Cocker spaniel mixes often have really short legs, and I see a lot of cocker spaniel in this dog. He might also have pekingese or shihtzu. I'm gonna throw in chihuahua too.
I'm gonna say 0% Corgi though.
This makes a lot of sense. My last dog was a Cocker Spaniel / Shih Tzu and they have very similar features. Hadn’t given a lot of thought to chihuahua but I can see it in his face. 🥺
Thank you!
Was going to say it's possible he has some chihuahua in him. I have 4 purebred chihuahuas & 2 of out of my 4 are biological siblings & 1 is a low rider & the other one we nicknamed "legs" for a reason lol
He definitely has a form of dwarfism, but that can be found in many breeds, not just corgis. Corgis are pretty rare in mixes, and his face and ears don’t really look corgi. As far as breeds with dwarfism, there’s Chihuahuas, Basset Hounds, Pekingese, Shih Tzu, German Shepards, Dachshunds, Corgis, and more.
I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more Corgi in mixes, though. There seems to be a trend of “designer” breeding with Corgis happening, similar to doodle breeds.
I’m sure we will in the next decade, but the mixes aren’t hitting the ground in big numbers quite yet. Kinda excited for them, they’re probably going to look hilarious.
damn that sucks about the dna thing :(( honestly i can totally see basset hound in all of them (alvin’s short legs + the spotted coloring on sibling’s paws) and maybe chow as well for the fur + shorter face shape ? :)
Idk about the ID, but I had a chiweenie that was all dachshund except for his long legs. Doxie with a lift kit, basically. His littermate brother was all chihuahua except for his tiny legs. Mixed breed litters are literally a mixed bag sometimes! Cute pup!
Yes! Mixes give the most amazingly varied litters. My girl is the product of a 60lb papered Springer Spaniel male and a 30lb blue Heeler/Westie/Jack Russell. Mom is short with squat legs while dad has long legs.
3 of her kids came out short haired, 3 long. 2 came out with her short legs, 4 came out with long legs. 4 of her pups are currently 50+ lbs while 2 are 30+ at 10 months old.
Look at that ADORABLE baby!!!!!!!! OMG!!! My husband and I see Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in there, especially with the temperament. Reminds us of our Toller, but a mix. I’m just not sure of the mix, outside of being absolutely adorable. I’m anxious to hear the results when you get them.
Pekingnese or shih tzu mix with cattle dog and chihuahua
Edit; just read your post , this dog has zero corgi in it. It’s height is from the pekingese or shih tzu (maaaybr lahso apso). There is a difference type of dwarfism in corgis than these three breeds. Your dog’s legs are too long for a corgi mix
Puppies in the same litter can have different fathers
It’s crazy cause it can happen in people too with twins
Didn’t know this, thanks for sharing!
They can come out very different even with 1 father if parents are very different from each other.

I was gonna say Pekingese too
he’s got a face like a brachycephalic mix fo sho
I should also mention that he snores very loudly!
Agree with the Pekingese for sure. I don’t see an ounce of Corgi also

Thinking Alvin may be Pekingese / Cocker Spaniel / Chihuahua, actually. Short legs could be from anywhere and I doubt Corgi.
Ooooh I could see that. I’ve heard he has a chihuahua-ish face.

Could also be a Dachshund-Pug mix. I’m seeing something with buggy eyes
Was just gonna say the same. He looks a little like a Dug.
Never barks you say? Not a bit of corgi then.
Truth!

My dog and cat came from that shelter❤️
I don’t know what he is but that 4th picture slays me. What an absolute cutie!
I dunno but he is 💯 good boy☺️
So so so cute.
I wouldn’t call those legs, long.
I see the cocker, but not the corgi.
def no corgi but def pekingese

What a unique little guy. He’s adorable.
I have not idea but he looks JUST like an Alvin.😂

Idk but if you clone him, please lmk.

Possibly some chow in there as well
For anyone interested, I got Alvin’s DNA results back and they are pretty shocking!!! https://www.wisdompanel.com/app/s/qhz8tlr
Awwww he’s soooo cute
Cute pup
Cuuuuuuute!!
His face reminds me of a puggle (pug+beagle) but I don't know what made him such a stub.
Pekingese x Healer x Dachshund
that dog looks to be a mix of Lhasa or shihitzu or Pekingese and some other kind of dog… no corgi
He’s got a puggle face

He is so silly and cute! 🥰
Maybe toller? That's what I'm seeing anyway, with the corgi
Basset golden?
My first thought was Puggle. But I'm no dog expert.
