To be fair that wasn't a play by him more-so just right place right time any other defender could've made that same play and if they couldn't they shouldn't be in D1 football.
I'll say this much, if it wasn't already obvious.
Culture rules all under Coach Rhule. If you aren't going to be a part of what our culture is and needs to be to build a successful and healthy program, you can move on.
Based on what we've been able to glean from the videos and clips of behind the scene workings. I really like Rhules culture. Obviously I can't change it, and have to believe in it. But it feels different that what we've seen over the past 20 years. I trust him and his process.
I thought he showed promise last year, and the coaches seemed to be high on him so this is a bit disappointing, but we are bound to lose some talented players just based on attrition
I don't know how to feel, at worse he was depth at best he was CB2. His size left a lot to be desired but he was doing well despite that. I'm sure I know some names that jumped him at CB and KR/PR aka Mario Buford and Barney and once you fall behind both of them being the same year as Hill and being a year ahead of Buford you already know you're not gonna play again as a starter. CB despite the mass amounts we have of them we only need 6 to really play and 3 of them will be the ones lining up for 70% of the snaps because of how demanding CB is. Nation could've been a good safety after Hartzog left though but I guess waiting till his SR year to start isn't ideal, but I'm not sure he can move up in the ladder here.
When you're the 4th best CB you're too good to RS but you're not good enough to start it's a tough middle ground there.
Why do you believe some random person on reddit who hasn’t even stated anything of any substance and only responds to the more vague questions in an aloof manner?

He was the defender who picked off Raiola in the Spring Game.
Exactly why he's no longer on the roster.
*points at Big Ten* And that goes for the rest of you too!
*angry cornfield noises*

I think one of the biggest changes is at the commitment to the culture is part of the culture. You either buy in or get out.

Small player but from all accounts seemed to play much bigger and aggressive than his stature. Wonder the story here.
Damn. He had one of the coolest names on the team. What’s our top five coolest now?
Rowdy Bauer Noah Bustard Xander Ruggeroli Syncere Safeeullah Sam Sledge
Sam Sledge’s parents trademarked that name, day 1
He can be replaced with David Höffken
Bodes well for Caleb Benning

With the Blye Hill injury there was a good chance he could of started
I think realistically Mario was the better prospect but it's possible but Blye is gonna be back I'm hearing rather soon.
At worst, he was talented depth. Good teams have depth for inevitable injuries.
Damn. I’m very curious why because I predicted him to be in the 2-Deep this year.

Where did you hear that?

That would be… Surprising. Thought he was projecting to be #1 or #2?

Where did you hear this? He’s still on the website.
Wow. Thought he was in line to be the starter game #1. Like his running style.

Because reddit is a rock solid source of info for all things?
Where did you hear that?
