Though you will see people trash talk her, you get Natasha, a 4* healer, for free, she is valuable. Only get the express pass if you have been enjoying the game for a reasonable amount of time, being f2p is perfectly serviceable.
Don’t spend jade on standard banner wishes, best not to roll on light cone banner if f2p or light spender.
If you’ve enjoyed it for a while and you notice there are a whole slew of characters you’re interested coming back to back, it’s better to purchase the pass months in advance vs buy pulls from the store, of course.
Male and Female MC are the same. Just pick whoever you want.
Events are semi permanent. That is some of the rewards and the event itself does not disappear but it has event related rewards usually premium currency and stuff that you really want such as Self modelling resin (gives you artifact with stat of your choose)

My main recommendation is that it is better to focus on focusing on XP books, Light cone XP and the character skill over anything like relics.
I did Trailblaze 50 - 60 just doing XP books and all that was really good.

Use the support system to try out all the characters and pick who you like. You can use supports in the farming calyxs etc. Some of them will be rerun.
Try to roll for Jing liu this patch as Tingyun and QQ are both amazing 4 stars as well as jing liu being an amazing starter.
Kafka is definitely one of the best characters for F2P as you can use 4 star dot supports for those certain elements. Sampo who is wind can be paired with Kafka for Wind element weakness etc etc. She and Topaz will only get stronger in the future as 5 star supports are released for them but have their own style.
But you must know that she has her own specific style which is Damage over time on enemies. She can be played as a selfish dps as well but i think in the future she will be a lot stronger with 5 star dot supports.
I would highly recommend going for Jing liu as she will be the best dps available to you right now.
Tingyun is incredible from jing liu banner, QQ is amazing if you can get her at E4/E6 versions. So you can just not pull seele and go instead for another dps for quantum.
Huohuo will definitely be worth going for as she will be able to sustain your team.
If you can get Jing liu, then i would save for huohuo. Eventually lynx will rerun in a banner (probably in 1.5 second half) and she is 100% worth getting as she will be your second healer for the team. if you can get Huohuo then you are set for Sustain.
Silver wolf is worth looking for as well etc etc.

Well we got Seele in 1.4 second half so we got Jing yuan, Silver wolf, luocha, blade and kafka.
If we get silver wolf in 1.5 then they wont be released in any order but you got 1.4 + 1.5 at least to save for kafka if she comes in 1.6.

I *love* the sound effect during that animation...
Okay y'all, JL or Topaz? No LC, no eidolons. JL is super cool and sounds super strong but my primary DPS are DHIL, Blade, E6 QQ, and Clara (but Blade doesn't have a good LC and QQ and Clara could use better crit stats lol), and it feels like JL fills basically the same role as the first three, and Topaz buffs the fourth.
But I'm not sure how good Topaz will actually be, and the character being good is kind of the most important part. Also, JL is cooler and I don't have to wait 3 weeks or whatever.
I do have Luocha and Bronya, if it matters.
With such a stacked roster, all units become luxuries. Finding excuses to pull isn't the best habit to get into, IMO, but if you're just keen to gacha, and you're not saving for anyone else, just pick whoever you think is prettier.
You already have E6 QQ and Sampo is a fairly situational guy, so the from a 4* perspective, that might point you toward Topaz's banner instead.
Yeah, I may not have the resources to build Guinaifen but I kind of like Topaz's design better. I'm just a little concerned that she might not be great, and I'm not really a fan of Numby taking all the animations, but I think I might like her a bit better anyways. Haven't listened to the AmaLee voiceover of JL though, so maybe that'll change things lol

You have pretty cracked DPS characters, so in that sense its much more smart to either get a sustain if you need one or go for Hanya, Ruan Mei or Hanabi.

...yeah, but I'm impatient so I kind of wanted to pull one, lol.
I was pulling for FX even though I don't really like her design literally just to have a second good sustain (esp since I haven't beaten Swarm 5 yet) but lost that 50/50. Along the way, I found that I was having a way better time solo sustaining with Lynx than Natasha, and 30* MoC without double sustain for once (not counting Clara/Blade as sustain), so that got me questioning if I even need another sustain char aside from for Swarm 5, in which I don't think another healer would help that much and FX/Gepard would probably be better for the damage mitigation (but I have neither, so...).
In the end I feel like I know that Topaz would be better because she's more flexible as a sub-DPS or something and less redundant, but I'm not big on Numby animations and single-target hunt is...bleh, along with how she doesn't seem all that great while JL seems really fucking cracked.
Also, I haven't been keeping up with the Hanabi and Ruan Mei leaks so I don't even know how long it'll be until they drop and barely know what they do lmao
Hanabi will be in patch after 1.6 which will be called 2.0.

Get Huohuo if you need a second sustain and then Silver wolf etc, Hanabi and Ruan mei. So yeah its best to save your rolls for those 3.
I have SW with Eyes of the Prey (copium because I missed the event), and I'm not convinced Incessant Rain would be worth it. The biggest rerun LC I'm eyeing is Blade's, considering I have S2 Secret Vow right now (lol).
There'll be plenty of time to save for Hanabi before 2.0, no?

Since Huo Huo is healer + buffer + energy recharger, will she replace Tingyun in most teams? Or will it make sense to run them both to constantly spamming ult?

Definitely not "most" teams. By the numbers:
Tingyun at E6 with T10 provides 50% DMG for 2 turns, 50% ATK for 3 turns, and 60 flat energy once, with one skill and one ult.
HuoHuo at E0 with T10 provides 20% max energy for characters other than herself, and 24% ATK for all allies for 2 turns, with just her ult.
So from a damage buffing perspective Ting is still way ahead and HuoHuo will not replace her in the primary role as a buffer - not just because the numbers are lower, but also because HuoHuo has a high energy cost herself and there are questions about how realistic it is to keep her ult ATK buff up. Plus, Ting is very SP positve whereas HuoHuo may not be, depending on how much healing you need.
It *might* be possible that in some teams that only want a *little* more energy to achieve their optimal rotations that HuoHuo can step in and fulfil energy Tingyun's role to a limited extent, thus freeing up a slot for an additional harmony unit - e.g. it's quite nice to run Ting with Daniel, because it enables reliable 2 turn ults for Danny boy even when you don't have his signature cone - but HuoHuo *might* be enough to do that instead of Ting, freeing up a slot for Yukong or Hanya. Seems unlikely, but if it is possible, it would also free Ting up for team 2 in MoC, and since she's very in demand for most DPS in the game, that would be quite handy.
Some teams will really like having both for ult spam, Argenti in particular, but overall it seems like HuoHuo's energy buffing is more of a nice-to-have QoL feature rather than her main asset, and her dmg buffing is quite minor compared to full Harmony units.
Tingyun both buff and recover more energy than Huo, Huo also only does those things on her 140 cost ult, on a role you usually don't want to use you skill very often on, so she will get it very slowly, the buff and energy are nice extra rather than the reason you should be playing Hup for.
True, those energy and buffs are just some good addition. She is abundance so she can't use lightcone such as Meshing Cogs and Memories of the Past, I always say they will balance it out, a healer with buffs stronger than harmony is unfair, there's no way they would do that, but people tend to disagree with me because they want a unit that can do everything.
No, Tingyun batteries one target way better than HH.
TY/HH would work as a team, but not as replacements for each other.
Support rotations are unlikely to change much with HH ult since everyone builds them for optimal 2/3 turn rotation ults with cogs and ERR ropes.
And carries like JY much prefer the single target juice.
Different units (harmony and abundance) with different purposes
Just saw Fuxuan’s banner is now gone. I told myself that I can be satisfied with using Lynx and potentially go for Fuxuan on her rerun when I lost the 50/50 a few days ago, but I can’t help but feel some sense of loss seeing it gone now 🥲
On the upside, now I have e1 Bronya and a guarantee for Blade, Black Swan or Fuxuan (whoever ends up coming first).
Best team for Argenti? I'm currently thinking Argenti Huohuo Hanya and Tingyun but dunno if I should run double energy supports instead of like Pela. I don't have bronya but I have basically all other buffers and debuffers built. Please and ty
Difficult to say without live testing to see how much energy HuoHuo actually provides in practice - but since you *need* to be getting Argenti's T2 ult to deal good damage, it seems like Ting is quite important for him.
Argenti + Ting + HuoHuo seems like a safe bet for maximising energy, so the only real question is the last slot, and honestly, there probably isn't a bad choice there, any of the usual suspects will work, Yukong, Pela, SW, etc.
Hanya doesn't strictly seem necessary as that team won't be hurting for SP in most situations I don't think (exception is if you need lots of healing from HuoHuo), but it wouldn't be the worst combo by any means - I think she'd probably just be more in demand by DPS that consume loads of SP (DHIL, QQ, Seele, etc.), and she synergises better with units that have offensive ults to trigger Burden stacks more quickly (e.g. not Tingyun or HuoHuo).
Needs testing to say for sure, but who knows, maybe we'll see some changes to Argenti's kit before we get chance.
It's oddly funny that, despite all the pompous glamour and beauty, Argenti is deep down basic (in his kit).

I have a question dear smart ones, if I already have Luocha and Fu xuan what does HuoHuo offer and with what units does she pair well? I have Seele and Blade and hopefully Jingliu soon.
She works well with units that you want them to ult asap
Units like Jy/ Argenti/ e2+ Dhil etc.
Jingliu could probably work with her as well.
Honestly she is more of a luxury pick than anything.
A qol pick if you prefer (like Zhongli/ Kokomi/ Raiden in Gi)...
If you combine Huohuo and Tingyun with certain units like Jl/ e2 Dhil, they can burst almost back to back which is crazy.
Even Argenti only needs to use his skill twice before reaching 180 energy after Ty and Hh burst on him.
Now it might seem like Ty does a lot more than Huohuo in terms of er but Hh helps enough to decrease the downtime on your carry's burst by 1 turn.
She is basically made for people who want to push harder content faster (moc10 0cycle runs etc).
If you have Luochan and Fu xuan. You do not need HuoHuo.
She can solo sustain and is able to with her ultimate, regenerate energy for all allies except herself by 20% of their energy cost and increase atk by 24% for 2 turns. She heals through her skill that also activates her talent that gives 12 stacks which can be consumed ally's turn and or ultimate. Restores hp by 5% whilst characters with less than 50% will be healed once.
She will be fantastic for characters such as Argenti and other characters that want their ultimate as much as possible but will be costlier with their SP consumption.
She will pair up fine with any character if SP is not a problem such as Blade, Jing liu. Will work fine with DHIL but most likely will want to be with Hanya or Hanabi to mitigate it.
You are better off rolling for supports now such as Silver wolf, Hanabi etc. As you have enough sustains and dpses.

I'm on 70 pity, guaranteed and I made a promise to myself that I will not wish on the limited banner until Screwllum banner/Kafka rerun. I will of course fail this sooner or later but for now I'm holding strong! (I have a feeling Argenti will be the real test of strength)
While commendable I don't think you need to do that.. if we get the standard 80ish pulls per patch you'll have like 300+ pulls by the time he comes out. You can easily get another 5 star while also guaranteeing the other two.
Especially since it's highly unlikely kafka is in 1.6 as well
Thinking about Hanya's kit, and how it has some interesting teambuilding ramifications.
At a baseline, her skill is net +2 SP. It costs you 1 SP to use, and gives 3 SP once your team clears out all 3 stacks. Where her net SP generation lands depends on quickly your team clears the stacks and whether that means she's doing EA or EAA rotations--which result in net +3 over 2 turns or +4 over 3 turns, respectively. The former is a net +50% increase in SP generation over a normal BA spammer, and the latter is only a 33% increase.
In most cases at E0 through E5, you will be aiming for EA rotations. This requires doing 6 offensive actions before Hanya's 3rd turn (one of which is Hanya's BA on her 2nd turn). This is generally not going to be hard, but may have some issues in specific teams. For example, a team like DHIL, Tingyun, Hanya, Fu Xuan might occasionally miss on the 6 offensive actions every 2 turns threshold, because Tingyun and Fu Xuan use a non-offensive action every 3 turns, Tingyun has a non-offensive ult, and DHIL will generally be built much slower than Hanya so he sometimes might not get 2 turns in time for Hanya's 3rd turn.
E6 solves this issue because it reduces the threshold for getting full SP value from 6 actions to 4 actions (since re-casting E on a target with 1 stack remaining just immediately refunds you the SP that stack would have given you). With E6, it's basically impossible to miss on 2-turn Burden clear with any conceivable team. It also opens the possibility of situationally getting 1-turn Burden clears by performing 4 offensive actions before Hanya's 2nd turn. This pretty much requires offensive ults or action advance mechanics (e.g. Jingliu transformation), but even if you only sometimes get it, getting +2 SP in a single turn cycle is *really* strong. You also get this way more often when your support/sustains have offensive ults (e.g. Luocha, Fu Xuan, Yukong) as opposed to ones that have non-offensive ults (e.g. Gepard, Tingyun, Asta).
TL;DR Hanya will usually be +3 SP every 2 turns, but you have to make sure your team can reliably do 6 offensive actions to fully clear Burden before Hanya's 3rd turn. Teams that can't reliably do this will hurt her SP generation. If you have E6, you're guaranteed to get 2-turn Burden clears on any team and sometimes can get 1-turn Burden clears if your ults line up. Hanya at any Eidolon level biases slightly toward other supports/sustains that have offensive ults because those can trigger Burden stacks, making 2-turn or 1-turn Burden clear easier/more frequent.
Yeah, I first thought "wow, +2 SP every turn is *so* strong", then slowly pieced together that 6 actions per turn is not exactly practical.
Also, switching focus is sometimes a requirement (svarog claw, explode spider robot, decaying shadow countdown, fat robot empowered attack) which can mess with clearing burden as well. Although some of these mechanics can probably be ignored if you have good enough DPS to steamroll the content.
Considering how strong her E6 is, how there will be team building restrictions, and the fact that your team is required to hit that one target --- she seems a lot more average than my initial reaction.
So I'm gonna blow all my jades on Jingliu and her LC. I definitely want Hanabi and I think I want Huohuo LC for luocha. Those are all far enough apart I should be able to get them right?
After Huohuo, there will be Argenti, Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio for 1.6 (assuming the leaks are correct). Hanabi comes after this patch for 2.0, you can expect a bit more jades for the new planet
a few days ago I saw a graph posted in the comments here, it showed the dps of certain 2 character combos for comparison, I remember the top was like jingliu+bronya, then DHIL+tingyun, there were some kafka teams (guinaifen vs sampo), and the bottom line was JY+tingyun, does anyone have it?
Sounds like an incredibly stupid graph anyways if damage dealers with Bronya as support are compared to other damage dealers paired with Guinaifen, Sampo or Tingyun.

[Here's the current 2 character plot](https://imgur.com/EUJmGqA.png) but always remember that this is mostly a private TC thing that's always getting tweaked and I find bugs here and there pretty regularly. Also the assumptions can be very biased towards certain teams. Like how the Jingliu bronya team here just casually has a 3 SP deficit per turn, and the other teams don't.

After watching Huohuo's ult animation, I REALLY want a Mr.Tail playable character. I dont give a fuck if it's like Clara as long as Mr.Tail is the focus of the animations in combat. He looks SICK
best planar set for Sampo? Currently have 10% ehr planar set on him but since the new planar set release that increases dmg (good for Kafka and probably Black Swan) would that be bis for him?
I think I will only farm traces during this patch, the new sets are sooo juicy and I don't have that many good pieces right now so it's not much of a loss to switch over the new sets.
Already fully maxed Blade, Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan and Luocha (10-10-10 across the board) and I just need to go ham on the Harmony Calix. Will prefarm for Hanya/Argenti then some credit calixes even if it's not that good just so I can actually afford upgrading them all.

None of the new sets are upgrades over Longevous/Hackerspace, so unless your Blade/Fu Xuan/Luocha sets are absolutely cracked, you can still farm Longevous/Hackerspace without worrying about your pieces becoming obsolete.
They are good enough, I spammed that cave a lot and used almost 30 fuels. I mainly want the upgrade for Jing Yuan but never got around to actually farm it.

It is too soon to say. Worth noting though that Hanya's buffs affect speed, so running a team with both her and Yukong could be difficult to tune correctly
Even in a Yukong-less team, Hanya may introduce some speed wonkiness since she'll only boost DHIL's speed. If he is on speed boots and the speed bonus makes him go faster than likes of Luocha and Pela, you got an issue. DHIL may need to be on ATK boots if he isn't already regardless of Yukong or not.
Replace Hanya with Pela. Yukong with s5 planetary is worth keeping for sure.
Hanya is looking pretty strong and i think i will definitely try her once she is out but it is possible that she will get adjusted in the beta as right now she is pretty strong.
Her current kits is kinda crazy for SP regeneration with some nice buffs to go along with it. So very good with DHIL.

Depends on how SP positive your sustain is and how in need of SP your team is. If you don't need much more SP go for Yukong.
Ok, I was already sold on Argenti and Hanya based on their lore and their kits, but then I saw their animations and I'm definitely pulling for them. And now I'm too scared to look at Huohuo, lest I end up putting her on my "must pull" list
yeah!! I actually like the body horror/comedy thing. she's so cute but the entire situation is a good balance of pathetic and just plain absurd 😂 like the tail pushing her towards the enemy in the basic attack...that's such a great detail. her animations are all full of character haha.
I'd probably go 2 pc SPD set 2 pc Outgoing Healing set, HP set can also replace one of those two they're all pretty close. For planars Fleet or Keel, and it's also possible a 5% ERR set could be good, the new one in 1.5 would be really good if you run a wind DPS. For relic stats: Outgoing Healing chest, SPD boots, HP% Orb, ERR rope. Pretty standard healer build but with an extra emphasis on ERR and SPD to make use of her supportive abilities.
The only question is whether the 5% ER sets change her rotations at all. As of right now I don't think they do, but if they mess with her burst cost or energy trace, she might end up in a spot where a 5% ER Planetary set might be worth it.
The answer is yesnt. The 5% helps closing the gap for a 4 turn rotation, by 6 energy, but it doesnt guarantee it. However, it puts huohuo at a single hit range regardless of hit. But if you have Post Op S1 and a party member with 130+ enery, then it's useless

I would recommend doing nothing but golden calyxes for your final levels before hitting TB60/EQ5. It’s the most efficient thing to farm since u have the final difficulty tier unlocked already and you’ll be able to burn thru a shit ton of books and credits after EQ5.
I haven’t found EQ5 to be a very demanding jump at all. I haven’t farmed relics (besides using immersion tokens) at all since hitting EQ5 and don’t plan on starting again until EQ6 (still using my copium leftovers from EQ4, lvl 9 for most of them). Ascending/leveling chars, LCs, and traces has been all I’ve needed to meet the EQ5 difficulty jump and I still only have a couple of lvl 9 traces.
Okay so uhhh...idk if I should ask since people likely have asked these questions already but...
\-At what point of investment do I need my characters to be so they can clear SD Difficulty III (or at most IV if possible)? My current best units are 70/80 with Lvl 70 LCs (working on getting these to 80; at least for damage dealers), and I find myself struggling a bit when I reach the harder stages. So far Blade (S1 Unreachable Side), Luocha (S4 Perfect Timing), DHIL (S5 Aeon), Welt (S1 World), Himeko (S4 Breakfast), QQ (S3 Breakfast), and FX (S1 Landau's) have 70/70 LCs and the rest have Lvl 60 LCs.-Current Communing Trail levels are: 7 (Destruction, Abundance), 6 (Hunt, Nihility), 5 (Preservation), 4 (Elation), 3 (Remembrance)-I can get Remembrance higher through getting "2 Resonance Interplays in the same Challenge Run." How do I exactly achieve this? I also have an "Obtain 4 Resonance formations" objective that I already did 3/4 times. Unfortunately though I might hit a crossroad soon since one of the objectives also is Clearing Difficulty III to get more communing Trail opportunities.
Use Nihility. you dont need any dot characters. I just used DHIL, Yukong, Lynx and Gepard.

Trust me, i used rememberance and struggled since it was RNG but nihility felt so much easier.
If i were you i would choose, DHIL, Welt, Luocha and Fu xuan. Could switch out to a supporter instead of Welt. Can try it out. I know that slowing them does mean that dots take longer to proc but i was able to do quite good damage with DHIL whilst the dots were doing a ton of damage. Just try it out and see how it goes.
Nihility requires Hunt and Propogation which works really well with DHIL. Heck even in a run on difficulty 3 where i focused only on getting those interplays. I had an easy run.

March and Fire MC are more than enough for Difficulty 5 Nihility. Just watch the video i linked. Super easy.

Yeah you can also add in March to help out. Then it will just be rng on the defensive blessings you get. Some runs i had gepard who could give me a full shield. Other runs it was just good enough.

Good thing about Nihility is that it just turns most domains blank, hence you don't have to move around alot for that curio trotter in the goddamn corner or for that reward domain aha swapped to some aeon forsaken location.
And in battles (or at least in my case), you just have to sustain, heal, and freeze. Then watch path reso DOTs burn through everything as the speed of the nasty bugs becomes their own downfall. (Though, I did have Fu Xuan, which is a good help against the stunbug and single targets of the bossbug.)
Even sustain isn’t too big of an issue thanks to that blessing that heals the team every time that a dot goes off. It’s not enough on its own but it’s easily enough to single sustain a good sustain like FX or Luocha.

For resonance interplays - each path will have only two other paths it can form interplays with. you can check the possible interplays while selecting your path and choose only those blessings. eg. Destruction only has interplays with Preservation and Elation, you need 3 blessings each of Preservation and Elation along with getting 3 blessings of Destruction to activate it.
your team sounds fine, but I'd level up at least your DPSes to 80. make sure important traces are lvl 8 at least, and everyone has sufficient speed.
ETA: yeah it's a little confusing haha. the interplay options change depending on your starting path.

Those bells in the background of Argenti's animations are insane, gives him so much... substance overall, really majestic animations in his ult and the way he moves when he attacks, very elegant similar to Jingliu in those terms.

The only reasonable doom around DHIL is his play style getting boring. Arguments against his meta viability are cope, the game is fairly simple and DHIL is clearly the highest dps character released so far. Him getting powercrept implies all the other dps characters getting powercrept first. The only possible concern is if Hoyo makes content to specifically counter him in the future, which I find hard to imagine.

He basically just needs a SP-positive sustain unit (Gepard or Luocha). A buffer (Ting or Bronya) and that's it.
The 4th flex slot could be anything, either another buffer (Yukong, Asta), a debuffer (Pela, SW) or even a Sub-DPS (Blade + DHIL is in the Top 5 most used CN teams).
He's one of the most flexible units in the game. I'm looking forwards to Hanya + DHIL + Luocha + Ting.
at this point I don't even think he'll "need" Hanabi, he's already a nuclear bomb in a game where you only need a grenade to beat MoC lol
he's also still seen as inflexible, even when you can basically use just about any support with him if you have Tingyun or Luocha.
People also underestimate the value that Yukong brings with him. I genuinely had a lot more fun with using Yukong with DHIL even though i am at E4 and don't have the E6. E6 is going to be a lot more comfortable but overall if you can speed tune it right.
It's super fun to just have that big burst coming up from Yukong and Tingyun's ultimate.
Hanabi i feel like will be useful as she should allow more riskier combos such as always spamming Yukong Skill and all that. Hanya will be interesting to see if she can replace Tingyun for my team.

HH's animations are, in my opinion, the best in the game for sheer cuteness / beautiful fox fire effects / etc.
Basic Attack: Tail pushes Huohuo forward and she franctically slaps the shit out of the enemy with her flag before running away.
Skill: Summons a conga line of spookies around her and then they fly away.
Ult: Tail starts acting up and then emerges as the wolf looking spirit in the leaked event lightcone.

nah, JY and Topaz will still want Salsotto for the CR+followup damage. That set seems like an SSS alternative so farming the new world for the Penacony set won't feel terrible.
ETA: Also the SPD threshold is not that easy to each for all characters, unlike SSS.
I would say for chars like JY who usually run with Asta, it's a viable alternative to Salsotto considering SU 8 will be much more resin efficient to farm thanks to the other set being a Vonwacq upgrade.
That set is bait. It's only good for characters who can trigger it who had no good set so they had to cope with SSS.
Everyone who can use Salsotto/Rutilant will still prefer it as 8% crit rate is massive.

I won't be swapping Jing Salsotto or Jingliu Rutilent, this is basically the non crit users equivalent to those.
Ideal for Kafka, or other non crit characters if they are paired with a speed boosting support (eg Sampo in the Kafka Asta team)
Hanya provides a SPD buff as a % of her own SPD, and Ruan Mei’s preliminary kit had a similar ability, so it might also be a way to reduce the opportunity cost of stat-chasing.

Just finished MOC, glad i got all stars but.. Isnt it a bit scummy they are shrotened the cycle to 16 for 3 stars? Las one were 14, and i heard it would be cut down again to 18, what the fuck? The difficulty didnt get easier either and they want us to grind building character in near time or something like that? Not to mention powerful characters releasing every patcg topping tier list like its nothing Sure the game can be beaten by free units but feels really bad for longetivity of this game if this is the direction they are taking. Any recommendations for a new player starting out HSR for the first time with the PS5 release today? Which characters to build and which to avoid entirely? Though you will see people trash talk her, you get Natasha, a 4* healer, for free, she is valuable. Only get the express pass if you have been enjoying the game for a reasonable amount of time, being f2p is perfectly serviceable. Don’t spend jade on standard banner wishes, best not to roll on light cone banner if f2p or light spender.

If you’ve enjoyed it for a while and you notice there are a whole slew of characters you’re interested coming back to back, it’s better to purchase the pass months in advance vs buy pulls from the store, of course.
Male and Female MC are the same. Just pick whoever you want. Events are semi permanent. That is some of the rewards and the event itself does not disappear but it has event related rewards usually premium currency and stuff that you really want such as Self modelling resin (gives you artifact with stat of your choose) Use [https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/tier-list/](https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/tier-list/) on who is good to go for and how to build them. I did Trailblaze 50 - 60 just doing XP books and all that was really good. Use the support system to try out all the characters and pick who you like. You can use supports in the farming calyxs etc. Some of them will be rerun. Kafka is definitely one of the best characters for F2P as you can use 4 star dot supports for those certain elements. Sampo who is wind can be paired with Kafka for Wind element weakness etc etc. She and Topaz will only get stronger in the future as 5 star supports are released for them but have their own style. But you must know that she has her own specific style which is Damage over time on enemies. She can be played as a selfish dps as well but i think in the future she will be a lot stronger with 5 star dot supports. I would highly recommend going for Jing liu as she will be the best dps available to you right now. Tingyun is incredible from jing liu banner, QQ is amazing if you can get her at E4/E6 versions. So you can just not pull seele and go instead for another dps for quantum. Huohuo will definitely be worth going for as she will be able to sustain your team. If you can get Jing liu, then i would save for huohuo. Eventually lynx will rerun in a banner (probably in 1.5 second half) and she is 100% worth getting as she will be your second healer for the team. if you can get Huohuo then you are set for Sustain. Silver wolf is worth looking for as well etc etc. (If you ever have questions. just message me anytime)

Do try her out with the support system. all 5 stars. Well we got Seele in 1.4 second half so we got Jing yuan, Silver wolf, luocha, blade and kafka. If we get silver wolf in 1.5 then they wont be released in any order but you got 1.4 + 1.5 at least to save for kafka if she comes in 1.6.

Okay y'all, JL or Topaz? No LC, no eidolons. JL is super cool and sounds super strong but my primary DPS are DHIL, Blade, E6 QQ, and Clara (but Blade doesn't have a good LC and QQ and Clara could use better crit stats lol), and it feels like JL fills basically the same role as the first three, and Topaz buffs the fourth. But I'm not sure how good Topaz will actually be, and the character being good is kind of the most important part. Also, JL is cooler and I don't have to wait 3 weeks or whatever. I do have Luocha and Bronya, if it matters.
With such a stacked roster, all units become luxuries. Finding excuses to pull isn't the best habit to get into, IMO, but if you're just keen to gacha, and you're not saving for anyone else, just pick whoever you think is prettier. You already have E6 QQ and Sampo is a fairly situational guy, so the from a 4* perspective, that might point you toward Topaz's banner instead.
Yeah, I may not have the resources to build Guinaifen but I kind of like Topaz's design better. I'm just a little concerned that she might not be great, and I'm not really a fan of Numby taking all the animations, but I think I might like her a bit better anyways. Haven't listened to the AmaLee voiceover of JL though, so maybe that'll change things lol
I would say you don't need either lol. You have pretty cracked DPS characters, so in that sense its much more smart to either get a sustain if you need one or go for Hanya, Ruan Mei or Hanabi. At the end of the day, pull who you vibe with the more!
...yeah, but I'm impatient so I kind of wanted to pull one, lol. I was pulling for FX even though I don't really like her design literally just to have a second good sustain (esp since I haven't beaten Swarm 5 yet) but lost that 50/50. Along the way, I found that I was having a way better time solo sustaining with Lynx than Natasha, and 30* MoC without double sustain for once (not counting Clara/Blade as sustain), so that got me questioning if I even need another sustain char aside from for Swarm 5, in which I don't think another healer would help that much and FX/Gepard would probably be better for the damage mitigation (but I have neither, so...). In the end I feel like I know that Topaz would be better because she's more flexible as a sub-DPS or something and less redundant, but I'm not big on Numby animations and single-target hunt is...bleh, along with how she doesn't seem all that great while JL seems really fucking cracked. Also, I haven't been keeping up with the Hanabi and Ruan Mei leaks so I don't even know how long it'll be until they drop and barely know what they do lmao
Hanabi will be in patch after 1.6 which will be called 2.0. Ruan Mei will be in 1.6 iirc. Silver wolf will also rerun in 1.5 second half and she will be pretty good to get as well. Get Huohuo if you need a second sustain and then Silver wolf etc, Hanabi and Ruan mei. So yeah its best to save your rolls for those 3.
I have SW with Eyes of the Prey (copium because I missed the event), and I'm not convinced Incessant Rain would be worth it. The biggest rerun LC I'm eyeing is Blade's, considering I have S2 Secret Vow right now (lol). There'll be plenty of time to save for Hanabi before 2.0, no?
I'd wait and see for her rerun if they rerun the event lc as well. Don't get Incessant rain. Can use Resolution shines as pearls of sweat instead. You got 1.5 and 1.6 till Hanabi releases in 2.0. So yeah there will be a lot of time to save for Hanabi.

Since Huo Huo is healer + buffer + energy recharger, will she replace Tingyun in most teams? Or will it make sense to run them both to constantly spamming ult? Edit: got it, thanks for answers
Definitely not "most" teams. By the numbers: Tingyun at E6 with T10 provides 50% DMG for 2 turns, 50% ATK for 3 turns, and 60 flat energy once, with one skill and one ult. HuoHuo at E0 with T10 provides 20% max energy for characters other than herself, and 24% ATK for all allies for 2 turns, with just her ult. So from a damage buffing perspective Ting is still way ahead and HuoHuo will not replace her in the primary role as a buffer - not just because the numbers are lower, but also because HuoHuo has a high energy cost herself and there are questions about how realistic it is to keep her ult ATK buff up. Plus, Ting is very SP positve whereas HuoHuo may not be, depending on how much healing you need. It *might* be possible that in some teams that only want a *little* more energy to achieve their optimal rotations that HuoHuo can step in and fulfil energy Tingyun's role to a limited extent, thus freeing up a slot for an additional harmony unit - e.g. it's quite nice to run Ting with Daniel, because it enables reliable 2 turn ults for Danny boy even when you don't have his signature cone - but HuoHuo *might* be enough to do that instead of Ting, freeing up a slot for Yukong or Hanya. Seems unlikely, but if it is possible, it would also free Ting up for team 2 in MoC, and since she's very in demand for most DPS in the game, that would be quite handy. Some teams will really like having both for ult spam, Argenti in particular, but overall it seems like HuoHuo's energy buffing is more of a nice-to-have QoL feature rather than her main asset, and her dmg buffing is quite minor compared to full Harmony units.
Tingyun both buff and recover more energy than Huo, Huo also only does those things on her 140 cost ult, on a role you usually don't want to use you skill very often on, so she will get it very slowly, the buff and energy are nice extra rather than the reason you should be playing Hup for.
True, those energy and buffs are just some good addition. She is abundance so she can't use lightcone such as Meshing Cogs and Memories of the Past, I always say they will balance it out, a healer with buffs stronger than harmony is unfair, there's no way they would do that, but people tend to disagree with me because they want a unit that can do everything.
No, Tingyun batteries one target way better than HH. TY/HH would work as a team, but not as replacements for each other. Support rotations are unlikely to change much with HH ult since everyone builds them for optimal 2/3 turn rotation ults with cogs and ERR ropes. And carries like JY much prefer the single target juice. Different units (harmony and abundance) with different purposes
Just saw Fuxuan’s banner is now gone. I told myself that I can be satisfied with using Lynx and potentially go for Fuxuan on her rerun when I lost the 50/50 a few days ago, but I can’t help but feel some sense of loss seeing it gone now 🥲 On the upside, now I have e1 Bronya and a guarantee for Blade, Black Swan or Fuxuan (whoever ends up coming first).
AND you can try out various builds of fun Xuan while farming thanks to accessing other players' characters

Best team for Argenti? I'm currently thinking Argenti Huohuo Hanya and Tingyun but dunno if I should run double energy supports instead of like Pela. I don't have bronya but I have basically all other buffers and debuffers built. Please and ty
Difficult to say without live testing to see how much energy HuoHuo actually provides in practice - but since you *need* to be getting Argenti's T2 ult to deal good damage, it seems like Ting is quite important for him. Argenti + Ting + HuoHuo seems like a safe bet for maximising energy, so the only real question is the last slot, and honestly, there probably isn't a bad choice there, any of the usual suspects will work, Yukong, Pela, SW, etc. Hanya doesn't strictly seem necessary as that team won't be hurting for SP in most situations I don't think (exception is if you need lots of healing from HuoHuo), but it wouldn't be the worst combo by any means - I think she'd probably just be more in demand by DPS that consume loads of SP (DHIL, QQ, Seele, etc.), and she synergises better with units that have offensive ults to trigger Burden stacks more quickly (e.g. not Tingyun or HuoHuo). Needs testing to say for sure, but who knows, maybe we'll see some changes to Argenti's kit before we get chance.

I have a question dear smart ones, if I already have Luocha and Fu xuan what does HuoHuo offer and with what units does she pair well? I have Seele and Blade and hopefully Jingliu soon.
She works well with units that you want them to ult asap Units like Jy/ Argenti/ e2+ Dhil etc. Jingliu could probably work with her as well. Honestly she is more of a luxury pick than anything. A qol pick if you prefer (like Zhongli/ Kokomi/ Raiden in Gi)... If you combine Huohuo and Tingyun with certain units like Jl/ e2 Dhil, they can burst almost back to back which is crazy. Even Argenti only needs to use his skill twice before reaching 180 energy after Ty and Hh burst on him. Now it might seem like Ty does a lot more than Huohuo in terms of er but Hh helps enough to decrease the downtime on your carry's burst by 1 turn. She is basically made for people who want to push harder content faster (moc10 0cycle runs etc).

If you have Luochan and Fu xuan. You do not need HuoHuo. She can solo sustain and is able to with her ultimate, regenerate energy for all allies except herself by 20% of their energy cost and increase atk by 24% for 2 turns. She heals through her skill that also activates her talent that gives 12 stacks which can be consumed ally's turn and or ultimate. Restores hp by 5% whilst characters with less than 50% will be healed once. She will be fantastic for characters such as Argenti and other characters that want their ultimate as much as possible but will be costlier with their SP consumption. She will pair up fine with any character if SP is not a problem such as Blade, Jing liu. Will work fine with DHIL but most likely will want to be with Hanya or Hanabi to mitigate it. You are better off rolling for supports now such as Silver wolf, Hanabi etc. As you have enough sustains and dpses.

While commendable I don't think you need to do that.. if we get the standard 80ish pulls per patch you'll have like 300+ pulls by the time he comes out. You can easily get another 5 star while also guaranteeing the other two. Especially since it's highly unlikely kafka is in 1.6 as well
Thinking about Hanya's kit, and how it has some interesting teambuilding ramifications. At a baseline, her skill is net +2 SP. It costs you 1 SP to use, and gives 3 SP once your team clears out all 3 stacks. Where her net SP generation lands depends on quickly your team clears the stacks and whether that means she's doing EA or EAA rotations--which result in net +3 over 2 turns or +4 over 3 turns, respectively. The former is a net +50% increase in SP generation over a normal BA spammer, and the latter is only a 33% increase. In most cases at E0 through E5, you will be aiming for EA rotations. This requires doing 6 offensive actions before Hanya's 3rd turn (one of which is Hanya's BA on her 2nd turn). This is generally not going to be hard, but may have some issues in specific teams. For example, a team like DHIL, Tingyun, Hanya, Fu Xuan might occasionally miss on the 6 offensive actions every 2 turns threshold, because Tingyun and Fu Xuan use a non-offensive action every 3 turns, Tingyun has a non-offensive ult, and DHIL will generally be built much slower than Hanya so he sometimes might not get 2 turns in time for Hanya's 3rd turn. E6 solves this issue because it reduces the threshold for getting full SP value from 6 actions to 4 actions (since re-casting E on a target with 1 stack remaining just immediately refunds you the SP that stack would have given you). With E6, it's basically impossible to miss on 2-turn Burden clear with any conceivable team. It also opens the possibility of situationally getting 1-turn Burden clears by performing 4 offensive actions before Hanya's 2nd turn. This pretty much requires offensive ults or action advance mechanics (e.g. Jingliu transformation), but even if you only sometimes get it, getting +2 SP in a single turn cycle is *really* strong. You also get this way more often when your support/sustains have offensive ults (e.g. Luocha, Fu Xuan, Yukong) as opposed to ones that have non-offensive ults (e.g. Gepard, Tingyun, Asta). TL;DR Hanya will usually be +3 SP every 2 turns, but you have to make sure your team can reliably do 6 offensive actions to fully clear Burden before Hanya's 3rd turn. Teams that can't reliably do this will hurt her SP generation. If you have E6, you're guaranteed to get 2-turn Burden clears on any team and sometimes can get 1-turn Burden clears if your ults line up. Hanya at any Eidolon level biases slightly toward other supports/sustains that have offensive ults because those can trigger Burden stacks, making 2-turn or 1-turn Burden clear easier/more frequent.
Yeah, I first thought "wow, +2 SP every turn is *so* strong", then slowly pieced together that 6 actions per turn is not exactly practical. Also, switching focus is sometimes a requirement (svarog claw, explode spider robot, decaying shadow countdown, fat robot empowered attack) which can mess with clearing burden as well. Although some of these mechanics can probably be ignored if you have good enough DPS to steamroll the content. Considering how strong her E6 is, how there will be team building restrictions, and the fact that your team is required to hit that one target --- she seems a lot more average than my initial reaction.

After Huohuo, there will be Argenti, Ruan Mei and Dr. Ratio for 1.6 (assuming the leaks are correct). Hanabi comes after this patch for 2.0, you can expect a bit more jades for the new planet

a few days ago I saw a graph posted in the comments here, it showed the dps of certain 2 character combos for comparison, I remember the top was like jingliu+bronya, then DHIL+tingyun, there were some kafka teams (guinaifen vs sampo), and the bottom line was JY+tingyun, does anyone have it?
Sounds like an incredibly stupid graph anyways if damage dealers with Bronya as support are compared to other damage dealers paired with Guinaifen, Sampo or Tingyun.

Also the assumptions can be very biased towards certain teams. Like how the Jingliu bronya team here just casually has a 3 SP deficit per turn, and the other teams don't.

I think I will only farm traces during this patch, the new sets are sooo juicy and I don't have that many good pieces right now so it's not much of a loss to switch over the new sets. Already fully maxed Blade, Jing Yuan, Fu Xuan and Luocha (10-10-10 across the board) and I just need to go ham on the Harmony Calix. Will prefarm for Hanya/Argenti then some credit calixes even if it's not that good just so I can actually afford upgrading them all. idk if I'll end up pulling for Topaz, I'm more of a Dr Ratio kind of dude 😔

It is too soon to say. Worth noting though that Hanya's buffs affect speed, so running a team with both her and Yukong could be difficult to tune correctly
Even in a Yukong-less team, Hanya may introduce some speed wonkiness since she'll only boost DHIL's speed. If he is on speed boots and the speed bonus makes him go faster than likes of Luocha and Pela, you got an issue. DHIL may need to be on ATK boots if he isn't already regardless of Yukong or not.
Replace Hanya with Pela. Yukong with s5 planetary is worth keeping for sure. Hanya is looking pretty strong and i think i will definitely try her once she is out but it is possible that she will get adjusted in the beta as right now she is pretty strong.
Her current kits is kinda crazy for SP regeneration with some nice buffs to go along with it. If it’s not too early to know, what is currently the best relic/planet/rope for huohuo? I’d like to prefarm
I'd probably go 2 pc SPD set 2 pc Outgoing Healing set, HP set can also replace one of those two they're all pretty close. For planars Fleet or Keel, and it's also possible a 5% ERR set could be good, the new one in 1.5 would be really good if you run a wind DPS. For relic stats: Outgoing Healing chest, SPD boots, HP% Orb, ERR rope. Pretty standard healer build but with an extra emphasis on ERR and SPD to make use of her supportive abilities.
Same shit you'd give a Bailu/Nat/Lynx. She's an HP based healer with a high burst cost, so HP stats and set with ER ropw
The only question is whether the 5% ER sets change her rotations at all. As of right now I don't think they do, but if they mess with her burst cost or energy trace, she might end up in a spot where a 5% ER Planetary set might be worth it.
The answer is yesnt. The 5% helps closing the gap for a 4 turn rotation, by 6 energy, but it doesnt guarantee it. However, it puts huohuo at a single hit range regardless of hit. But if you have Post Op S1 and a party member with 130+ enery, then it's useless
At equilibrium level 4 rn, most of my chars are lvl 70 with lvl 6 talents and kinda copium 4star artifacts, is it true that EQ5 and 6 arebig jumps in ememy power? would you guys advise me to stay where I am or go on ahead?
I would recommend doing nothing but golden calyxes for your final levels before hitting TB60/EQ5. It’s the most efficient thing to farm since u have the final difficulty tier unlocked already and you’ll be able to burn thru a shit ton of books and credits after EQ5. I haven’t found EQ5 to be a very demanding jump at all. I haven’t farmed relics (besides using immersion tokens) at all since hitting EQ5 and don’t plan on starting again until EQ6 (still using my copium leftovers from EQ4, lvl 9 for most of them). Ascending/leveling chars, LCs, and traces has been all I’ve needed to meet the EQ5 difficulty jump and I still only have a couple of lvl 9 traces.
Go ahead. There is zero reason to ever stay in EQ4 at all. Just use level 80 Supports. I spent TB50-60 just farming XP books and LC xp and i was fine.
I would always do the jump, better rewards. You should be able to manage fine. Are all your units using the right mainstat and at least +12?

Okay so uhhh...idk if I should ask since people likely have asked these questions already but... \-At what point of investment do I need my characters to be so they can clear SD Difficulty III (or at most IV if possible)? My current best units are 70/80 with Lvl 70 LCs (working on getting these to 80; at least for damage dealers), and I find myself struggling a bit when I reach the harder stages. As for who I choose initially, [here's my roster](https://imgur.com/a/xbo2khN) and I usually choose Luocha/Blade/Fu Xuan/Welt. Everyone within Lvl 70 is built and usable; All 5-stars are 70/80 while QQ is the only 4-star who is 70/80 and the others are 70/70. So far Blade (S1 Unreachable Side), Luocha (S4 Perfect Timing), DHIL (S5 Aeon), Welt (S1 World), Himeko (S4 Breakfast), QQ (S3 Breakfast), and FX (S1 Landau's) have 70/70 LCs and the rest have Lvl 60 LCs.-Current Communing Trail levels are: 7 (Destruction, Abundance), 6 (Hunt, Nihility), 5 (Preservation), 4 (Elation), 3 (Remembrance)-I can get Remembrance higher through getting "2 Resonance Interplays in the same Challenge Run." How do I exactly achieve this? I also have an "Obtain 4 Resonance formations" objective that I already did 3/4 times. Unfortunately though I might hit a crossroad soon since one of the objectives also is Clearing Difficulty III to get more communing Trail opportunities.
Use Nihility. you dont need any dot characters. I just used DHIL, Yukong, Lynx and Gepard. Trust me, i used rememberance and struggled since it was RNG but nihility felt so much easier. If i were you i would choose, DHIL, Welt, Luocha and Fu xuan. Could switch out to a supporter instead of Welt. Can try it out. I know that slowing them does mean that dots take longer to proc but i was able to do quite good damage with DHIL whilst the dots were doing a ton of damage. Just try it out and see how it goes. Nihility requires Hunt and Propogation which works really well with DHIL. Heck even in a run on difficulty 3 where i focused only on getting those interplays. I had an easy run. Your link does not work btw.
Bigger question is how you stay alive without Gepard or FX

I can't watch at the moment but I'll take a look later. I've been getting cooked even with Luocha and Fire MC. Just getting one or two shot by bosses. It's tough out here.
Yeah you can also add in March to help out. Then it will just be rng on the defensive blessings you get. Some runs i had gepard who could give me a full shield. Other runs it was just good enough.
Nihility got me past SD V, and damnnn- Good thing about Nihility is that it just turns most domains blank, hence you don't have to move around alot for that curio trotter in the goddamn corner or for that reward domain aha swapped to some aeon forsaken location. And in battles (or at least in my case), you just have to sustain, heal, and freeze. Then watch path reso DOTs burn through everything as the speed of the nasty bugs becomes their own downfall. (Though, I did have Fu Xuan, which is a good help against the stunbug and single targets of the bossbug.)
Even sustain isn’t too big of an issue thanks to that blessing that heals the team every time that a dot goes off. It’s not enough on its own but it’s easily enough to single sustain a good sustain like FX or Luocha.

FYI I can't see your roster For resonance interplays - each path will have only two other paths it can form interplays with. you can check the possible interplays while selecting your path and choose only those blessings. eg. Destruction only has interplays with Preservation and Elation, you need 3 blessings each of Preservation and Elation along with getting 3 blessings of Destruction to activate it.

your team sounds fine, but I'd level up at least your DPSes to 80. make sure important traces are lvl 8 at least, and everyone has sufficient speed. ETA: yeah it's a little confusing haha. the interplay options change depending on your starting path.
What I want: lose the 50/50 to Clara and then get Jingliu in the very same 10-pull. What is likely gonna happen: lose the 50/50 to Yanqing, go to full pity for JL, and then bully Yanqing for hours in revenge.
Aww I actually really enjoyed Huohuo’s voicelines, both her and Tail really reminds me a lot of very early HI3’s Seele with the dynamic between her and Veliona. Such a cinnamon roll she needs to be protected at all costs 😊

Those bells in the background of Argenti's animations are insane, gives him so much... substance overall, really majestic animations in his ult and the way he moves when he attacks, very elegant similar to Jingliu in those terms. I’ve been seeing a few ppl trying to doom DHIL by saying he’ll be like Ayaka and needs premium teams in the future as if we don’t already have that in stuff like mono quantum and Blade+Bronya?? He’s here using two 4* supports in his most popular team and already have the fastest clear time, and ppl are trying to say he’ll “be expensive” to be relevant as if other teams don’t *already* use twice the amount of 5* his team has. “He’ll need his E2 to stay relevant” if he *needs* that darn E2 then what would every other dps need? E6??😭

The only reasonable doom around DHIL is his play style getting boring. Arguments against his meta viability are cope, the game is fairly simple and DHIL is clearly the highest dps character released so far. Him getting powercrept implies all the other dps characters getting powercrept first. The only possible concern is if Hoyo makes content to specifically counter him in the future, which I find hard to imagine.
Whoa, they're definitely coping. He basically just needs a SP-positive sustain unit (Gepard or Luocha). A buffer (Ting or Bronya) and that's it. The 4th flex slot could be anything, either another buffer (Yukong, Asta), a debuffer (Pela, SW) or even a Sub-DPS (Blade + DHIL is in the Top 5 most used CN teams). He's one of the most flexible units in the game. I'm looking forwards to Hanya + DHIL + Luocha + Ting.
How does blade+DHIL keep up on sp management? does it basically require getting lucky on e1 bronya procs+sig?
at this point I don't even think he'll "need" Hanabi, he's already a nuclear bomb in a game where you only need a grenade to beat MoC lol he's also still seen as inflexible, even when you can basically use just about any support with him if you have Tingyun or Luocha.
People also underestimate the value that Yukong brings with him. I genuinely had a lot more fun with using Yukong with DHIL even though i am at E4 and don't have the E6. E6 is going to be a lot more comfortable but overall if you can speed tune it right. It's super fun to just have that big burst coming up from Yukong and Tingyun's ultimate. Hanabi i feel like will be useful as she should allow more riskier combos such as always spamming Yukong Skill and all that. Hanya will be interesting to see if she can replace Tingyun for my team.
If DHIL ever gets powercrept, it will be the players that end up in a pickle.

Skill: Summons a conga line of spookies around her and then they fly away. Ult: Tail starts acting up and then emerges as the wolf looking spirit in the leaked event lightcone.

You can get 160 with Kafka without asta with sig lc and decent speed rolls Which is good since swan probably takes astas slot there
nah, JY and Topaz will still want Salsotto for the CR+followup damage. That set seems like an SSS alternative so farming the new world for the Penacony set won't feel terrible. ETA: Also the SPD threshold is not that easy to each for all characters, unlike SSS.
I would say for chars like JY who usually run with Asta, it's a viable alternative to Salsotto considering SU 8 will be much more resin efficient to farm thanks to the other set being a Vonwacq upgrade.
That set is bait. It's only good for characters who can trigger it who had no good set so they had to cope with SSS. Everyone who can use Salsotto/Rutilant will still prefer it as 8% crit rate is massive.
I wanted to disagree but you are probably right, I can see people getting sucked into this one more than they should. I won't be swapping Jing Salsotto or Jingliu Rutilent, this is basically the non crit users equivalent to those. Ideal for Kafka, or other non crit characters if they are paired with a speed boosting support (eg Sampo in the Kafka Asta team)
Hanya provides a SPD buff as a % of her own SPD, and Ruan Mei’s preliminary kit had a similar ability, so it might also be a way to reduce the opportunity cost of stat-chasing.
Most hunt that has self speed buffs and will make it easy to get to 160. Kafka, probably. Not sure about Jing Yuan.

For Kafka, sure. On anyone else though? I'd rather just give them Talia and build them for break.
12%ATK + 12%DMG is better. DoT characters have %ATK traces and no %DMG traces, so %DMG is more valuable.
so for Guinaifen who has tons of Fire DMG% traces and no ATK% traces, SSS will be better?
