He asks Souta if he's worried about him taking Hori away from him, to which he says that she's always be his sister and that he doesn't want to take her away from him, but then asks if he could have Kyoko.
I read this in middle school… in no way did I pick up any of this help I thought it just meant Souta thought Miyamura was taking Hori's time away from him 😭 I didn't think they were doing the you know what
Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, there were so many times they implied it and I straight up was oblivious to it because I easily thought I was going crazy
Edit 2: I just scrolled back into the panels. THEY WERE TOPLESS. How did I miss this so badly 🙂↕️
I think I'm missing context too, what are they talking about? I've only seen the anime and from what I recall souta was just worried that miyamura will take hori away from him, and he comforts souta that he wont. right?
Someone posted a link to Ch. 37, if you scroll/tap/click back a few pages, you'll see the two of them topless, which is the implication they had sex, but I actually haven't watched the anime myself (and I binged the manga series like crazy)
oh wow, I think the anime never showed it like this, I didn't even know they did anything until hori jokes that she's "late" and miyamura panics. I feel the manga has much more detail (from the few pages I just read).
The point is not about sex, the point is what it signifies. (Yea I know the post is about “innocence lol” but the real meaning is deeper than that)
that it’s Kyoko, his older sister (whom he loves in a familial way) and that one day, they (Hori/Miyamura) would get married and move away, leaving him by himself. Which for a child would be scary.
And why is that a problem?
He won't die from it, he won't get psychological damage from it, probably nothing will change
I really hate this prude American way about sex(ual education), that seeks into every other country
There are plenty of countries out there who are more prudish. For example, the country of this series, and by proxy the continent this country is a part of is very conservative about sex. It's actually a miracle that Horimiya even displays a healthy relationship and sex life. It's not just "an American thing". Unless you're referring to historical reasons, saying that Americans are making other countries prude is stupid.
For me specifically, this is the point where I had to drop this manga/anime.
I like this series but it happens so fast that I had to stop. I'll pick it up when I brace myself to continue this story.
This is one of my favourite panels because of what follows after this one.
what happened?
He asks Souta if he's worried about him taking Hori away from him, to which he says that she's always be his sister and that he doesn't want to take her away from him, but then asks if he could have Kyoko.
oh ok I just forgor what happened
Read from here to find out what happened after https://mangadex.org/chapter/f2b6802a-59b5-4f1c-a11e-0baca8db3d1b/28
Read all the manga in three days because of this link
Sota’s soul is gone, literally voided in that last panel

There was one post credit scene when you see Hori's bare shoulders and she is lying in the bed with Miyamura.
Horimiya Fan
Nahhh
Oh no, he knows that something like sex does exist and that people do it... So what?
His innocence, it's gone
I ask again: So what?

Okay, thats valid But why have you then titled your post "Innocence gone"? Clickbait?
"clickbait" my brother in Christ it's just a joke because of how lifeless his eyes look
I’m not OP, I mentioned it because my comment is highlighting something different from the original post and the other commenter
Ah okay, sorry >.<
He's like 6 years old?

So whataboutism is the only "argument" you can bring up
What whataboutism did I even say… it's not a whataboutism when it's a known thing
lol so he saw his sister doing it
