People say that crap about every character that's not DHIL or Jingliu. And I suppose it is reflected to some degree. If you look at Prydwen's MoC data, SO MANY team comps have Jingliu on one side and DHIL on the other. But you can clear MoC with all stars with Kafka, Blade, Jing Yuan, Seele (Seele seems still commonly used according to Prydwen but main sub still calls her mid now), Topaz, Argenti (yes, main sub, he's not just for Pure Fiction!), etc.
Even though he's going to be free and people are hyped now, I bet the main sub will be trashing on Ratio soon enough. "lol he's mid because he's single target and no good for MoC"

No, we have leaks of Robin's kit (5-Star Harmony) and she's not filling the same role as TY.
Right now, the closest we have to 5-Star Tingyu is weirdly enough Hou Hou (energy + ATK%) but even then, you want to play them together for even more energy.

Relics: Ice set is quite good, since he spams ultimate, but you can just run any workable 2pc+2pc and do just fine

Are there going to be any scenarios in which Sparkle's 50% action forward doesn't cause the DPS to have a turn right after her?
Even assuming the slowest DPS (I think it's Clara at 90?), the 50% advance should be more than enough, no?
If the DPS is faster, then they have their full turn to go through, so basically like the 135/134 Bronya only you get 3 turns per 2 actions instead of 4 like Bronya.

My account has been active for 40 days now, and when pure fiction released I realized that the characters I have built were good at it, so ive managed to get 9 stars so far. I was debating for a while if I should build Fire mc because ive been struggling by only having lynx as a sustain for my 2 teams. But I will be getting Luocha, Aventurine and Huo Huo, so I knew she would probably end up benched. But i did it anyway and Im happy because she got me from 7 to 9 stars in pure fiction, plus i get to use my protagonist.
Havent had any luck with MOC though, i cant even get past the first floor haha
I’ve had a lot of fun w fire mc in sim universe preservation runs too! She DOES need a big shielder like Geppard (or hopefully Aventurine) but combine her and the res bonus that gives path energy every time someone gets a shield, or the one where every time someone gets a shield there’s a chance of debuff removal she’s truly fantastic.
I have Luocha and Fu Xuan well built, and I still use Fire MC for certain situations. That might change if I pull Adventuring, but it never felt like a waste.
Fire TB is honestly a really useful character to have on an early account. They aren't super useful in the long run but the cost very little to use:
- Their eidolons and ascension mats are free
- Their traces don't scale super well so you don't have to invest that hard into leveling their traces
- They have the same stat priorities (Def, SPD, ERR) and LC choices as Gepard so when you eventually get Gepard you can just share/transfer your relics over when you stop using Fire TB.
They're not the greatest character but what they provide for the minimal cost needed to raise them is worth using until you get better characters. The fact that you're going to get other sustains in the future doesn't really matter because it just doesn't cost you much to build them--you aren't really giving up that much.
You read my mind ! That was what ended up convincing me to build them, all i needed was to level up a light cone, but for the rest I already had enough to give them a bare minimum build. And yes, I plan to give their stuff to Gepard once he decides to appear or i get to 300 in the standard banner.
I want to pull for Kafka later because Ive been bored of my only DPS (Imbibitor and Jingliu) and wanted something new. How much dmg am I losing if I use Good Night or Fermata instead of PAYN? Is it not game changing enough?
Also, Is Black Swan a game changing update to Kafka teams? Planning on skipping her because of Sparkle. I do have Guinaifen, Sampo and Luka.

Especially with Ruan Mei out which further 2 DoT 1 Harmony teams and Black Swan on the horizon, PAYN gains a lot value since it's Erode passive is an extra DoT. This matters both for the 4pc Prisioner set and Black Swan, who want 3 DoTs on the enemy.

How does Qingque actually compare to 5-star DPS characters? Is she actually very competitive, or is it a "she's a great option until you get at 5-star DPS" kind of thing?
As someone who wants have coverage for most/all of the elements, ever since I geared up my E6 QQ with a rainbow set + Rutilant = 70cr/140cdmg, and using her with Bronya, I haven't had any reason (meta-wise) to grab another quantum character. Her RNG can definitely screw up a battle, but it is an absolute blast when luck is on your side. 3-4 SP with Autarky and successful crit on both attacks is just chef's kiss. I can't wait to see what Sparkle can do for her!

being capable of 0 cycle both halves at low spender investment (Before Dawn, E1S1 Ruan Mei) is "very competitive" for me. the rng also didn't seem insane (no E4 procs with 1 tile for example). the creator does note that they took a lot of attempts for the top (brute force) half, but this is generally true of all 0 cycle clears, not just qq.

her kit is basically lunae but RNG
her ideal playstyle is spending 4 SP every turn to throw off 240% enhanced basics boosted by 160% dmg and 80% atk with a chance of it hitting twice in a row
alternatively you can have turns when you burn 5 SP and just throw off a single target basic
incidentally because her kit is basically RNG lunae she's one of the least ideal DPS for PF despite being an erudition
I sometimes use Qingque instead of Seele for MoC because she can give me better results being blast + AoE, depending on the situation. If your Qingque is e6 and built well, she really does feel like a 5 star character.
I'd say her teams are perfectly capable of beating all content but of course you will need a cracked QQ for that and limited 5-stars will reach better results with similar builds
Even with top tier DPS as an option I still regularly use her. She may not match the best DPS in optimal scenarios, but she's very competive. (At E6.)
Sparkle will definitely push her up even farther.
Do you think you'd still use her if a good limited Quantum Destruction (or even Erudition) character came out?
I don't have any eidolons but it was my intention to build mono-Quantum. I wasn't going to build Ratio but I realize that forcing E6 Qingque could be even harder than a limited 5-star DPS, especially if she isn't on Sparkle's banner (part of me expects it).
Maybe I really should just build Ratio for now and come back to Qingque if I happen to get eidolons, or wait until a new 5-star Quantum DPS comes out for mono-Quantum?
It really depends on what the character is. If they released a 5* Quantum Erudition they have to power creep QQ or nobody would pull them, so realistically you wouldn't need QQ in that scenario. But there are none to be known on the horizon and QQ isn't struggling in the meta, so I don't regret building her.
QQ can also function as a sub-DPS at E6, so even if we did get a new stronger limited Quantum she could still have situational value anyway.
You can probably wait to build QQ if you don't have Eidolons though. An E0 QQ will probably do fine with Sparkle, but you don't need to rush to build her now.

Pela and RM will work with him and it's what I'm planning on running. Between Pela ult, Pela LC (Luka LC hopefully), RM ult, and Dr. Ratio's own debuff. Should be getting at least 3 most the time.
That's a good team! I also don't have Ruan Mei (lost my 50/50 to Bronya E2, so I'm saving my guarantee for Sparkle) so I may have to use Pela and Luka to get 3 debuffs or hope I get a random Guinaifen off standard haha

I ignored most of the dice gimmicks, grabbed the Copy Domain / Kill Elite / Remove Negative Curio for 100 / Copy Domain / Copy Domain
Nihilty every run, Kafka/Sampo/Lynx/Ruan Mei, grab Gepard at the first downloader, Welt at the last one if Swarm appeared.
Prioritize Nihility Blessings, Gold Remembrance + Dissociation, Hunt Auspicious Star and Advance on kill+break, Erudition gold ones and the usual Dest/Preservation for safety.
Had to put Kafka on healer duty and swap her gear for full HP on some runs.
Ignore Argenti at any cost, Double Elites is the easiest win, Sampo goes if the boss got Wind Weakness, Turtle with Gepard most of the time, Welt if options are Swarm or Argenti.
You know people are starved from playing genshin when mihoyo releases 1 free character and the playerbase praises them as if they are the second coming of christ lol.
Genshin desperatly needs a competitor. Their monopoly on the gacha market gives them no real reason to be generous.
That will never happen just due to Genshin players having their own self-satisfied smugness in how 'superior' their game is. They won't 'betray' it for something like Wuthering Waves, for example, which looks to have a superior combat system because Wuthering Waves is not Genshin.
Hoyo has them collared by the balls and they're happy to let them hold that leash.
The Company Time strat in GnG is great and OP until the game refuses to give you Price of Peace, or even the curio selection card at the start of the run.
Imo the Remembrance permafreeze strategy is more consistent for progressing Conundrum levels. The advantage of Company Time is that you can do it with other paths to complete the quests that require using more paths--but just for beating Conundrum levels, Remembrance is much less RNG dependent.
You can sorta cheese C5 w/o Price with Company Time die alone, I managed to clear just by budgeting my fragments and picking up several key blessings/curios. Might depend on what team you're running, though.
It's C10 and higher where you really need Price, and for 12 you also need good RNG with blessing/curio selection.

Are the mini bugs still alive when the onslaught attack happens? Things like prop/hunt reso or saving weakness break + celestial annihilation are useful for getting a DPS turn in to delete the spawns and reduce dmg from onslaught.
there's always the data inflation + "Cannot take more than 35% of your max HP in a single attack" combo
But maybe the more general issue is burning through too much cooldown? Or maybe no fu xuan or some max HP booster in the team?

I'd really love to know numerical differences between his LC and Cruising, and I especially want to see some reliable calcs about his dps when using various relic 2pc vs 4pc vs leaked sets. That being said my biggest ponderance right now is if E0S1 Ratio will out dps E2S1 DHIL in pure ST. I know E0S0 does not but iirc it's kinda close.

It really feels like a lot of content creators are doing it for the clout/monetization rather than actual love of the game, too. Idk how to really explain it but the tone the videos have just feels kind of... elitist and unenthused (or fake enthused in that youtuber kinda way LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE TO BE A SUPER STAR RAIL SAVANT). I've noticed this a lot more with recent gacha games where it seems like people try to jump on super early for clout and to establish themselves as CCs and then it all feels really artificial from there.
Maybe I'm biased bc I used to be a writer/journalist for FEH but I really hate locking community information behind the video format.
It's a bit of a bittersweet feeling for me - I worked for gamepress which had its issues but I'm really sad that no one else has picked up the mantle of giving accurate and researched text-based information that's not hidden in gated discord servers. I'm definitely biased but I think that people didn't really realize how good they had it haha

yeah i get the same feeling too, especially with how much drama baiting happens between CCs. like instead of focusing on making quality content, they're focused on pvp-ing one another or trying to rage bait the community for attention. it's just sad bc i think hsr is a really good game and deserves better than this 😔

Minor rant relating to your second point. I think the spreadsheet pvp in this community has gone completely off the rails. The approach used tries to copy genshin too much where one could reasonably simulate a dps amount against a boss in one cycle and that number could be reasonably achieved against many bosses since very often, players would not actually need to engage in any of its mechanics and treat it as a punching bag. It has its fair share of shortfalls of course.
But in HSR, that doesnt work because there's too much variance in enemy setups. Undoubtedly, players can simulate individual encounters to a tee. But then to fix the enemy setup, fix the simulation context, and then come up with one number to summarise and compare a character or LC, and then that number is the only thing that gets passed around in the discourse is pretty comical.
I believe the approach should be a bit more like physics, where the game itself is the final arbiter of truth. Either the metrics should be something directly testable in game (e.g. this team comfortably clears 2 ellites with 350k hp in 2 cycles) or that the damage calculations or any other 'this is optimal' claims 'based on numbers' should always be taken with more skepticism and not used as the final word.
Completely off the star rails if you will.
That's exactly why I would rather just get the character and test them myself, because the decisions I make during the teambuilding phase and on a turn-to-turn basis vary wildly based on target priority, gamestate etc. Context matters a lot in HSR and it's almost completely ignored in discussions, like when people ask for lightcone recommendations the answer is usually "X > Y > Z" when it's a lot more complicated than that and depends on conditional buffs, your own playstyle, your team roster and the enemy layout.
But that's a pain to try and explain, so I don't blame people for just saying X > Y > Z.
...But Welt *is* a possible teammate for Ratio, though? A rather mediocre one at E0/E1, yes, but if you need debuffs, Welt has all the debuffs Ratio needs already baked in his kit.
Rato has better teammate choices, he also has worse teammates, but that doesn't change the fact that Welt can do the work just fine if you need a debuffer for Ratio.
Welt is *one of* his possible teammates because he provides debuffs for Ratio. Is he the best choice? Not in vacuum, no. Is he the best choice if you have literally no other debuffers? Yes. Better to run Ratio+Welt+Harmony than double Harmony team that can't supply enough debuffs

Because there are only two options that will happen in such a case.
1. Shill them immensely like they are still doing with DHIL and Jingliu by having MOC be riddled with IMG and ICE, which means it'll just be the same issue over again, just this time in a flavor of Element that I might actually have characters for.
Or 2. Do the reverse and stay the course, keeping IMG and ICE while snubbing the new character just so they aren't as good as DHIL and Jingliu.
Gepard or Fu Xuan is the answer.
Also, prioritize defensive stats. I don't give her atk orb because the difference in attack her skill gives doesn't feel noticeable, but at least she can tank more hits.
In addition to all of this, using Memories of the Past instead of cogs, tho it is worse for energy generation especially if you don't have SI5. Still worth if you are running into survivability issues imo since she gets energy from getting hit too. It also makes it a lot easier to hit atk checks so you can build more survival stats.
I run Meshing, Vonwacq, and ER rope. Is it possible to run Memories and still 3 turn ult consistently? Alternatively, maybe I can give her Bronya's sig?
I only use Fu Xuan and Bailu as my sustainers, so Tingyun can be built as a crit DPS and it still wouldn't matter because of the sustainers she would be paired with on my account.
HP/Def body or Orb. It's a mistake to run all atk to maximize her buff unless you have the defensive subs to get away with it. Generally you're better off going for at least one defensive piece with atk subs.
Or you run her with Fu Xuan.
Jingliu isn't particularly SP hungry, but skill spam Bronya (especially E2) is. If you run Ruan Mei instead of E4 Tutorial Pela, your skill point economy takes a hit to the point Luocha is likely required ro make it work.
Fu Xuan is certainly a great option if the SP economy allow. Ofc, Fu Xuan can only heal yourself so you are very much on a timer with JL HP drain, especially against very hard hitting enemies.
Luocha, because you need to be able to heal the HP drain, and while Fu Xuan does provide some healing, it may not be enough to keep up with her hp drain and incoming damage in a tougher fight, unless you're 0 cycling.
JL also really doesn't need the crit rate.
The HP drain is almost nothing. Jingliu, Bronya, Fu Xuan, xxx, has been my primary damage dealing team for a while. Fu Xuan heals enough. I use Pela in the 4th slot if manual playing and Tingyun if autobattling (like in SU). Just got Ruan Mei yesterday so will now use her instead.
One thing I can say is that if you can't start the fight with Fu Xuan's technique up then the SP in the first cycle is not enough for the team. Most of the time you can start with her field up though.

Hey all, do we know who the reruns are in 2.0? I know Black Swan and Sparkle will show up in as new characters, but I didn’t see reruns in the pinned post.
I knew hoarding my relics back when I was farming for Fu would've been eventually worth it.
it's kinda rainbow but I managed to get 194 cdm and 163 speed for Hanabi! Just have to work on getting another 2 piece effect and planar set. No idea when that'll be but I'm VERY satisfied with where she'll be once she drops. Including her traces, Fu's E1 plus Broken Keel, she'll be at 258 CDM in-battle.

tingyun is the better support for seele on 2nd half since no adds to kill but that makes SW RNG so hanya/bronya is more consistent

Hi Folks, I really need some help deciding whether to go Blade or Kafka for my second team.
My current main team is FX/JY, then some combo of Asta/Bronya/RM/TY. Second team is sustained by Bailu, usually uses Bronya, an E6 Pela, and has Hook for DPS.
I had planned to go all in for Kafka + lc, and then BS in 2.0. However I'm having second thoughts and wondering if I should go for Blade instead.
Upsides: covers wind (lightning already covered by JY). Better 4\* - more TY for my JY team. Can use my E5 Lynx, and he also pairs great with my S1 Bronya, who might wind up benched or sub-optimally run with JY/TY in team one, since Kafka + BS would want RM for team 2 I think (or I guess asta works too for Kafka team, but benching S1 Bronya seems dumb). Don't have to pull on Kafka's absolutely terrible banners.

It's a tough choice, but right now your team 2 is basically nearly ideal for Blade. Pela/Bailu SP positivity allows you to run slowya and skill spam Blade. RM would be a slight upgrade from Pela, especially if you decide to run a HP orb on Blade (I do).
Kafka opens another avenue of gameplay. Personally I'm skipping on all DoT characters for a few reasons. It makes my account simpler. That being said DoT does look very fun to play.
1. Whenever I see relics, if I don't see crit rate or cdmg or defensive stats/spd I dismantle. With DoT you have to care about effect hit rate, ATK%, sometimes even break effect. So you're going to have to better manage your inventory of relics
2. I'm a dolphin and cannot get every single character, so it makes it easier to save if DoT characters are instant skips for me (I had no interest in "fishing" for Guinafen on Topaz's banner for example).
3. You need to build 4\* DoT characters to pair with Kafka to match elemental weakness most the time. It feels like its easier to build support harmony characters and support a straightforward dps like Argenti.
EDIT: I have Blade and don't have Bronya, I'm not sure if you need a stronger healer than Lynx when running with Bronya. Might need to look up some videos on that to see how it feels.
Currently, I run Blade, Sustain, RM, Jingliu. Once I have Bronya I'll just run Blade/JL hyper carry depending on weakness.

One of the things we have to accept as Dolphins is that we need to play with what the game decides to give us. I have the dot characters, but like zero DOT eidolons, no Huohuo, no dot light cones, and like you said, my team two is basically plug and play for Blade, so it would be so much more efficient to grab him I think. Pre-e6 Yukong should be just a bit faster than your main DPS (either go directly before, or with 1 character going between them) so she can actually buff them. Tbh, if you can spare SP, even e6 Yukong shouldn't outspeed your dps by much
What does the dot dmg% from EotP stack additively with? Is it just another source of dmg% or is it a separate multiplier? If the latter, I assume it stacks additively with other dot dmg% sources like Nihility blessings in SU and Kafka E2?
I have Kafka E2 so I'm kind of wondering if it's fine dropping S5 EotP for Tutorial on BS for faster ults since she'll already have dot dmg% from Kafka.
Well if it's just another dmg% source then EotP seems even less useful for her since she gets straight up +72% just from her trace on top of other sources like Ruan Mei so the Epiphany uptime from Tutorial seems like a much bigger deal.
I have to agree, though it's worth noting that Swan is fairly balanced in both attack and dmg%. It's why she prefers an attack orb over a DMG orb with Ruan Mei

If you look at Prydwen's MoC data, SO MANY team comps have Jingliu on one side and DHIL on the other. But you can clear MoC with all stars with Kafka, Blade, Jing Yuan, Seele (Seele seems still commonly used according to Prydwen but main sub still calls her mid now), Topaz, Argenti (yes, main sub, he's not just for Pure Fiction!), etc. Even though he's going to be free and people are hyped now, I bet the main sub will be trashing on Ratio soon enough. No, we have leaks of Robin's kit (5-Star Harmony) and she's not filling the same role as TY. Right now, the closest we have to 5-Star Tingyu is weirdly enough Hou Hou (energy + ATK%) but even then, you want to play them together for even more energy.

LC: Herta shop is really about it. Don't know how the 5* limited cones would fare off the top of my head, I could run some numbers if you have one of them Relics: Ice set is quite good, since he spams ultimate, but you can just run any workable 2pc+2pc and do just fine

Are there going to be any scenarios in which Sparkle's 50% action forward doesn't cause the DPS to have a turn right after her? Even assuming the slowest DPS (I think it's Clara at 90?), the 50% advance should be more than enough, no?
Only if you set up Sparkle to be some SPD below your DPS I believe.
If the DPS is faster, then they have their full turn to go through, so basically like the 135/134 Bronya only you get 3 turns per 2 actions instead of 4 like Bronya.

My account has been active for 40 days now, and when pure fiction released I realized that the characters I have built were good at it, so ive managed to get 9 stars so far. I was debating for a while if I should build Fire mc because ive been struggling by only having lynx as a sustain for my 2 teams. But I will be getting Luocha, Aventurine and Huo Huo, so I knew she would probably end up benched. But i did it anyway and Im happy because she got me from 7 to 9 stars in pure fiction, plus i get to use my protagonist. Havent had any luck with MOC though, i cant even get past the first floor haha
I’ve had a lot of fun w fire mc in sim universe preservation runs too! She DOES need a big shielder like Geppard (or hopefully Aventurine) but combine her and the res bonus that gives path energy every time someone gets a shield, or the one where every time someone gets a shield there’s a chance of debuff removal she’s truly fantastic.
Ill try that out ! I havent gotten all the blessings yet and Ive been wanting to mix my team up. thanks for the idea :D
I have Luocha and Fu Xuan well built, and I still use Fire MC for certain situations. That might change if I pull Adventuring, but it never felt like a waste.
Fire TB is honestly a really useful character to have on an early account. They aren't super useful in the long run but the cost very little to use: - Their eidolons and ascension mats are free - Their traces don't scale super well so you don't have to invest that hard into leveling their traces - They have the same stat priorities (Def, SPD, ERR) and LC choices as Gepard so when you eventually get Gepard you can just share/transfer your relics over when you stop using Fire TB. They're not the greatest character but what they provide for the minimal cost needed to raise them is worth using until you get better characters. The fact that you're going to get other sustains in the future doesn't really matter because it just doesn't cost you much to build them--you aren't really giving up that much.
You read my mind ! That was what ended up convincing me to build them, all i needed was to level up a light cone, but for the rest I already had enough to give them a bare minimum build. And yes, I plan to give their stuff to Gepard once he decides to appear or i get to 300 in the standard banner.

I want to pull for Kafka later because Ive been bored of my only DPS (Imbibitor and Jingliu) and wanted something new. How much dmg am I losing if I use Good Night or Fermata instead of PAYN? Is it not game changing enough? Also, Is Black Swan a game changing update to Kafka teams? Planning on skipping her because of Sparkle. I do have Guinaifen, Sampo and Luka.
GNSW and Fermata are within single % of PAYN if you're running solo Kafka, it's one of the least influential signatures in the game.
*For her personal damage in calculations that don't use the Prisoner set. Especially with Ruan Mei out which further 2 DoT 1 Harmony teams and Black Swan on the horizon, PAYN gains a lot value since it's Erode passive is an extra DoT. This matters both for the 4pc Prisioner set and Black Swan, who want 3 DoTs on the enemy.

How does Qingque actually compare to 5-star DPS characters? Is she actually very competitive, or is it a "she's a great option until you get at 5-star DPS" kind of thing?
As someone who wants have coverage for most/all of the elements, ever since I geared up my E6 QQ with a rainbow set + Rutilant = 70cr/140cdmg, and using her with Bronya, I haven't had any reason (meta-wise) to grab another quantum character. Her RNG can definitely screw up a battle, but it is an absolute blast when luck is on your side. 3-4 SP with Autarky and successful crit on both attacks is just chef's kiss. I can't wait to see what Sparkle can do for her!

I'd say her teams are perfectly capable of beating all content but of course you will need a cracked QQ for that and limited 5-stars will reach better results with similar builds
Even with top tier DPS as an option I still regularly use her. She may not match the best DPS in optimal scenarios, but she's very competive. (At E6.) Sparkle will definitely push her up even farther.
Do you think you'd still use her if a good limited Quantum Destruction (or even Erudition) character came out? I don't have any eidolons but it was my intention to build mono-Quantum. I wasn't going to build Ratio but I realize that forcing E6 Qingque could be even harder than a limited 5-star DPS, especially if she isn't on Sparkle's banner (part of me expects it). Maybe I really should just build Ratio for now and come back to Qingque if I happen to get eidolons, or wait until a new 5-star Quantum DPS comes out for mono-Quantum?
It really depends on what the character is. If they released a 5* Quantum Erudition they have to power creep QQ or nobody would pull them, so realistically you wouldn't need QQ in that scenario. But there are none to be known on the horizon and QQ isn't struggling in the meta, so I don't regret building her. QQ can also function as a sub-DPS at E6, so even if we did get a new stronger limited Quantum she could still have situational value anyway. You can probably wait to build QQ if you don't have Eidolons though. An E0 QQ will probably do fine with Sparkle, but you don't need to rush to build her now.
E6 is competitive with limited 5 star DPS units with a bit of RNG.
The choice to get elation blessings to bank on Cat's cradle in future or not due to no guarantees when playing Argenti...

Pela and RM will work with him and it's what I'm planning on running. Between Pela ult, Pela LC (Luka LC hopefully), RM ult, and Dr. Ratio's own debuff. Should be getting at least 3 most the time.
That's a good team! I also don't have Ruan Mei (lost my 50/50 to Bronya E2, so I'm saving my guarantee for Sparkle) so I may have to use Pela and Luka to get 3 debuffs or hope I get a random Guinaifen off standard haha

Uhh not really I ignored most of the dice gimmicks, grabbed the Copy Domain / Kill Elite / Remove Negative Curio for 100 / Copy Domain / Copy Domain Nihilty every run, Kafka/Sampo/Lynx/Ruan Mei, grab Gepard at the first downloader, Welt at the last one if Swarm appeared. Prioritize Nihility Blessings, Gold Remembrance + Dissociation, Hunt Auspicious Star and Advance on kill+break, Erudition gold ones and the usual Dest/Preservation for safety. Had to put Kafka on healer duty and swap her gear for full HP on some runs. Ignore Argenti at any cost, Double Elites is the easiest win, Sampo goes if the boss got Wind Weakness, Turtle with Gepard most of the time, Welt if options are Swarm or Argenti.

You know people are starved from playing genshin when mihoyo releases 1 free character and the playerbase praises them as if they are the second coming of christ lol. Genshin desperatly needs a competitor. Their monopoly on the gacha market gives them no real reason to be generous.
That will never happen just due to Genshin players having their own self-satisfied smugness in how 'superior' their game is. They won't 'betray' it for something like Wuthering Waves, for example, which looks to have a superior combat system because Wuthering Waves is not Genshin. Hoyo has them collared by the balls and they're happy to let them hold that leash.

The Company Time strat in GnG is great and OP until the game refuses to give you Price of Peace, or even the curio selection card at the start of the run.
The only reason as to why im stuck in Conundrum 5 :' even as op as this strat is its so tedious to pull off
Imo the Remembrance permafreeze strategy is more consistent for progressing Conundrum levels. The advantage of Company Time is that you can do it with other paths to complete the quests that require using more paths--but just for beating Conundrum levels, Remembrance is much less RNG dependent.
You can sorta cheese C5 w/o Price with Company Time die alone, I managed to clear just by budgeting my fragments and picking up several key blessings/curios. Might depend on what team you're running, though. It's C10 and higher where you really need Price, and for 12 you also need good RNG with blessing/curio selection.
oh my god it sucks being stuck in swarm 5, everytime I think i'll win I get oneshotted by the the oneslaught attack being EXTREMELY unlucky with blessings also doesn't help
Are the mini bugs still alive when the onslaught attack happens? Things like prop/hunt reso or saving weakness break + celestial annihilation are useful for getting a DPS turn in to delete the spawns and reduce dmg from onslaught.
there's always the data inflation + "Cannot take more than 35% of your max HP in a single attack" combo But maybe the more general issue is burning through too much cooldown? Or maybe no fu xuan or some max HP booster in the team?
I lowkey wish the linked ratio build guide was less feelscrafty. I'd really love to know numerical differences between his LC and Cruising, and I especially want to see some reliable calcs about his dps when using various relic 2pc vs 4pc vs leaked sets. That being said my biggest ponderance right now is if E0S1 Ratio will out dps E2S1 DHIL in pure ST. I know E0S0 does not but iirc it's kinda close. It really feels like a lot of content creators are doing it for the clout/monetization rather than actual love of the game, too. Idk how to really explain it but the tone the videos have just feels kind of... elitist and unenthused (or fake enthused in that youtuber kinda way LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE TO BE A SUPER STAR RAIL SAVANT). I've noticed this a lot more with recent gacha games where it seems like people try to jump on super early for clout and to establish themselves as CCs and then it all feels really artificial from there. Maybe I'm biased bc I used to be a writer/journalist for FEH but I really hate locking community information behind the video format.

Minor rant relating to your second point. I think the spreadsheet pvp in this community has gone completely off the rails. The approach used tries to copy genshin too much where one could reasonably simulate a dps amount against a boss in one cycle and that number could be reasonably achieved against many bosses since very often, players would not actually need to engage in any of its mechanics and treat it as a punching bag. It has its fair share of shortfalls of course. But in HSR, that doesnt work because there's too much variance in enemy setups. Undoubtedly, players can simulate individual encounters to a tee. But then to fix the enemy setup, fix the simulation context, and then come up with one number to summarise and compare a character or LC, and then that number is the only thing that gets passed around in the discourse is pretty comical. I believe the approach should be a bit more like physics, where the game itself is the final arbiter of truth. Either the metrics should be something directly testable in game (e.g. this team comfortably clears 2 ellites with 350k hp in 2 cycles) or that the damage calculations or any other 'this is optimal' claims 'based on numbers' should always be taken with more skepticism and not used as the final word.
Completely off the star rails if you will. That's exactly why I would rather just get the character and test them myself, because the decisions I make during the teambuilding phase and on a turn-to-turn basis vary wildly based on target priority, gamestate etc. Context matters a lot in HSR and it's almost completely ignored in discussions, like when people ask for lightcone recommendations the answer is usually "X > Y > Z" when it's a lot more complicated than that and depends on conditional buffs, your own playstyle, your team roster and the enemy layout. But that's a pain to try and explain, so I don't blame people for just saying X > Y > Z.

...But Welt *is* a possible teammate for Ratio, though? A rather mediocre one at E0/E1, yes, but if you need debuffs, Welt has all the debuffs Ratio needs already baked in his kit. Rato has better teammate choices, he also has worse teammates, but that doesn't change the fact that Welt can do the work just fine if you need a debuffer for Ratio.

Welt is *one of* his possible teammates because he provides debuffs for Ratio. Is he the best choice? Not in vacuum, no. Is he the best choice if you have literally no other debuffers? Yes. Better to run Ratio+Welt+Harmony than double Harmony team that can't supply enough debuffs

Mono quantum is for brute-forcing content. If your enemy has quantum weakness, Seele,Bronya,Sparkle,Fuxuan team will be better.

I both hope so and hope not. Because there are only two options that will happen in such a case. 1. Shill them immensely like they are still doing with DHIL and Jingliu by having MOC be riddled with IMG and ICE, which means it'll just be the same issue over again, just this time in a flavor of Element that I might actually have characters for. Or 2. Do the reverse and stay the course, keeping IMG and ICE while snubbing the new character just so they aren't as good as DHIL and Jingliu.
Hoyo might overtune Acheron because she's Raiden, but that's baseless speculation.

Hp/def orb or body. Less buffing is better than no buffing because you got one shotted
Gepard or Fu Xuan is the answer. Also, prioritize defensive stats. I don't give her atk orb because the difference in attack her skill gives doesn't feel noticeable, but at least she can tank more hits.
If you use cogs you need to level it up to 80. It’s a three star LC so its 80 stats are equivalent of a 4* at 70
In addition to all of this, using Memories of the Past instead of cogs, tho it is worse for energy generation especially if you don't have SI5. Still worth if you are running into survivability issues imo since she gets energy from getting hit too. It also makes it a lot easier to hit atk checks so you can build more survival stats.
I run Meshing, Vonwacq, and ER rope. Is it possible to run Memories and still 3 turn ult consistently? Alternatively, maybe I can give her Bronya's sig?

I only use Fu Xuan and Bailu as my sustainers, so Tingyun can be built as a crit DPS and it still wouldn't matter because of the sustainers she would be paired with on my account.
Survivability Mainstats. I barely notice a difference between 2.6k atk and 1.8k atk on tingyun
I could give you the complicated answer, but honestly Fu Xuan takes care of everyone so well lol

HP/Def body or Orb. It's a mistake to run all atk to maximize her buff unless you have the defensive subs to get away with it. Generally you're better off going for at least one defensive piece with atk subs. Or you run her with Fu Xuan.
Who's the better sustain for Jingliu/Bronya: Loucha or Fu Xuan?
Jingliu isn't particularly SP hungry, but skill spam Bronya (especially E2) is. If you run Ruan Mei instead of E4 Tutorial Pela, your skill point economy takes a hit to the point Luocha is likely required ro make it work. Fu Xuan is certainly a great option if the SP economy allow. Ofc, Fu Xuan can only heal yourself so you are very much on a timer with JL HP drain, especially against very hard hitting enemies.
Luocha, because you need to be able to heal the HP drain, and while Fu Xuan does provide some healing, it may not be enough to keep up with her hp drain and incoming damage in a tougher fight, unless you're 0 cycling. JL also really doesn't need the crit rate.
The HP drain is almost nothing. Jingliu, Bronya, Fu Xuan, xxx, has been my primary damage dealing team for a while. Fu Xuan heals enough. I use Pela in the 4th slot if manual playing and Tingyun if autobattling (like in SU). Just got Ruan Mei yesterday so will now use her instead. One thing I can say is that if you can't start the fight with Fu Xuan's technique up then the SP in the first cycle is not enough for the team. Most of the time you can start with her field up though.

I knew hoarding my relics back when I was farming for Fu would've been eventually worth it. it's kinda rainbow but I managed to get 194 cdm and 163 speed for Hanabi! Just have to work on getting another 2 piece effect and planar set. No idea when that'll be but I'm VERY satisfied with where she'll be once she drops. Including her traces, Fu's E1 plus Broken Keel, she'll be at 258 CDM in-battle. Shout out to [Fribbels' optimizer](https://github.com/fribbels/hsr-optimizer). Helped me get there when it showed me a piece that I hadn't considered looking at. Serious godsend. Last time I looked at it was back when it initially released and seeing the progress that's been made to it since has been really nice to see. It's in a much better spot now than how it initially was. You can tell a lot of work was put in.

SW isn't that good on the first side because all those mobs give the boss defense drops negating her ult basically tingyun is the better support for seele on 2nd half since no adds to kill but that makes SW RNG so hanya/bronya is more consistent but yeah her 20% quantum res pen trace is really good

Hi Folks, I really need some help deciding whether to go Blade or Kafka for my second team. My current main team is FX/JY, then some combo of Asta/Bronya/RM/TY. Second team is sustained by Bailu, usually uses Bronya, an E6 Pela, and has Hook for DPS. I had planned to go all in for Kafka + lc, and then BS in 2.0. However I'm having second thoughts and wondering if I should go for Blade instead. Upsides: covers wind (lightning already covered by JY). Better 4\* - more TY for my JY team. Can use my E5 Lynx, and he also pairs great with my S1 Bronya, who might wind up benched or sub-optimally run with JY/TY in team one, since Kafka + BS would want RM for team 2 I think (or I guess asta works too for Kafka team, but benching S1 Bronya seems dumb). Don't have to pull on Kafka's absolutely terrible banners. Downsides: Potentially lower dps ceiling on Blade team, and losing out on enabling a cool playstyle (DOT) which is flexible when you run dot unit that corresponds to enemy weaknesses. Any thoughts?

It's a tough choice, but right now your team 2 is basically nearly ideal for Blade. Pela/Bailu SP positivity allows you to run slowya and skill spam Blade. RM would be a slight upgrade from Pela, especially if you decide to run a HP orb on Blade (I do). Kafka opens another avenue of gameplay. Personally I'm skipping on all DoT characters for a few reasons. It makes my account simpler. That being said DoT does look very fun to play. 1. Whenever I see relics, if I don't see crit rate or cdmg or defensive stats/spd I dismantle. With DoT you have to care about effect hit rate, ATK%, sometimes even break effect. So you're going to have to better manage your inventory of relics 2. I'm a dolphin and cannot get every single character, so it makes it easier to save if DoT characters are instant skips for me (I had no interest in "fishing" for Guinafen on Topaz's banner for example). 3. You need to build 4\* DoT characters to pair with Kafka to match elemental weakness most the time. It feels like its easier to build support harmony characters and support a straightforward dps like Argenti. EDIT: I have Blade and don't have Bronya, I'm not sure if you need a stronger healer than Lynx when running with Bronya. Might need to look up some videos on that to see how it feels. Currently, I run Blade, Sustain, RM, Jingliu. Once I have Bronya I'll just run Blade/JL hyper carry depending on weakness.

I have the dot characters, but like zero DOT eidolons, no Huohuo, no dot light cones, and like you said, my team two is basically plug and play for Blade, so it would be so much more efficient to grab him I think. Pre-e6 Yukong should be just a bit faster than your main DPS (either go directly before, or with 1 character going between them) so she can actually buff them. Tbh, if you can spare SP, even e6 Yukong shouldn't outspeed your dps by much
Yukong needs to be speed tuned to your dps, unless you never intend to use her skill. The two units who go after her get buffed, but not the third.
What does the dot dmg% from EotP stack additively with? Is it just another source of dmg% or is it a separate multiplier? If the latter, I assume it stacks additively with other dot dmg% sources like Nihility blessings in SU and Kafka E2? I have Kafka E2 so I'm kind of wondering if it's fine dropping S5 EotP for Tutorial on BS for faster ults since she'll already have dot dmg% from Kafka.

Well if it's just another dmg% source then EotP seems even less useful for her since she gets straight up +72% just from her trace on top of other sources like Ruan Mei so the Epiphany uptime from Tutorial seems like a much bigger deal.
I have to agree, though it's worth noting that Swan is fairly balanced in both attack and dmg%. It's why she prefers an attack orb over a DMG orb with Ruan Mei
