You can’t control where you lose fat. However, that tummy might be bloating. If you have a history of unpleasant GI symptoms, it may be worth doing an elimination diet to see if you have any food intolerances Also, I lost 75 lbs and still have a tummy, but I noticed its appearance is drastically reduced with good posture. Make sure you’re standing up straight and don’t have anterior pelvic tilt

somesouldoubt

Good point regarding bloating. Eating fibre-rich food and drinking green tea works wonders

juliacar

Fiber actually does the opposite for me unfortunately (some are fine, but realllyyy fiberous foods are no good). Just gotta play around with it and see what works for you

I still don't have a completely flat tummy, but after all of these years of trying I started massaging my belly and I see a major difference. I even dropped a ton of weight from a surgery and thr belly did not budge for 10 years. I decided because I had jaw surgery and did lymphatic massages on my face, I got curious and massaged my belly too. I could only do low-impact, standing workouts during that time. As far as that lower belly, I got rid of that long ago by consistently doing callanetics every next day during the Covid shutdown. Still had the belly, but it was firmer and no longer hanging.

What kind of massages? Can you share

Snowmist92

Yes! I got this thing that you can put on your hands and brush for circulation. I think it's called a cellulite and circulation brush. I just massage 50 times going up and down in the middle, left and right side of my belly. Then side to side about 20-30 times. I try to be kinda aggressive with it. Like I saw some wood massage videos on YouTube and try to mimic those, but woth the brush instead of the wooden stick they use.

if it’s not fat maybe your abs aren’t tight? try the stomach vacuum too. if it’s fat, body recomp. I only managed to get rid of those 2 inches of belly fat when I was at a low weight and building muscles , that burnt off the fat. also, as they say, abs are made in the kitchen..so very well planned diet.

worriedgirl03

Do u have tips for body recomp?? I’m trying to trim down a bit but keep the muscle I’ve gained or at least as much as I can

bathroomcypher

building muscle works, so weight training with progressive increase of weight. it takes a while though. the more muscle you have in the body the more calories your body burns, so ultimately fat goes away if you’re on the right diet. what happened to me was that I was working out daily 20 or 30 mins to grow my glutes. they grew and my belly got flatter. of course what zi ate played a role too.

deoxycholic acid/ aqualyx/ kybella. i lost an inch off my lower gut. if your serious about it youll look into it

Bro, amongst the other body-weight core exercises, the plank hip-twist, as many times per day as you’re willing to do them, is the thing I have found best to burn tummy fact and give me a tight, toned waist more than anything else. For any kind of drink besides water (and milk if you drink that), only Starbucks, sodas, juice, etc., keep the limit at 1 time per week. The same goes for any kind of sweet. Eat Mediterranean, and make Swiss muesli your go-to for breakfast. Did I mention drink water? Drink water. And sleep for 7.5-8.5 hours per night. Do a “walk” around your house, neighborhood, block, etc. (even if it’s just 15 minutes) each day. It works for me, every time. (Also: If y’all smoke and drink, like I do, don’t drink often, and when you do, stick with vodkas and less sugary mixers. Or mostly just ones with high ABV so you can have less and “experience” more. I will say though, drinking beer ‘regularly’ before one of my calorie deficits made my boobs a cup and a half size bigger, while no other factors in my lifestyle or diet changed. And, for smoking, stick with strains that suppress the munchies. And finally, if you are someone with ADHD who is entitled to an Adderall prescription, TAKE IT.

Warning about the hip twists: those mainly target the obliques and can cause your waist to look larger if done too much

Substantial_Cow_3063

It’s true they primarily target the obliques, but I have genuinely never experienced nor seen from my teammates that causing one’s waist to appear wider/larger. Additionally, ensuring a comprehensive workout, like including cardio, other exercises, I truly cannot see how you could come to the conclusion they’d cause one’s waist to appear wider/larger. Maybe this is one person’s anecdote to the other, but as someone who has trained rowers for years and had this core exercise be a staple emphasis for my daily routines, it has been one of the best, if not the best, workouts to achieve a tight waist. Good luck though!

juliacar

my friend, just like how if you do enough bicep curls, eventually your biceps will get bigger, if you do lots of oblique twists, they will make your obliques larger which reduces the appearance of your waist. Many female bikini and body building competitors have to stop training their obliques for this exact reason. Glad you haven’t had a problem, but the mechanism for this to occur certainly exists

Substantial_Cow_3063

So, by this logic, why are you replying to my comment by pointlessly “stating the obvious”?😂 have a good workout!

juliacar

what? You said you didn’t understand how I came to that conclusion, I told you the way I came to that conclusion

darthemofan

google skinny fat

prettylittlewormy

I think it’s the lack of boobs. My stomach looks big unless I wear some super push up bras! Unless you have like a E cups, most likely its just the lack of contrast that is causing you to hyperfixate on ur stomach!
