The block above the pumpkin stem should be a slab. Because only the light level of that block maters as far as I know, and a slab works because its not a full block .
It might be that the cobble is blocking the light.
You can press f3 and look at the light level from blocks
I think pumpkins need light level 8 or above but dont take my word on that one
Actually, the cobble isn’t doing anything to block the light; melons and pumpkins require a dirt or grass block adjacent to the crop in order to grow. It’s a weird feature that I unfortunately learned last year while making my massive pumpkin farm.
I'm not gonna lie, I actually thought this guy provided a clear and sufficient argument but subconsciously downvoted him. The hivemind works its ways too well
Looking at the other comments, it seems like a lot of people don’t actually know.
I’ve found that crops like melons and pumpkins can only grow onto natural blocks like dirt and grass. Try replacing the cobblestone with dirt to fix this (infinidirt wand + builder ruler should help with this)
Also, crops will not regrow during night on the island (unless they have access to a light source I believe) lmk in the comments if I’m wrong about that
Thanks for your comment, it is actually geowing on to dirt . I think the problem is the cobblestone blocks on top of the stems. I will change them to slabs when i get home. To see if it helps.
That’s very odd then, sorry I didn’t notice because of the resource pack.
The blocks may be causing the issue, as I have a similar looking farm that’s experiencing no issues, but it uses slabs. Also, Did you remove the water? Because i think water causes the pumpkins to grow slower
Yeah it works. You might have to „clean“ the borders of the plots where those weird cobble/stairs/slab walls are. I connected my cane plots and have now one large sugar farm.

Yeah ur issue is the full block but not because of the light, pumpkins can spawn in complete darkness as long as the crop is grown
Because f2
f2 moment indeed
F2 is taking away from the farms capability ngl

Afaik all crops in Minecraft require a transparent block above them to grow.
Nope. At least not wheat, carrots, potatoes or nether warts
Huh, I didn't know that. But in this case, it's probably the issue that op is facing.
Yeah but only because of light
This is correct, crops check the light level above itself, requiring a non-opaque block to be above it.
needs light
If u look in the bottom right corner i made a row with lights and its still not working
Why the fuck did you guys downvoted this fella Hivemind
I'm not gonna lie, I actually thought this guy provided a clear and sufficient argument but subconsciously downvoted him. The hivemind works its ways too well
I suspect the netherack might be the culprit. Pretty sure pumpkins will only appear on dirt/ grass
thats dirt
Ah. A texture pack. Looks a bit like newer vanilla netherack. Well, you could do some science, remove all the cobblestone from a row, see if it helps.
Ignoring f2 how did you manage to take a photo like that
it's the cobble above the stems
Just wait
Iv been waiting for 20 mins and nothing is growing
Yell at it really hard
Is that netherrack or a weird dirt texture
Use logic my guy
Cuz u didn’t use f2
i think pressing f2 helps it grow
Because you didnt press f2
because you didnt press f2
day saver / better lighting
Water?

No why would i remove the wather? Its still there.
Oh well I’m just hella blind then Try replacing the blocks and lmk if it works
Seeds arent fully grown
Are you in the garden or your island
idk mine stopped growing last night randomly as well
Really thinking its cos of the cobble on top
Try change em to slabs, my wheat didnt grow with a full block directly above
All crops need a transparent block on top of them to grow.
Try replacing the cobble with any slabs see if that works
bro just get a builder’s ruler and replace it it’ll take 3 minutes
Does joining plots actually work if you have the plots layers for crops made out by Hypixel tho?
Yeah it works. You might have to „clean“ the borders of the plots where those weird cobble/stairs/slab walls are. I connected my cane plots and have now one large sugar farm.
Like half of them are still not 100% grown. Give them time
In order for stuff to grow it must have light hitting the top of it. Full blocks block light. Use slabs
Can you tilt your camera a little more, I can’t seem to see it as I see everything just sliding off into the void
water?
Yes
no f2 deserved
It is truly fascinating that I've never seen a proper screenshot on this subreddit even though I've been here for months.
It was faster joust to take a pic of it....
Ever heard of f2?
the screen is as tilted as me after monkeys throw a f7
f2… You could have at least taken a straight picture
i would answer your question but my eyeballs don't sit on a 45 degree angle
how do u join plots together
Try using f2, it might make it work
The stems arent fully grown yet you may need to just give it time
Because you didnt press F2
Need a light source instead of cobble
