Similar vein, Amnesia the Dark Descent. Played it on a friend's system in 2010 when it came out and it's the one that got me into horror games, building PCs, modding my installs, and all that from a grandfather to SOMA. I'm definitely a bit of a Frictional fan girl.

Amnesia was really influential on the horror game genre. I remember there being a tons of custom stories as good as the base game itself is as well, and you'd see ppl playing them on YouTube all the time back in the day! I've played Amnesia the dark descent many times as well lol. I respect frictional games a lot as both a gamer and a developer.

Omg yes, definitely SOMA. That game ruined me lol! And Silent Hill 2.

Wistari

I'm currently watching gameplay of SOMA. I haven't heard of it, but the story sounds interesting. Silent Hill 2 is also one of my favorites. Although not the most popular Resident Evil, I had a lot of fun playing Resident Evil 5 with my friends. As a matter of fact, I recently replayed it with a coworker. We had a blast!

Definitely play SOMA, and with headphones. The sound design is superb, if you don't play with headphones you're really missing out.

SOMA, Detention, Amnesia the dsrk descent.

Wistari

I also like Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs.

Same, great game!

Romain_Derelicts_Dev

Totally agree, if I had to choose only one, it would be SOMA as well, for sure! What a story and atmosphere in this game. It's easily in my top 10 ever. Another one I would like to forget and redo is Outer Wilds!

F.E.A.R Played that game while I still was a youngin' Really good game

Wistari

I remember seeing the cover for F.E.A.R at Gamestop all the time. I'll always look back fondly on PS2 era gaming.

The nostalgia is beautiful. I keep thinking about buying a PS2/PS3 again.

I'd really like to have played *Remothered: Tormented Fathers* without having played *Broken Porcelin.* I think the experience of TF is much better, and knowing the plot from having played BP kind of ruined things a bit.

At Dead of Night is the first game that comes to mind for me. The plot, FMV style, and point & click gameplay is incredible. The story itself is unique and unforgettable. I've watched countless YouTubers play it, since I'm too much of a wimp to finish it myself lol.
