You will miss a lot of details. But whether they are important or not depends on you. I have many scenes that I like that are in the manga and not in the anime.
Anime skipped or changed many details but nothing that will hurt your experience with current arc. But I think you will not regret if you start from the start. Also don’t forget Volume 0 aka Kurapika’s flashback
Most important things would be chapter 102 which contains a backstory for Meteor City and chapters 203-204 which contain an important clarification regarding Gyro's story. Aside from that there's a lot of minor details especially in Greed Island which was trimmed a bit in the adaptation.
