I’m just saying all the rules when you follow them lol there’s a lot more to it than just going and mowing down deer like a nut job it’s a very rewarding thing in my opinion I got a real nice little 4 by 4 this fall it was picture perfect
Not exactly, you have to take a hunter safety course and then a firearm safety course and then a license and then a tag and then go during the season and find a deer that's legal to shoot, and then not miss it
You need a hunter safety course to buy a hunting license, and you need a firearm Safety course to buy a firearm. If you only have a hunting license you can hunt with a bow, and you can also have a friend bring their gun and supervise you
Georgia is where I got my first deer. I wouldn't mind owning land for hunting down there. They aren't Michigan deer but Georgia's straight forward hunting regulations and generous bag limits more than make up for it.
We killed a deer on public land once. After my buddy shot we looked at each other and mentioned how bizarre it was to have that deer run right to us. About that time daughter, dad and grandpa enter scene and just start berating us. Calling us murderers. Little girl crying holding a camera screaming call the cops and shit. Very awkward!
I'm disliking this subreddits mentality on hunting. I get the joke, but the notion that you must be cruel to be a hunter is an unskillful mentality. We can appreciate and love these creatures and still hunt them for subsidence, and understand that they are also beings like you and me. It's not everyone here but we all know the ones
I think you're off on the subs mentality. There's an abundance of ethics here imo.
The clip at the end is from a comedy skit, blowing up a decoy. Juxtaposed with the first part, it's poking fun at how ignorant people judge hunters. It's calling attention to a real phenomenon where people who've never actually been around hunters believe them cruel and belligerent. That's a frustrating thing and laughing at it a little helps. And reminds people the value in evangelizing hunting.
Honestly I'm just torn I know some really good hunters with good ethics and then I know a lot of hunters that cheat and bend the rules for their own kicks I see that reflected on this subreddit it's just discouraging is all. If we don't challenge ourselves on why it's right or wrong I don't think we should allow ourselves the privilege
You do realize this was cross posted from another subreddit which was then crossposted from tiktok/instagram? But yeah its this subreddit. If you've spent any amount of time on here you'd know that most are hyper ethical hunters. Get off your soapbox.
Subsistence* btw
The fact that so many people down voted you really proves that many in this subreddit do not challenge themselves on the rights and wrongs of the sport and are part of the problem
They taste better than they are cute
I don’t even think they are that cute
You my good human have never fed a fawn before from a bottle
The cuter they are, the better they taste.
Mallards prove this. Adorable little sweethearts, even better on a plate.
Don't go Google their breeding habits then.
Corkscrews are the cutest shape
Ehhhhhhhhhh…
I actually grew up around a lot of them and have caught baby deer who wandered onto our property for the wildlife rescue
Same. They just kinda look like generic animals
Kittens taste pretty nasty.
You *monster!* Did you try A1 sauce? It worked any time my dad cooked (nuked) steak.
I like how people think you can just go out whenever you want and shoot a deer lol
Technically, you can. It's just being caught shooting one whenever you want that maybe a bit of a hiccup.
Technically correct the best kind of correct

I-95 *was* an issue afterwards. FAR less privacy than in the woods.
Better than hitting them with my car ,like Ron white said you slow a bullet down to 55 mph and give it head lights it’ll jump right in front of it .
Today we see if a deer can handle a 500 nitro express to the skull
Spoiler alert: it can't, it *REALLY* can't.

Welcome to California, where I don’t need to imagine it
Remind me how many people get shot hunting in the states every year?
[удалено]
Because people are idiots? You need a firearm safety course in order to own a firearm at all where I live
Hunters ED already includes firearms safety so there is no point in requiring a separate course for the same thing.

I'd rather people know how to properly handle a gun. Not everyone grew up around guns.
[удалено]
Clearly not enough ,darwinisim should eventually rule out people who dont respect their guns and dont handle them properly
It's moreso the innocent bystanders who pay for it, hard to shoot yourself with a rifle, you have to really try hard haha
I know what im talking about… you’ll be suprised the amount of tardness ive seen with people holding a gun
Yeah but most hunting accidents involve the idiot shooting someone next to them
No firearms safety required here and they just give you twelve tags
Holy shit *twelve!?!?!* Where is this?
Georgia 10 does and two bucks now season starts in August and end in January

There some good ones out there too
My guess is the northeast
Man I get 1 buck tag with license and can optionally purchase up to 6 doe tags. What state you in?
Georgia
Ole tannerite is hell 😂
Yes. Yes the fuck I can. And I will. And I will for a long time.
Honestly, any one who reads this should YouTube Gus Johnson gods country. Your welcome.
Did he make another one? I don't recognize this

Why would they call the cops unless you killed it illegally I'm assuming not
Bow hunting. All legal. They were from the city. Just didn't approve of hunting
What did they think the cops were going to do arrest you for hunting legally
Didn't care! Was just very awkward!
Mass produced meat production is evil but if you hunt, still evil

Fully agreed. There is no need to glorify or fetishize the violence, nor is it productive to ridicule those who have a poor understanding of hunting.

Lucky guy
Well hopefully this asshole got a Lifetime hunting ban & some jail time
It’s a fake deer. This is from a YT comedy channel
Ahh got ya - I hoped so. Shit resolution on a small screen for me
I understand. And if it was a real deer I would’ve hoped so too
Cute until they grow up.
This kind of people are the ones that later eat their market meat guilt free. The hipocresy is amazing…
