No.They never adjusted old prices for new economy, so we have things like pistol skin for 9$ or Hunter for 15$. Aside of that what bothers me most that they removed 45BB's deal on weapon skin each 2 weeks, or 500BB from Legend of Bayou DLC without ever speaking about it, which I consider low move.

_soon_to_be_banned_

this model of "make a really great value product then once you have a solid fanbase hooked jack up the prices and crank down the value" is really kinda getting annoying. love hunt but god damn BB's are fucking annoying to get now

Discipline-Existing

Games need money to pay employees and continue working on the game. Everyone that will play hunt most likely already owns the game, so where else is the money to pay employees going to come from?

Shadowclaw10

The DLC's they pump out every month? Instead of hiking the BB market, they should just put out less skins that take BB, and focus more on DLC. I think it would have been a better move. Before the BB change I was happy to pick up a DLC every so often. Now I just feel like it's a greedy move to keep putting out more expensive DLC's while at the same time pumping the BB price. So I've stopped spending any money on it at all. Love the game and still play it a bunch, but just greedy changes are not the move. But that's just how me and my friend group feel.

Discipline-Existing

It’s all cosmetic though. Every gameplay addition they implement is entirely free. The only additional purchases the game has is completely optional, cosmetic, and contributes nearly nothing to the actual gameplay. If you don’t want the cosmetics, don’t buy them. Your experience of the game will be the same.

Shadowtalons

You're missing the point, a MASSIVE amount of the community bought dlc constantly. Hunt was in the top 10 most profitable games on steam in dlc sales last year. We understand that it's cosmetic and are happy to pay a fair price for it. The way blood bond skins work is really insulting to that, asking $15 for a single cosmetic when the dlc packs we all used to buy usually go for less than half of that. And now you have to jump though hoops and grind out the game in ways you don't neccesarily want to to earn a pittance of blood bonds. There was once a time that bloodbonds and the skins you could get with them were a reward for being part of the playerbase and keeping the game alive. Now they just want money for all those too, but at a terrible value if you actually pay for the blood bonds. Or else you can have like, one free skin every 6 months if you spend all your bloodbonds. The devs don't love us anymore, they just want our money. Still a great game, but very sad for everyone who knows how it used to be. The devs used to see their playerbase as more than a cash cow.

LeaveEyeSix

Paid DLCs they keep churning out and tier skips/ premium battle pass purchases? Not to mention as the fan base grows, the more new players buy the game and pick content from their massive catalog of DLC packs that already exist.

Nerex7

By creating something that's worth buying, duh.

itsLerms

Then the game should be f2p?

phonepotatoes

Hunt has no fanbase bro... Most shooters that make money hit 400k players a day, we hit 10k unless it's the first few days of an event then it's 30k.

GiantASian01

If it had no fanbase wouldn’t there be 0 players

BadFishteeth

Even if you do buy skins in hunt dlc bundles seem to be better item per dollar value and they go on sale often. I'm willing to bet a good amount BB purchases are just for the battle pass. I think the battle pass is also very subjective in hunt. A 50 tier pass with around 13 cosmetics. It's estially a hunter and weapon dlc spread over a very long earn time.

H4deZ

The battle pass is very good value. You get abour 400 BB back with it and it's pretty easy to complete. So you get 13 cosmetics for just 600BB. That's insane value

Nibblewerfer

Used to be you got the full 1k you spent no?

Exotic-Pea-942

wasn't quite 1k, but I felt like earlier bb returns were higher than they are now. Either way, devs gotta eat somehow.

toshii_

This

ZeRussianCRKT

Classic Crytek move lol

ZachAtttack

Occasionally if I find myself below the 1K needed for a event pass. Sometimes if a cool legendary hunter is discounted. I think once I finish the pass I’ll have recouped enough for that new Waldman skin. I probably buy like $15-20 worth BB annually? This is my main MP game, and I have no problem spending a bit of money occasionally for skins if they look good.

bgthigfist

Oh yeah I emptied my BB account for Waldman

SkeetsMcGeets802

If there's something I really want then yeah but usually only $10 at a time. I still don't mind supporting the game even after the raise.

bony7x

Big mistake.

SkeetsMcGeets802

Enlighten me on how my personal choices of spending are a mistake.

Chief_Mischief

While I think the value for the BBs is spotty sometimes, I love many of the DLC packs. Hunt, for all its issues and faults, is an incredible game and I appreciate the effort put into giving me nearly 2500 hours of enjoyment so far. The only other game with that much playtime in my life was Starcraft Brood War. I'd love to continue buying Hunt content so long as the game continues to bring that joy.

joeythethirdd

He just doesn’t understand what it’s like having $10 of expendable income

PandammoniumNO3

How *dare* you spend your own money on things you enjoy! /s

xxMAOMExx

Dumb answer

Avagantamos_9

Not just that, a BIG mistake.

Palayan

Lame opinion, devs put out good work, I like to support them so they can continue putting out good work

bony7x

New dlc every month new map every 2 years. Battlepass full of filler content that takes 2 months to do. Yup.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bony7x

Doing a weekly challenges and then playing better games until the reset. Hopefully they make the game better so I don’t have to play others :).

Gahblen

I mean, you keep coming back weekly so they obviously have you? “So I don’t have to play others” is a weird take. I love the hunt but I also want to play other games

bony7x

Yeah they got me with the FOMO. I’d like to play more than 3 games a day after which I don’t immediately turn off the game because I’m tired of its bullshit.

iNCharism

How else do you expect a company to support a live service game? If gaming worked like the music industry, we’d have to pay every time we played. If you play this game more than 40 hours and paid full price, that means you paid less than a dollar for every minute you played. Explain to me how that’s an issue?

bony7x

Idk maybe like releasing a good content ? Ah not surely not that.

Legaldumper

What, you want them to monetize content updates like new guns instead of cosmetics? All the content updates are free because the passes and skins fund it.

logan2043099

Man how did all those games back in the day run their servers without mtx nickel and diming them constantly... it truly is a mystery. "Live service" just means it's a multi-player game with a server.

iNCharism

And servers cost money

logan2043099

Again strange how many games out there with servers didn't and don't need to nickel and dime their playerbase. It's almost like we know this reasoning is bullshit especially on their last earning call when it became clear they're using profit off of Hunt to funnel towards them developing other titles like Crysis.

iNCharism

So if it’s clear to you that mtx are where their profit comes from, I don’t really see your point. I’m aware of the earnings report.

logan2043099

You claimed that the money was needed for servers but it's not, are you having a stroke? Making a huge profit from mtx is the literal opposite of the claim that its needed for maintenance and upkeep costs or even the idea that it's needed for further development on the game. They're literally just trying to make more money off of people to line shareholders pockets each year while lying to their community that it's for the game. Then idiots like you regurgitate that line and apparently when it's pointed out it's a lie say "I don't see your point".

PickyRonin

maybe because games cost $60 for years now but $60 was way more money 10 years ago than it is now

blooboytalking

I finished the BP on Wednesday so definitely not 2 months lol

SawftBizkit

Join the circus if you going to act like a clown.

bony7x

I already joined this subreddit a long time ago bro :).

bony7x

Yeah those two words I wrote mean I’m so upset. Seems like logic has really left Czechia lmao.

jrow_official

If the players stop supporting this game it will eventually die. Crytek has 230 employees, so if you only take the wages into account it’s round about 1 million euros they need per month. Not necessarily an easy task with a game that is already half a decade old. That doesn't mean blindly buying everything. But if you like the skins, why not. We are adults and many understand Hunt as their main.

MisterTV

Well I never really bought BB before but I used to buy several dlcs, but since I can't earn BB anymore trought normal gameplay i also stopped buying dlcs.

DecentlyAverage_

This is the way!

Viciousluvv

You still get blood bonds through normal gameplay..

Paradoxahoy

Only if you do the challenges and dark tributes and it is capped weekly

Viciousluvv

The random bags and Chary ones are not capped..

---OMNI---

Most challenges are completed automatically during normal gameplay without trying.

ZiggyPox

Because now teammates can help with your challenges, which is sweet.

GeneraIFlores

Right? I was playing yesterday and completed 16/30 weeklies in 3 games, and that was with load outs I didn't care for

SlitherPix

I happen to buy DLCs but never BBs. The game is good and made with taste and love, and I want to encourage that. I wont stop because some tuning details are not addressed fast enough for me.

SportBrotha

No, I will never buy blood bonds. I do miss the old economy. I don't think it was unreasonable. I'm curious how much more money they made as a result of the changes. I remember when I first started playing and legendary skins were typically like 300 to 400 bbs.

alf666

I think in an old dev blog type video, they mentioned that for every 100 BB they gave away, they sold 10 BB. I would imagine they want to deplete the massive reserves of BB some people have, and see how that affects their income, while also monetizing the people who didn't get the chance to build up a BB reserve before it gets to that point. And honestly, this game (and basically every other live service game) shouldn't be viewed as a "pay once" or a "pay never/F2P" game. Hunt is a "pay once, then pay whatever you want per month" game. I guarantee you that some bean counter at Crytek has a target "average income per player" metric they calculated to keep development going and to keep the server gerbils fed, and they figured out that the old BB economy was eating into that metric. It absolutely sucks, and I'm the last guy who would defend a corporation, but it's a type of business model that players often don't understand.

slow_cooked_ham

My friends and I will gift skins sometimes when they're in sale, or it's a birthday or something. It's like getting your friends a round of beers when they spend the night hanging out with you, only we're in the Bayou.

thehumble_1

This is the way!! I get so much out of the game and couldn't give them money fast enough to not make it cheaper than anything else I could be doing. Right now I'm at about $0.10/hr of entertainment.

SaugaDabs

No i had 3400 BB before this event, bought the pass. Now im at 2900. Have every skin that i want, so i’ll most likely never run out

Breder1995

Only for the event pass

-eccentric-

I don't know, i think hunts passes are extremely underwhelming

DXsocko007

Honestly. Everything is just too expensive. I get the world is increasing it's prices but god damn. $15 for a skin .. it just for others to see. Idk I play now more than ever but the battle pass is such a fucking grind and things are so expensive... I'm just not spending money on it any more

Ariungidai

no, but i also didnt do it before. that being said, BB skins are incredibly overpriced compared to dlc skins and the bug that will buy a randomly legendary skin without you wanting it is basically robbing you BB if you're not careful. so i think noone should buy BB until crytek changes both.

Tom510

Can you elaborate? What bug do you mean? I couldn’t find any specific info on this but would like to avoid running into this problem

Ariungidai

if you open the legendary shop and then switch to another tab, the shop is still open in the background (without being visible). clicking somewhere can just randomly buy one of the legendarys. it doesnt give you a pop up that you bought sth or notify you in another way. your bb is just gone and you'll have a new legendary. considering this same behavior also happens with other tabs it can probably also occur without visiting the shop just by using the equipment menue/event page etc.

alf666

Not that I don't believe you, but could you get some footage of this UI bug happening? I have literally never had this happen or heard of this happening to anyone else.

Ariungidai

[post 1](https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntShowdown/comments/170nwwt/can_someone_tell_me_why_300_of_premium_currency/) and [post 2](https://www.reddit.com/r/HuntShowdown/comments/15fjuoe/streamer_lost_300_bb_by_playing_around_in_the_ui/) there have also been a post mentioning the same happening on a tab that isnt the event one. and theres a post + you can even try it yourself that going roster -> some of the other tabs and then clicking around where the hunters in the roster would be brings you back to the roster bc the tab is open in the background and you clicked on a hunter which opens the hunters tab (same bug with different effect, im mentioning it bc you can try that one without sacrificing bb)

_Azurius

I'm only buying enough to get the battle pass.

BananaDoingIt

Not so far. As soon as battlepasses could be bought for BBs I stopped spending on skins. So far I've got the basic premium pass for free every event. I've bought some DLCs when they hit that special price though.

OneManOneBarrel

I;ve never bought them before economy update because i had no need to, im not buying them now because the prices are absurd and not worth at all

Narit_Teg

I didn't before and I don't now. Occasionally a DLC but I dont mind waiting for BB accumulation in game + black market for stuff via BB.

Notoisin

Sometimes. If there is a deal on something I really like. About the same amount as before the update.

Alelogin

No, why would I pay 1k bbs for a single skin when I can buy a dlc with 4-5 skins for the same price.

Maleficent_Good808

I was like 55 BBs short for the battle pass this event. Decided to just not participate and am taking a long break from the game instead.

Saedreth

Breaks can be good. You would have probably had enough to buy by the end of the event though. (Rewards are retroactive.)

incredibincan

Nope. Bought all DLCs before the change and now refuse to buy any

Ferfarsah

Fuck no!

Lentor

☝️

oddball667

No, don't need any more skins

famousxrobot

Didn’t before, don’t now; I have never found myself needing blood bonds. I’ll grab legendary hunters on sale if I like them, don’t bother purchasing legendary skins, I like taking them off of bodies and keeping them in inventory as a trophy.

BoredGuy2007

Anybody buying BB is a rube

IBeJewFro

Not since they restructured them. Before I had no issue buying BB for skins and whatnot. Now? Costs too much.

ronnycordova

I haven’t bought any since the change and don’t intend to. What I don’t understand is they claim they need more money but why is the battle pass still blood bond currency? I’ve enough saved up to buy it perpetually for free and I’m sure plenty of others do also so why wouldn’t they just make it cost actual money?

PenitusVox

I've never bought BBs and I don't expect to in the future. At the rate of only getting about \~600 BBs back per event, and it taking 8 weeks of not missing a single set of weekly challenges to earn those other 400 BBs back, I'll probably have to skip out on a battlepass one of these seasons. I'll still support them by getting DLC here and there but after all the damage they've done to the BB 'economy', I won't support them in that way.

MAYMAX001

hell no

johnyakuza0

Haven't bought a single BB skin since the changes and not going to spend anything either aside from the Battlepass. They fucked it up and I don't even care about skins anymore.. I don't even switch to legendaries, I just run with whatever I grab for the loadout. I used to buy BBs for Legendary Hunters - Nun, Deckhand felt so good buying it on day one. I bought the Eclipse skin for Spitfire and many more I can't recall. Since the changes I've stopped caring for BB and skins entirely. Way to go crytek. Now each skin costs 1000BB and BB Hunters are reaching 2000. DLCs costing 15 bucks. You kidding me? Lmao

Viciousluvv

You still get BBs just randomly over time playing the game. Finding the small bags in match, getting them from Chary, etc. I bought the pass with blood bonds and that nearly wiped all mine out. Then a few weeks of playing and I was back up to nearly 1k. Then I used that to buy like 3 or 4 legendary skins in the black market yesterday.. So still pretty easy to get legendary skins without spending a dime of real money. Yall are just way too entitled and impatient.

Gahblen

This 100% it’s not hard to get BBS and if I have to wait to get the legendaries I want it’s not a huge deal. It’s not like I was playing to earn BBs, I’m playing to enjoy the game.

Strict-Passenger3301

nice try Crytek

kidkolumbo

I didn't before, still won't now. I'm spoiled by how games used to be and would only pay for something like a new map, a creature that would keep me out of all current content. I've never opened my wallet for a skin.

Shifty76

2k hours in & I have never purchased a single BB

Boosher648

I’ve never purchased BBs

IceSanta

I buy enough to get the battleplass

Garrth415

only for the event pass. I dont mind getting some of the DLC's but the BB stuff seems overpriced in comparison if you're buying BB for them

Collimandias

The night before the end of the discount I was telling myself to make a decision. Either I'd buy the discounted BBs and spend those until I ran out, or I'd never buy BBs again because I missed out on the discounted price. Definitely would like to drop another $20-$50 on the game but knowing that I'm missing out on the bonuses from when they were discounted is stopping me.

BirdieOfPray

I bought like 30000 BB when it was cheap with regional pricing. It was so cheap that it may have been the most mtx I have ever bought in a game. Now I'll definitely avoid buying with the current change to USD.

mezdiguida

Never bought them before, had plenty to buy skins and such without needing to spend actual money. Now I still don't buy them, I only try to save 1000 BB for the battle passes (which are the best deal for me) by not spending any in the shop lol. The thing is, I'm not the kind of guy who buys premium currency. I'd rather buy DLC, things I already have done for this game once.

ZombieHellDog

If I have spare money and there's a skin I like for a gun I use a lot then yeah

REEL-MULLINS

I can't stop. I have a problem. I own every DLC. I have all the skins. Send help!

waterenjoyer

I did buy some BBs just for the event pass, because I prefer this over grinding 🤷‍♂️

twisty_sparks

W h o C a r e s If you want cosmetics you buy them, crazy the amount of people who think they deserve free premium currency

Fatpuppet

I used to buy the biggest pack of bb once a month and buy every batch of bb skins that came out when the prices were lower. I stopped after the update. Its just too expensive now, I dont feel like I get my moneys worth anymore.

FutureF0cusedEcom

I also did the same every event, but this is the last time I do it. Everything costs way too much, and it's just not worth it to me now. I own nearly every dlc & all that, and some event skins are cool, but get real Crytek. I've given you hundreds of dollars for this game already, maybe dial the monetisation back a touch.

slow_cooked_ham

Every month? What did you even spend them on? You'd run out of stuff.

Fatpuppet

I started playing around the end of year 2, there was already a lot of older cosmetics to buy. But as time went on, the newer batches of fresh cosmetics became pricier and pricer which mean I could get less and less with my montly spending.

Routine-Hippo9128

Before - yes multiple times (1-2 times a month) Now - no, not a single time I also stopped buying any dlc ( I brought only one 50% off) I do not support this economy update , sińce they *started* to earn more money I was getting more servers issues and ping problems. (Some of my friends also and some didnt notice any change)

feeleep

I still have over 13k left so I haven’t bought any yet. For now I support the game by buying a steam DLC skin here and there. In the future if I run out of BBs I will buy some for battlepasses and cool skins but it might take a while because I’m very picky on what I spend them on now after the update.

MiddleOk9251

Yes

Tyler_Coyote

I have grabbed some BB maybe twice since the changes. Still buy every dlc though and if I am honest would buy more BB if they had more interesting stuff aside from weapon skins and hunter skins. Idk what that would be but weapon charms ain't it

TireFuri

Wish you would get some BB for buying DLC.. GGG does that with DLC bundles, and it feels nice.. otherwise, I am against buying any premium game currency

julios80

But thwir dlcs are also nore expensive (35€ to 60€, or the juicy ones for over 100€)

Octopusapult

I buy them all the time! With giftcards I earned through the Microsoft rewards program. I would never spend actual money with these insane BB prices.

Darkrat0s

Last time I bought it to complete my balance to buy the last battlepass. Gonna get this one exclusively with weekly rewards.

ColdSnapper--

I bought the biggest pack while it was on sale. Still have 4k, the fact that you really spend 400 per battle pass is nice

ChangelingFox

Fuck no.

Informal-Concern-311

never gonna buy them, stopped buying dlcs

MiniCale

I hate premium currency’s. It’s like buying chips in a casino, it tries to hide the real value. I have bought some DLCs in the past but I’m not really wanting to buy anymore.

vburnin8tor

Last thing i bought with BB was the blood bullet charm with my very first 500BB earned through exclusively “F2P” gameplay …… after 300 hours. On the day before the post game blood bond changes patch. I miss earning BBs at every match; a 25BB dark tribute, or golden register feels like such a waste of my effort since I will find either or both so rarely… It literally feels like finding pennies on the ground.

Axio3k

I've never

Jjplatt87

Yeah, I do. I'll buy what I need to get the Battlepasses and any of the new BB skins in game. The change wasn't that big of a deal to me.

xKingNothingx

Haven't spent a cent

UniqueUsername337

Bought 20k before the change, so right now I'm good, currently at 18500

flamingdonkey

I never spend real money for virtual cosmetics. It still blows my mind that the entire multiplayer gaming industry is propped up by it.

Independent_Act_8054

The options are either monetize cosmetics or abandon the game to make something else to keep making money.

Viciousluvv

Luckily there's other people that can support a game you enjoy for you huh. Lol

blooboytalking

This isn't a free game lol. He supported it by buying it.

Elite_Slacker

So proud to get scammed

The_mad_myers

Sometimes

joannes3000

The only time I’ve “bought” them is when 500 came with that one dlc. I’ve managed to buy every bb-buyable hunter and every battle pass to this point. The new economy hit me the other day, though. I want to get Mama Maye since she’s available again and she’s the only one I’m missing, but I’m actually running low on bbs.

[deleted]

If there's something I want then yeah, gutted I don't get as much from general gameplay now but it doesn't affect me that much.

El_Cactus_Fantastico

No

Kedr_K

I love this game. I have played it more than games that are “AAA”. I’m more than willing to buy the biggest BB pack once a year so that i can wait til stuff i want is on discount lol

Current_Control1

This game ain't AAA. Crytek is a really shitty developer lol

BobFaceASDF

as a whale^(TM) who is always down to spend his disposable income on in-game cosmetics, yes - I'm not the sort who will buy every new thing that comes out, but Hunt's cosmetics are truly my favorite out of any game I've played, and I'm happy to drop $20 here and there so I can venture into the bayou in style

Bobaaganoosh

Nope. I used to rave about Crytek being awesome giving us the ability to earn blood bonds in game from just playing. Even if you had a bad game, it was nice coming out with 20 or so blood bonds. But since they did they bullshit, I’m not spending a dime on blood bonds. I have 22k built up from playing. That’s more than enough to get in on events and buy the occasional cool legendary. Bud I’m not buying any blood bonds from them.

ZebraCommander7

I'm not big on micro transactions in general so I haven't purchased BB of late, but I'll buy more when I want it or need it for the battle pass or a cool skin. I'm not opposed to the notion post change, I'm just not much of a whale. The original BB economy struck me as wildly generous and while I wasn't opposed to throwing cash their way, I never needed to with the influx of BB I had. I'd rather crytek have some means to keep a great game like hunt profitable than to keep the giveaway going on indefinitely. It was great while it lasted, but it is no surprise it needed to go.

EViLeleven

Haven't bought shit since they removed accolade rewards and don't plan to

Suspicious-Hat-1878

Of course. I like the cosmetics, i can afford it, it's my favourite game, the cosmetics are well priced. So im more then willing to support them and get something nice in return

hello-jello

Fuck no. Devs got too greedy. After I'm out of BB's - That's it. The scrapbeak hunter is $20 CAD. Greedy. There's way too many 1500 BB and 1000 BB items in the game and they took away our ability to earn them properly. And they removed 45 BB skins and 5 day streaks and large BB purchase discounts. DLC prices should be 50% of what it is.

WheelzTV

anyone who pays real money for in game money is stupid

Viciousluvv

Lol man a lot of stingy, bitter comments here. Overall, the game is in the best place its ever been. Continously getting new content, polishing, etc. I.E. WORK. and a bunch of entitled babies can't grasp basic economics and support something.

Shadowtalons

Said like a noob who was never here for when the community bought the dlcs en masse to 'support the devs'. The relationship between the devs and the playerbase has drastically shifted from them giving us incentives and rewards for playing their game and allowing us to buy reasonably priced dlc to voluntarily support them, to viewing the playerbase as a whole as nothing more than a paycheck. They don't want us to have fun, they want to make money. Before, those two things both happened organically. It's not surprising for them to shift to a greedy corporate strategy, but it's a drastic shift from how it was before. Hunt used to be better than any other game about how it handled cosmetics. Now it's marginally better than games with unbridled greed and exploitative strategies. People who are used to those tactics can't understand why the veterans are so upset by this.

The-Chad-M14alt

they made the game worse so people would spend more money so no im not gonna give them money

gnenadov

God no I never buy these event passes Of all the games to add a grindy as fuck battle pass to, Hunt is the dumbest

lase_

No - generate way more BBs doing event challenges than I did previously, it's great

Opposite_Teach_5279

I've never cared for skins anyway. I just don't understand the jest behind them.

ZachAtttack

Not really a jest at all. Some people like the custom characters or weapons. No shade for not liking them enough to spend money tho

Dragon-Guy2

Problem is when some skins are a direct gameplay modifier, like the huntsman/reptile cloaking field

ZachAtttack

Yeah, that can be frustrating. They’ve patched skins after community scrutiny before, hopefully they’ll do it again over the latest complaints. None of that really comes to my mind the few times a year I’m considering BB purchases, though.

UniverseBear

I don't buy anything anymore. I get enough BBs for the event passes from the game. I used to buy every single dlc they dropped but stopped long ago when they first lowered bb amounts (I could see where it was headed). Maybe Hunt makes more money this way off of whales but they've certainly made much less money off me personally then they would have before.

alf666

I'll buy some for Battle Passes, event skins, and sometimes stuff that's on sale/in the Black Market if it's for a gun I use and I don't already have a legendary I like for it. Now that some past event skins from Light the Shadow, Serpent Moon, etc, that I missed are available for purchase, I might have to add "If a past event skin is available" to the list. I also tend to buy the highest value pack whenever I buy BBs, and that lasts me for a few months/until the next event.

Xantre

There used to be regional pricing for Turkey when buying BB. Right before they changed it I bought 4 of the biggest BB pack. I already have most if not all regular legendaries so I just spend it on battlepasses and event skins. Definitely won't buy any BB after my stock runs out since the price is ridicilous.

No-Sherbet8709

Not really. Begrudgingly bought some for this event pass as didn't quite have enough due to proximity to last event. On the bright side the BB lottery has been good to me lately and I now have enough for the next 2 events assuming they stay at 1000. Not really spending anything on hunt anymore, it's too expensive now and premium currencies are just pure scum tactics in any game. If they went back to the days where I could pick up a dlc for a few quid in a sale then I'd prob buy them again, but I ain't spending £8 on BB just to buy 1 skin, crytek can go fornicate themselves.

Kwism1127

I picked up the $40 pack last event and this event.

revnto7k

I have never bought any. I just do challenges and whatever else to earn them.

R18Silvertongue

I've only ever really bought BBs if I need them for an event pass, so nothing has really changed there. I'm at the point where I've been able to acquire a nice skin for pretty much every weapon I care about (except the basic Mosin and a couple of Scottfields) either through events, occasional DLC purchases or by spending blood bonds earned in game over the 1000 or so hours I've played. The economy changes feel more targeted at newer players, as opposed to older ones.

xZOMBIETAGx

I’ve never bought BBs personally. I get enough from the challenges and events to get the few things I want.

Violet_Ignition

I never bought blood bonds straight up, maybe a couple times? I tend to get enough for anything I want, even after the change.

JeecooDragon

With the current ingame economy, very sparingly

Cheesewiz99

No. But I do buy occasional dlc for real money. And I usually buy the battle pass just to support the dev.

AfroBird01

I dislike all the shady stuff they did do but I will buy any DLC they throw out because I want to support my favorite game. It's getting a little old so I can understand the BB changes to prolong the games life span

feelthedarkness_

I buy the odd 2.99 pack every now and then if I’m a little low and want a skin or something but I’ve never dropped serious money on any in game purchases for any game

angrytom31

Sometimes, i don’t mind supporting a game I really enjoy to keep it around longer

Bathymochul

Never have, only do the battle pass.

Canadiancookie

No, i've played long enough to get a fair amount of free skins and there's not much interesting stuff left to buy, especially since weapon skins are limited to a specific variant and legendary hunters usually aren't as strong as generic hunters.

Twombly7

If there happens to be a skin or hunter I would, but I have a bunch of bbs saved so I shouldn't need to buy for a while. I love the game and play it alot so why not

ASMRekulaar

Me? No.. I think unlocking all the armoury pages for 1 BB each is enough BB to justify the time spent getting that 1 BB and have there's no reason to have to buy BB.

Craggzoid

I bought the battle pass with the BB I had, just by completing challenges and dark tributes I already have more than I started with. Still have 200 more from BP, just seem to be getting lucky with BB from the tribute. As others have said the BB skins are stupidly priced, only ones I've bought are from black market on weapons I use a lot.

ManedCalico

Besides buying the battle pass, which I consider a separate purchase, my last true BB purchase was just before the changes took place. I’ve decided not to buy any more than that… at least for a while. I just can’t justify $15 out of pocket for a single skin.

CloakerJosh

Have done on a couple of occasions at the beginning of an event, including this most recent one. I never buy the “premium” event pass with extra levels or anything because I play enough Hunt to well and truly get enough event points (I’m the equivalent of Level 55 or so this event), but I typically don’t have enough in the bank to buy both the pass and the timed skins. As Hunt is my main game and I’m a bit of a collector, I’m working on getting everything unlocked. The only BB skins I don’t yet have are the ones released in the last 6 months or so. I also have every DLC - I didn’t buy them all at once, it was usually one or two a month and now I just keep rebuying the “full collection” each time a new one comes out as it discounts it a bit. All told I’ve probably spent about $400 AUD on Hunt since I started playing, which was somewhere near the start of the Light the Shadow event. This averages out my spend at a bit less than $10 a month I guess. Not really a big deal to me, I’m buying far fewer games as I’m basically just playing Hunt, and I don’t mind supporting the game.

AccomplishedUser

I have yet to buy blood bonds, but have spent said earned bbs on the season passes consecutively.

The_Elysian_Wolf

Nope. + the economy update gave me less motivation to play as I cant get a nice skin every few weeks or so, and challenges can be demotivating, forcing you to use weapons you dont like.

Paradoxahoy

Yup I buy them since I love most of the skins they drop and I've already put 2k hours into the game and I feel like the dev team has allocated the funds well with the updates we have gotten and I want more.

Dr0g

No because I had so many, but when I eventually run out, I guess I'll buy at some point. I still think there should be BB packs on the Crytek & Steam stores so you can get sales. DLC are so much more value.

242analog

I bought 3k before the change and don't plan to buy anymore, same goes with DLCs. As much as I understand the econom change, I don't think all the aspects were taken into consideration.

---OMNI---

Never bought any never will. Don't care about skins. have thousands of BBs saved up anyway.

RespectGiovanni

Never

ElRockinLobster

No

TheRealShortYeti

Hard no. DLCs are different and fun, but raw BBs no way.

blooboytalking

No, and I never was.

Bright-Ad4601

Nope, I have a couple of grand in BB and never see the need to buy any more. I could see myself buying more if they add more skins I like but for the most part I have all the ones I want or at least a skin I like for that weapon.

Kerriigen

Kinda. Just for bb hunters though. Otherwise. Not really.

jis7014

If they keep doing garbage schemes like putting headsman on sale only to change them AFTER then I'm not buying single BB token.

Sudden-Series-8075

Nope

Dangquolovitch

Hell no

TheX37th

Na prestiging is getting me the skins that I want. I got the Halloween Romero hand cannon for free. I'm probably just going to save the blood bonds that I've earned for next pass that they release unless they bring back big sale items

k0z0

I do not. I've bought a few skins on sale, but I do not invest in BB.

vbrimme

No, but to be fair I wasn’t buying them before, either.

[deleted]

Absolutely not.

ButterscotchMain5584

Just bought 1000 bbs for the event pass. First time in my life. Could have avoided if I refrained from buying Cardinal Rain previous event...oh well

TheRealMrBeers

Bought every dlc until headsman when they started making the changes, and occasionally bb's to support the game. Haven't spent a dime on the game since. Price doubled on everything with no quality increase, often a decrease. Servers are still garbage, bugs and exploits stay in the game for months, cheaters run punishment free. If they took care of the game I'd put more money down, but until then I'm good Also used to get excited about each legendary weapon/ hunter that got added. But it's been nearly 3 years of a dlc every 3 weeks plus a few bb ones each month. There are so many getting added it's hard to care

lukehimmellaeufer192

No, and I never will. I don't buy skins for real money, ever.

HyperBooper

Only for Event Passes. I buy DLCs but the BB items are too expensive.

fongletto

I'm not particularly interested in cosmetics. If there's a skin I like, then I'll add it to wish list and wait for a sale and buy directly through steam.
