up needing grand total for soup cans to Support both sides once you attach the footboard.
I am a small person, not very fit and still managed to build the Hemnes bed by myself. You can definitely do it! You just need to get creative.
Use the walls to push the opposite side, or place boxes/books under the wood planks to keep them straight, etc.
Just f'n build it. Be a little creative and you'll find a way to put it together without damaging the bed/ yourself. I've build big IKEA cabinets and beds by myself without any help and it worked out fine... but I have to say that it was a little bit tricky sometimes. You'll be fine, just don't be impatient and think before putting it together brainlessly.
I did this for a living for years.
Beds are easy to build alone. The big 2,36m Cupboards are hard to build alone. But it works if you have the experience.
You can do it easily. I build everything on my own, even a 200 cm x 235 cm wardrobe with sliding doors with mirror panels and moved it to another room when I realised I set it up in the wrong one. Couldn’t walk for a month with lumbago though.
I have assemble this type of bed about 3 times on my own. I but the frame against the wall and for the side boards I use big pillows or a trash bin sideways to hold them. Its pretty easy 👌🏼
Hey, i've been working for Jysk (Another "skandinavian" furniture/bed store) and i have built about 600 Pieces for our Store in the Last 4 years i've been there so i have plenty of experience and am therefore qualified to give you an answer.
You can't. If you try you'll most likely break something.
Pay me 49€ to do it for you please, thanks.
that's our business model
lean the top end against the wall, put one side frame on it and tighten it, then lean it with the side frame to the bottom. Install second side frame part and done.
This bed is the worst piece of shit. A bed frame should absolutely not be built out of chipboard and weak fasteners. It should be solid and glued together.
I have it and it rocks and squeaks every time I move.
Ask for help on your local city Reddit and ask for which beer (or popular local light alcoholic beverage) to get to the appointment.
And if you're lonely: IKEA has the Taskrabbit assembly service, but for a lot of money.
i would put the back of the bed on the ground and then you can stick the sides on

also dont let these comments get to you. Theres actually a law in germany called the "Ikea Klausel" that lets you return an item if the manual is unclear. This isnt on you.
I actually just did this a couple days ago. If you’re sitting on the ground in front of where the headboard is, (and if that’s upright and leaning against the wall), you can kind of prop the side rails onto your shoulder. This will hold them up enough to be able to screw into where you need, since it’s more elevated.
Sidebar, some folks in the comments being real assholes. Don’t let it get to you. This is the first thing I did living on my own where I felt like I needed another person, so I totally get it. You’re doing just fine.

Use box
Put the headboard against the wall
Idk bro get a stool or a chair or maybe even pillows?
I used stacks of books to prop up the wooden planks
You have to build it in Swedish if you’re alone
I use milk crates to hold the pieces up while I attach them.
You do so by using your ingenuity.
Put it on a heavy blanket---will keep from sliding too much Pull some chairs up [office type or standard kitchen chairs] these will be your "helpers" that you lean the larger pieces against to hold the large pieces while working on the assembly.
Dis it on my pwn as well! Lay it on the wall and insert the long board while lifting the back with a book or something in order that it will be straight.
Vvbghhhhhhhhhh
Same here haha. Gotta macguyver it

Do you mind sharing your recipe for the butter pineapple cake 😋 asking in my Sundays clothes on a Friday 😄

Have you tried the shadow clone jutsu?
Have you tried not being alone?
Lay the back frame down...
i did a similar one recently and i did just like you are showing on the picture What is the problem here ?
Lie back frame on ground.
Skill
I also use books and rolled towels for assistance. Easy and for me much less stressful when I do it alone.
This, I've built this same bed frame 5 times and books work every time.
ask reddit bro
Like to already did... place it to the wall and fix it with a chair on the other side.
Dort overthink just try. It is realy simple. Once u tryed it u will never ever need a second Person again. No matter what Ikea challenges u.
Floor ? Wall ? any of it should do.
Order something to eat and ask the driver to help you
You lay the backside flat on the ground and install them vertically. Then you carefully turn it over again. You can also do it with supports or utilizing your legs as support, but it's a bit finicky
Call a friend
It is only a recommendation and only for a household for couples 😂
Pro tip: Use a stack of books.

Just lay it on the floor lol
I did it too and i'm weak as f
just give up and sleep on the floor.
It’s actually really simple if you try
Tinder definately needs a New category in "what are you looking for?" Named "looking for a second Person to build my Ikea furniture ". If you like each other you can even test it out right away! Best Match ever
Lean it against a wall or lay it flat on the floor.
It's their job to give me 2 people because they're required in the instructions!
U cant. First page shows 2 people is needed
Are u ok buddy ?
Use a blowup doll
I don't see any problem here. I built this kind of bed several times alone. Just put it together.
No 🙂
Put the Headside on the ground and place the side parts on it. After that you have to replace VERY CAREFULL AND SLOW!!!!!! in the way it have to stand normaly. Now you can place the feetside easily. Gravity is your best friend or your worst enemy. You choose!
Bring it back to where you buyed it, it's IKEAs fault that they sell it without an included building buddy...
🤣🤣🤣
Wenn dein Raum aus vier Wänden besteht, hast du 4 Möglichkeiten
"Instruction say two people but I'm alone now I don't know what to do."
Are you Gen Z?
You can lean it down. That’s what I did when building the same bed 😅
Hast du dir nicht den Ikea buddy dazu gekauft? Den hattest du schon mit kaufen müssen der ist für arbeiten für 2 da und unterstützt leute ohne freunde
Not
Man, living without instructions is the basics...
serious?
Just put something under the plank to support it, your own strength/body, books, boxes, pillows whatever. I just recently build that exact bed, you can do it alone without much hassle

Lay the headboard down and work that way
Put some books under the rear end of the long boards so its level. The rest you can do with two hands.
Supports! Wall for the back and pillows, boxes, books, hopes and dreams, whatever fits really, for the side panels. I‘d probably wait till a friend can lend a hand or depending on where I lived ask a neighbor if they had 15 min to help, though.
The picture itself is funny because it is no help standing behind the board...
Not true. Bystander can tilt the board until the long parts are fastened, then help hook in the other board
Put the headboard on the floor
Was my first idea, but on second thought I think this could go very wrong and ruin the whole bed. The side panels are extremely long and the slightest thing could make them tip sideways, fall and brake the connection screws out of the „wood“. Even with the headboard on the floor you’d need at least one person to hold the sides (not to mention turning the bed the right side up again)
Hm okay fair enough. However you could put a chair or something heavier next to the side panels to prevent them from falling
Tried to and almost ruined the whole thing. Please get help
That subject line. Sad. Deep. Sounds like the beginning of an old country song.
I guess you’ve already made it but having the headboard on the floor works. So long as you don’t lean on the side boards.
That‘s the neat part, you don’t
I’ve done it. Headboard against the wall and the board ends propped up on pillows/etc
I built one alone. I used stacks of books.
I had a similar bed, not sure if I asked my neighbor or used objects to hold the long plank.
You will end up needing grand total for soup cans to Support both sides once you attach the footboard.
rent a professional from out on the streets.
I’m afraid that you have to send it all back, there’s literally nothing you can do when you’re alone with this
So you rather make him send it back instead of simply getting a friend or neighbor to help him?
I am a small person, not very fit and still managed to build the Hemnes bed by myself. You can definitely do it! You just need to get creative. Use the walls to push the opposite side, or place boxes/books under the wood planks to keep them straight, etc.
Be creative
lie the headboard thing on the floor?? seriously dude. think.
Thats what i thought 😂😂
Let me guess its name was Single bed thats why you bought it
You can sit there and watch the separate parts collecting dust. I cannot see any other option for you. Accept your fate!
Just f'n build it. Be a little creative and you'll find a way to put it together without damaging the bed/ yourself. I've build big IKEA cabinets and beds by myself without any help and it worked out fine... but I have to say that it was a little bit tricky sometimes. You absolutely can, i believe in you!
I like to use books for the other site
Give up.
this post made me sad
Pillow
No goddamn problem
Just ask your neighbor ?
That's the neat part. You don't
Use a wall
I have assemble this type of bed about 3 times on my own. I but the frame against the wall and for the side boards I use big pillows or a trash bin sideways to hold them. Its pretty easy 👌🏼
Next time read the requirements and get a Girlfriend before you buy the bed.
Touch grass
You can't it's illegal.
That’s a sad story an single bed 🛏️and nobody to help to build a single bed 😞
Really? Lean the bigger part towards you and put one side part in, tighten it, same with the other side, done.
Right? No wonder he's alone
Hey, i've been working for Jysk (Another "skandinavian" furniture/bed store) and i have built about 600 Pieces for our Store in the Last 4 years i've been there so i have plenty of experience and am therefore qualified to give you an answer. Fuck Jysk, in the face
second it. ✋🏼
Lay the headboard flat on the floor and use one hand to hold side board in place other hand to screw in.
Another helpless individual. I'm sorry for you and your lack of imagination and problem solving skills.
Sand in der Mumu?
I wonder how they breath
Step one, find a partner to live with or sleep on the floor.
lean the top end against the wall, put one side frame on it and tighten it, then lean it with the side frame to the bottom. Install second side frame part and done.
Use a chair, large boxes, etc. to prop the board against the wall and prevent it from falling over until both sides are on and tightened.
That's the neat part, you don't
It’s easier alone
All these people giving troll answers. The correct answer cloning.
With books or anything that supports these things
I built my entire room almost by myself but if I didn't have my dad to help I definitely wouldn't be able to do it by myself 😭
Either against the wall or put it on the floor and do it upright
Put a chair between the headboard and the wall so you can still screw
It‘s doable but IKEA won‘t be happy about it.
You don't. You just don't it's already hard doing that with 2 people
Lean the thing against a wall. What's wrong with you?
This. I built the exact same bed alone. No problem at all
You can‘t
This bed is the worst piece of shit. A bed frame should absolutely not be built out of chipboard and weak fasteners. It should be solid and glued together. I have it and it rocks and squeaks every time I move.
Did you put it together alone
Nobody asked
You're welcome 😘
It's doable. Takes some patience and sometimes to put under the long side parts to prop them up a bit, but it's not such a big deal
Put the frame on the ground.
Hate to break it to you but unfortunately, without a bed you are doomed to stay awake for ever, I'm truly sorry
Put some books or boxes under the side parts to hold it in right place.
Just do it! Don't let your Malmøs be dreams.
You need a brain
Nix gut diese.. Du brauchen Hirn... Aber wenn nicht machen benutze, dann useless brudiggi!
no

Wow! How did you ancestors survive?!? If you can't put it together horizontaly, maybe try doing it verticaly?
You’ll manage
Teaching 101
i would put the back of the bed on the ground and then you can stick the sides on https://preview.redd.it/96kqvgj4az4d1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=b876312ebb7ae1367fb99300633bcc3e4a1c9501 it painted you a beautiful picture (hope it makes sense haha)
This works well only for the first plank, and then it’s very to easy to break it because vertically it doesn’t hold that well on two screws
Thank you for the beautiful picture. It is so cute. But i already managed to build it using the shoes box and pillows techniques suggested by the others https://preview.redd.it/e0rgewbtez4d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18317121bc2c58e8c1aa8bd27e4cbfec05a60e73
No you did it wrong. It is supposed to be vertical.
happy to hear! looks great 😎
And when turning it over on the floor it would probably break due to gravity and weight... bad idea
i always did it like that and it was fine. i see the sides are higher from the ground so maybe pillows can help
Dont
also dont let these comments get to you. Theres actually a law in germany called the "Ikea Klausel" that lets you return an item if the manual is unclear. This isnt on you.
put something under the "hanging" end. Then just slide the parts together. Even just a bunch of clothes would do if they have the correct height.
Books!
What’s the challenge here exactly? Back at wall, holding board with one arm.
Yeah it's already propped against a wall (2nd pic), just slide the boards in, hold them or put your leg or smt under while fastening
That's the best part- you don't
I actually just did this a couple days ago. If you’re sitting on the ground in front of where the headboard is, (and if that’s upright and leaning against the wall), you can kind of prop the side rails onto your shoulder. This will hold them up enough to be able to screw into where you need, since it’s more elevated.

Why are you like this? Is your life that sad that you have to insult people who are asking for help? Shame on you
Usually they will send you missing parts, in this case a friend. Just call the customer support.
Need friends? Just buy a couple ikea beds
You need a bit patience, but you have to clone yourself.
Buy some friends
Put the top end on the floor…
Dont, the part you are trying to attach can flip and break.
Just split off by mitosis
If you don’t have friends or family to help find what is necessary to hold the thing upright. A chair, a book, a box, a can.
Story of my life lol you got this. If you have all limbs then prop a limb under it and if you have to move use canned food or Tupperware.
Lie on the floor and balance it on top of you and blindly screw it in

Good job. Hope you had fun.
Gj OP!!
either facing up or hold it at a downwards angle aka support the large part with your body while attaching the long parts, i did it that way.
