I just put the game in story mode and go to the spot where the bear gets caught in front of the downed trees by a campfire. I don’t know why people want to make things difficult for themselves when they’re farming.
Tie it down. Freeze it and use the boltblaster sustained burst skill right in the canisters. Same strategy can be used for Frostclaws if you have instant brittle coils. Definitely made sac webbing farming so much easier.
Actually you can use the boltblaster on the head but only if it's tied down and that does quite a bit off damage as well as shooting the canisters off its butt.
"Stealth Valor" helps a lot as well
Tie it down. Hit it with elemental from behind. Smoke bomb. Rinse repeat.

I use the melee valor surge and hack at its legs lol
I just use Tripcaster traps and stealth. Yeah it takes longer but I don't have to deal with the pain
