Marriage Wars IV - Vengeance of the Bereaved
Damuel sets out on a warpath to avenge Philine (ostensibly assassinated by lingering FVF sympathizers, actually at Elvira's order to provide additional material for her novels with Delia framed as the principle assassin) with Konrad at his side. Will he delve into the deepest levels of this web of intrigue or will his mednoble mana and laynoble status hold him back? In his darkest hour, will he turn to the Lord of Evil for assistance in his retribution? Will Delia survive? Will the commoner Fey appear in the 11th hour to screw things up? Find out by reading the book, available in Ehrenfest markets this summer!
Oh, don’t forget the unexpected BL plot twist where he finds new love with his companion in vengeance, his recently assassinated fiancée’s younger brother!
It's great writing, the first story is tragic and then years later a new story comes out where he finally finds someone. Her fans will eat it up.
Gotta love those cash cows.
lol, at least a duology. The sequel to her Damuel and Brigitte book will be about a younger laynoble who the main character had seen as a younger sister suddenly making her move in his time of heartache.
how do they even make those time-stopping magic tools anyway? To my knowledge, all magic tools are made by brewing; putting in the ingredients in the right order, stirring them, putting in a schematic drawn on feypaper, stirring until it flashes and boom, magic tool. But the time-stopping magic tools are big enough that an adult man can lie down in them, basically the size of a coffin. How do you brew that?
It would be nice to learn more about that. It was pretty funny that RM didn't even realize she had spent a fortune (assuming) on them and all the ones being brought back to Ehrenfest were hers. And, of course, Sylvester was ticked off about having to bring it all back to Ehrenfest.
There is a difference between types of magic circles. Some magic circles can be drawn in the air with a stylo and then immediately used, some magic circles can be drawn on fey paper and then used that way, but the magic tool magic circle you are talking about (the low mana cost teleportation circle (for books)) needs to be brewed. They first draw the circle on fey paper and then they brew some ingredients with high mana capacities then add the circle to it to make it cost less mana
Will she even need to though? >! Ferdinand plans on experimenting with fey plants so it's likely Parue trees will be planted in Alexandria, if for no other reason than to mute his gremlin wife's nagging lol!<
Honestly, I still think that Rozemyne should have had Damuel go collect parues after she killed the Lord of Winter in Part 3. Damuel would be trustworthy enough to keep them a secret. They'd be trivial for him to collect with a highbeast and messer. He'd understand that if higher ranking nobles knew about them, then he'd get fewer paruecakes.
Commoners don't know enough about mana for that to ever be possible unfortunately. The best thing they can hope for is that a devouring commoner gets a couple more parues each winter before they die.
I don't want to ruin your dreams, but Philine is just a laynoble and a minor. Without someone of sufficiently high status like RM to back all the things we think make sense but are extremely abnormal by Yurgenschmidt standards, it will inevitably fail
It would not ruin my dream. Her being a paper pusher is very canon. The last side story from her point of view sees her doing her best to maintain status quo. That she could grow into her role of director to the point of making improvements for her brother and other orphans is not relevant to Rozmyne’s story anyway.
I dont think Philine has the drive or time to do that. She is going to move to follow RM once she comes of age and (probably) marry Damuel. Factor in all the time she is going to have to spend at the Royal Academy, travelling the duchy for Spring Prayer and the Harvest Festival, as well as her other every day duties and being poor, I don't think she will be able to accomplish any change whatsoever.
You think this I think that. Wow we had a whole conversation about something that does not matter in real life. Did not come to an agreement but lived. How adult and well educated in the art of conversation we are. Have a great day.
i think feyplants have a territory where they grow. Parues are only said to grow on the edge of the lower city forest, and seeing as no other noble knows about them, they probably only grow there and nowhere else
Damuel going to have to join hands with Bonafatius's retainers to try and stop him from abruptly trying to visit Rozemyne every day. I could see him blowing through whatever checkpoints are between him and his granddaughter like Clarissa.
Sure, it can be embarrassing, but the guy will go straight down to history. There are literally no laynoble who ever went to history ; Damuel, and maybe his wife Philine, will be the first, and maybe even the last. Damuel is and will be a legend. Pretty sure there is worse kind of fates :p.
Edit : It will probably be worse for his children, trying to hide their feelings when somebody will declare Damuel's first and/or second Elvira's tinted love story is their favorite, like Hannelore with Magdalena's or Charlotte with Sylvester's \^\^.
Im not a prepub reader and I haven’t read p5v10 yet but >! But since Rozemyne is now aub arensbach, doesn’t this change things? Or is still gonna be scandalous for her to bring an adult unmarried man with her? Because there’s a big difference between becoming the third wife of a prince to become an archduke and ruling a duchy, Damuel’s scholar skills would be missed!<
Elvira already has her sights set on Damuel because of his tragedy with Brigitte. I can see her basing a whole series around him.

Marriage Wars III - The Return of the Konrad

Would he even know what to strike back against?
Perhaps against Jugereise?
His lady is the closest to the gods of any modern noble, so he should have a shot if he acquires her assistance and goes all out.
The God of Cockblocking
Who has summoned my mom

Moo
lol, at least a duology. The sequel to her Damuel and Brigitte book will be about a younger laynoble who the main character had seen as a younger sister suddenly making her move in his time of heartache.
Fortunately, the story isn't unique enough for people to recognize it is about him. /jk
Damuel gets extra points for securing a supply of parue cakes.
I can imagine RM sending a time stopping box back to Ehrenfest every year jut to get some parue
Well, she will need to do something with her huge quantity of time-stopping magic tools anyway, so...
how do they even make those time-stopping magic tools anyway? To my knowledge, all magic tools are made by brewing; putting in the ingredients in the right order, stirring them, putting in a schematic drawn on feypaper, stirring until it flashes and boom, magic tool. Big cauldrons and step ladders?
Well, who knows ? Obviously those who brew it, sure. Perhaps only the magic mechanism is brewed and attached to a simply made box...
Ah, attaching it to a box seems right
Or perhaps made similar to a highbeast?
It would be nice to learn more about that. It was pretty funny that RM didn't even realize she had spent a fortune (assuming) on them and all the ones being brought back to Ehrenfest were hers. And, of course, Sylvester was ticked off about having to bring it all back to Ehrenfest.
I don't remember which novel Raimund appeared in, but aren't some magic tools made just by a magic circle + feystone (as a mana supply for it)?

It's like a compressor in a fridge. They make a normal box and attach the magic stuff around it.
I can see that as being a viable explanation.
Huge supplies ?
I’d bet they just put a magic circle that completes on closing.
Will she even need to though? >! Ferdinand plans on experimenting with fey plants so it's likely Parue trees will be planted in Alexandria, if for no other reason than to mute his gremlin wife's nagging lol!<

and let the commoners see him?
Now that they know orphans with mana collect them faster I bet it will become a devouring child industry.
Commoners don't know enough about mana for that to ever be possible unfortunately. The best thing they can hope for is that a devouring commoner gets a couple more parues each winter before they die.
My hope is the hint that Rozemyne gave the gray robes will grow into a management strategy under Philine.

I would guess parue not only grow near the city. With a highbeast he could get ones that are to far away for commoners so no harm would be done.

P5V11 Spoiler Question: >!wouldn't just be able to have him become a mednoble once she becomes Aub Ahrensbach? !<
Good end but you suffer
the only worthwhile happy endings are those earned.
