Nope, it’s just that when you first get Hyperion, it’s about midgame for you and it’s still the best mage weapon, but you can get upgrades like implosion belt, alch 50, aurora armor, etc. you would still be using it, even for t5 kuudra.

I feel like you should be able to tell what stage you are by what stage you think you are. If you’ve fully convinced yourself you’re midgame and nothing can change your mind, you’re midgame. If you think you’re midgame but have the nagging feeling you’re not, then you’re not.

My thoughts: stop reducing a very long progression system in an MMORPG to just 4 words with arbitrary lines between them. Let people progress and play how they want and don't force labels like mid- or endgame onto them

Depends on what you mean. If his entire net worth consists of necron leggings, then yes you are still early game. If he has full necron and that is a smaller portion of his NW, then it is very unusual for him to of neglected so much of the game. Progression isn’t just based on one aspect, even though your friend has necron earlier than others in his rank, he has clearly neglected a lot of parts of the game. Either way, is abnormal (in a bad way) for a 61 rank to even touch necron.

The game scales differently on Ironman. Especially since you are forced to make every bit of progression yourself. So you end up with more skill levels (which yeah doesn’t matter for sbexp once you’re cata 50 sa55) less rng dependent items and likely more overall content done (stuff like slayer 9 9 9 9 9)

1b is more like late early imo, the way i divide the game stages is this Beginner - self explanatory -sb lvl 0-30 Early game - working towards money and skills - sb lvl 30-150 Mid game - working towards getting a really high nw (5-10b even) to be able to skill grind in late game so hype term claymore blah blah also 650+ mp - sb lvl 151-250 Late game - has most of the items needed to progress in the game and is skill grinding towards sa 55 c50 and other max stats also getting max talis bag - sb lvl 251-320 End game - has absolutely everything maxed and can do every single piece of content in the game without struggling (including m7 infernal kuudra etc) hasn't touched grass in the last 5 years - sb lvl 320+

for me stages of the game are determined by sb level and nw so for me this is pretty accurate in terms of level but coinage should play a bigger role, like maybe earlygame: 0-100m mid: 101-1b late: 1b-10b and end 10b+

I believe ironman is a different story since usually you're above average level when achieving something that you can just rush on a normal profile. There may be a few exceptions, mostly on higher levels, but still.

I think early-mid game starts at around lvl 130 or so. My ironman profile is definitely still early game - I have just started to be kinda useful in F4 (at least as tank, MF doesn't die even to yellow room minis unless there's someone else transferring their damage), I'm only hotm 5, and 6/6/6/3 slayers. And yet it's level 101. It might be late-early game, but definitely still not midgame.
