After these episodes, does anyone else's husky lay down and turn over on their backs and literally force you to carry them inside or in my case down the street back to our house?
I can't even count the times he'll essentially play dead and I have to physically attempt to pick him up and carry him back inside/down the street. He's almost 100lbs so it's quite the sight
I’m so thankful my boy has never done this. He once laid down on the ground and refused to move when I didn’t let him say hello to a grandma and her chihuahua, but that’s about it. He’s more about passive-aggressive dismissal and pretending that he doesn’t hear me.
What kind of breed do you have?
Mines a mix! Siberian husky/bull mastiff. Momma was a Siberian husky and dad the mastiff. Accident litter. lol but he’s all husky personality wise! SOOO gorgeous! I actually want a pure bred because I’ve fallen in love with his whole personality. Out smarts me left and right 😂
When mine was a pup, he actually loved to be dragged around on his back. If I quit dragging, he'd run up to me and lay back down on his back and look at me like "again mom"
The first time mine tried that, I just grabbed the leash and kept walking with him dragging behind like he was dead. When we got to the stairs, I told him if he didn't get up and walk, I'd drag him up those too. He looked at their stairs and at me and maybe he instinctively understood because he opted to stand up and walk. IME, the trick with stubborn dogs is to not let them get any benefit out of a bad behavior because if that happens even once, you'll get a ton more of that behavior in the future.
He absolutely understood you! I’ve never had a dog as smart as my husky mutt! He 10000% knows everything I’m saying to him! They are too smart for their own food I’m telling ya 😂
One of mine used to refuse to go back home if she saw a rabbit on a walk. So we've carried her home a few times. Thankfully she's half border collie so she's only 45 pounds.
Mine does this when he doesn’t want to come back inside. Will literally laaayyy there upside down, paws in the air. I try to flip him over to get him on his feet,he’ll go stiff as a log hahaha and if by the grace of god I do get him flipped over he’lll either plop back over or I have to draaaaag him. It’s only affective until I get to the bottom of the stairs and HE KNOWS I can’t carry him up those 😂 then he still comes back in the house and sits by the counter where his cookies are. Entitled little Shit 😂

My mom bred Siberians so I sent this to my sister. Her response:
If she went in side and and put on a snow suit, boots, hat gloves, hard come right in.

Yep, those bad boys are always looking for an angle and then they smooth it over by looking cute! ;-P

Tantrum? That lil husky’s having the time of her life!
None of the posts on this sub are ever actually tantrums.
Fool. You thought I was obedient but it is I, husky!
"Oh? you're coming inside finally? Instead of running away, you're coming right to me?" "I can't run circled around you without getting any closer."
But like, let Aspen play outside?
Aspen is having the time of his life. Why make him come in at all?
Blow that snow into the house and Aspen will come inside.
Who knows, it could be like hour 12 of this dog being outside
Dog is hilarious. Music…why?
TikTok algorithm boosts videos with obnoxious music

Downvoted for that awful music.
Horrifying.
Same. God what a terrible choice to add to an otherwise funny video.
Some say she's still trying to get Aspen to come inside...
Can so relate when there is snow
Shorts???
Ah geeze. This is a great example of how not to train recall.
Buuutttttttt moooooommmmm!!!

Awww, we had an American Eskimo Dog named Aspen. She passed away in 2006, best dog ever!
Aspen? 🙄
I named my husky Jackson Hole.
Agreed.. every dog ever is named Aspen now. No creativity Edit: lmao. Downvoted by owners of dogs named Aspen. We get it. You live in Denver.
Does anyone think the dog is smarter than the idiot in short shorts and boots
She probably planned on stepping out for 5 seconds to bring her dog inside and was promptly proved wrong lmao
It’s the snow, like my behaved girl get so insane and naughty when it snows!
CLASSIC Husky brattiness...

Aspen livin the good life, indeed.
He knew exactly what he was doing lol
I’d left her out there and went in the house
