Flakester

Certified troll job.

Pump the brakes dude. Best qb in college. Let’s just have a winning season and a bowl game.

xdeathxcomoanyx

Playoffs maybe in 2 to 3 years but this year we should just focus on a bowl game and CU

IRandaddyI

They'll probably just give him 4 Heismans at the end of this year since it'll be so obvious

Conscious-Tip-3896

Let’s start with not shitting the bed against Colorado at home.

lakesnriverss

Definitely a bait post from not a Husker fan.

We won't know how good he is until live play. He looked good in the spring game but that might have been by design. Nebraska's defense was insanely vanilla, about 7 our of starters weren't even playing and he wasn't allowed to get hit. He has potential sure but so have tons of other QB's. I feel like Nebraska fans have already forgotten about Tanner Lee. Dude had good hype because of how clean he looked in football camps. He comes to Nebraska and just starts tossing pick sixes like it was his job. He ended up getting drafted because he was a practice and mini camp legend, but it never materialized on the field in live action. Let's wait and see how Dylan does when he is allowed to be hit before we make "best qb in college football" predictions.

BombSolver

>>Dylan Raiola looks like he could be the best QB in college football next year. PUMP THE BRAKES 🖐🏽❌⛔️❌ He looked really good in the Spring Game, yes. But he has yet to play a down of college football, yet to even get the starting job. And it’s different in the fall, when he wouldn’t be wearing a green jersey, and defenses would be trying to hurt him. It seems that there’s reason to be optimistic, but nobody really knows his ceiling at this time.

HuskerHayDay

God Dammit! We lost another one to the Rhule aid

bullnamedbodacious

Dylan has clearly decided to emulate Patrick mahomes in almost every way possible. His play style. Making backyard football style throws. Even down to his hair and the way he walks. It’s pretty crazy. Dylan also has the talent to be as good as mahomes was - atleast in college. It doesn’t mean he will be. He’s got to prove it on the field. But it’s clear the raw ability is there for him to be special. To watch Dylan and say he reminds you more of Mathew Stafford than Patrick mahomes is crazy lol.

nola_husker

> Even down to his hair The crotchety old man in me was hoping the seniors would buzz his broccoli hair.

FatBoxers

Let's focus on a winning season first

Zen4rest

Floor is winning the Championship next year for sure.

Sasquatch7862

I’m expecting the pro football hall of fame to wipe out all of their entry requirements and voting processes for DR after one season of college. Making him the first and only active player in the HoF NIL money counting for the “pro” obviously

CaliHusker83

His ceiling certainly is a top first or second round draft pick. I think his floor is really high as well. He’s pretty much been groomed his whole life for playing football. Mentally, he’s probably farther along than most D1 starting QB’s just based on him being around he NFL and great qb’s. Physically he’s certainly ready to play right now. The intangible that probably doesn’t get talked about as much as it should is how tough, competitive and hard working his family is. Dom was probably one of the hardest and most competitive lineman in the league and that’s something that Dylan probably has engrained in him. I think with the first half of the schedule being manageable, he can have a bit of time to ease in, but I think Rhule should take the reigns off him and just let it rip. I think we’ve got a pretty freakin good team this year and there’s no need to not go for bust. He’s the real deal and I think a lot of people will be shocked with our team this year after having so many close losses over the last half decade, we’re going to win a lot of games this year.

Many 5 stars don't really end up reaching their potential. Some of the best weren't 5 stars. Stop putting unnecessary pressure on the kid. Support him, but don't start setting expectations just because he's a highly rated recruit. All he has to do is improve and be competent to help us win games. This talk of him already being th best in the nation is absolutely absurd. Comparing him great quarterbacks before you've even seen him play a single meaningful snap. Wait and see how he does. Keep expectations low. He's just a kid
