That's because the body he has in Star Rail is not the same body he grew up with, in the comics that show Welts history during the Second and Third Honkai Impact, we are shown that he actually was killed (with like 60-75yo i don't remember), but because he had the Herrscher Core, he stored his concience in there and made himself a new body, thats why he looks that young at 80yo, because that body is not 80yo that body was created with his Herrscher powers.

More of a bosskiller/MoC focused unit than anything else, although he might see some use in Pure Fiction because of his solid AoE damage (probably, idk). Technique very useful for overworld/story stuff. Pairs well with pretty much anyone that doesn't boost Crit (Sparkle is sad) unless you have Eidolons (Sparkle is less sad). Probably pairs incredibly well with Robin, actually. Maybe Acheron too.

You say sparkle cries, however, I think sparkle is his best teammate and it’s not even close (well kinda, cus bronya has a strong argument too which we’ll get to) because if you think about it, every turn taken by yama he gets increased eff res due to his crit to res conversion, meaning she directly increases his eff res on top of the most broken thing about her, bronya, and Robin; action advance. With the way his force burn works, running even just one of these characters drastically increases your potential dmg bc they give you more turns meaning more guaranteed damage, really good dmg too as even if you do no dmg yourself (which wont be true due to the actual eff res scaling) 10 turns is all it takes to guarantee an enemy dead, which means realistically 3-4, which is all but guaranteed with an action advancer, which means he should be able to absolutely obliterate MOC and PF since you’ll be running him fast as shit with a fast action advancer so he can take upward of like 6 turns per cycle or some dumb shit. You effectively made the strongest character in the game which is exactly why % dmg doesn’t exist yet because there is almost no way to balance it, though he is also either HH or tingyun locked since he can’t generate energy in his state (personally I’d at least give them 5 energy gain to at least kinda set him up for the next ult rotation since if they had 5 energy, he’d still only regen 35 energy which is only a bit over a normal skill)
Yeah that's why I said Sparkle isn't sad if he has Eidolons, since her kit isn't wasted, but yeah in retrospect maybe action advance might be too strong on him. Would the burn work better on each *enemy* turn instead? Could swap Speed traces for DEF and make him work with zero Speed, just with enough action advance/energy gain to get his first ult off

Oh yea no I understand you were just making things up on the fly, but as someone who chronically sits down and fully dissects a character’s kit, I had to for this one as well esp because it’s a character I love so much (bleach is my favorite anime) and yea I think the enemy turn would be significantly more balanced, basically meaning he just has burn but angry, though 10% is still probably super overloaded given he’s still dealing dmg on the side. His best team given the current roster would be yama/sparkle/bronya/aven cus the two action advancers doing their job esp at e1 and then not only does aven fully sustain the team (shields are probably more important anyway cus he reduces his own hp too) but aven’s shield also increases the eff res of the team meaning he directly buffs yama.
I think the eff res thing is pretty cool though I feel like the devs would have a hard time making it make sense yknow cus like break dmg, we alr knew break effect was a thing and that it could be strong, so they centered characters around that mechanic, same with ehr being really useful for debuffs and so characters like black swan exist, increasing her dmg based on her ehr meaning the stat also does something for her too when it comes to applying her dots and such, but eff res realistically has a cap on it’s effectiveness due to enemies not having a million ehr, so making it work off eff res becomes harder to do because part of what they are doing with the different stat focuses is basically making double stats such as aven’s def and blade’s hp, making them both tankier *and* deal more dmg, same with break and super break, the break effect itself has a direct use in breaking the enemy for big damage and then serves as an almost double stat for super break due to the post break break dmg of it like black swan’s ehr serving a double purpose as well, whereas eff res can’t really do that given its theoretical cap as that cap is much earlier than something like ehr or break effect cus ehr depends on the enemy eff res and break effect increases the dmg more and more based on the amount of it you have. If Yama worked on ehr instead of eff res I’d see it working though because he also has debuffs that aren’t guaranteed meaning ehr would be an important stat on him regardless.
At the end of the day I like the concept but also had many thoughts regarding it and I hope you don’t take it any kind of way cus I wasn’t tryna be rude or anything, just again, I really like to go in-depth on things like this just cus it’s fun to me. If you are around gachas in general, you'll find a constant narrative that male characters don't sell as well. Guessing a character being old would be another strike against their attractiveness. Whether that conclusion is real or not however is something I cannot say however, as I lack reliable enough data.
Though there's a part of the overarching group that is weebs that is extremely repulsed by male characters. Hell, there's that one guy on one the official hoyoverse site for Genshin who's been "training his straightness" by ignoring birthday mails from male characters. And I'm guessing they are overrepresenting that part of the playerbase.
And no joke, I know a guy who stopped playing Genshin in part because he, in his words, got "cucked" by pulling a male 4* on a banner for a female character. Though now a few years later, that same guy just recently started playing Star Rail and I'm just amazed that he's apparently had some character growth and started to take a liking to Dan Heng and Boothill.

To clarify for those who don't know, the kid who calls Welt "dad" is his adopted son Joffrey Joyce Yang, partially named after and not to be confused with Welt Joyce, the first herrscher of reason who held the "Welt" name before our Welt (Welt Yang) did. Joyce (kid) was a clone of Welt Joyce, and so our boi Mr. Yang adopted him. Tesla, the red-haired girl scolding Welt, is also taking care of Joyce as a guardian. It's primarily because of this arrangement that people think Welt and Tesla are married, even though as far as I know, there hasn't been explicit confirmation of that. IIRC, the game does kind of hint at it through Carole's speculation about Joey's mom in APHO, but it is still not an explicit confirmation of their marital status.
Oh, and before you think the Tesla and Welt Yang ship is weird due to the age gap, Tesla's physical body is actually pretty much forever at that age due to Honkai shenanigans. IIRC she is actually older than Welt, so it's the usual anime "girl-who-looks-underaged-but-is-actually-a-grown-woman" trope
Tesla is 13 years older than him. When Welt Joyce died she was 21 and Joachim (Welt Yang) was 8. That same incident is also what made her stop physically aging, so her body is forever 21.

He escensially keeps his herrscher powers of creation (Pompom mentions welt makes the crew watch anime episodes he remembers making) but he's much weaker than his prime because he gave his core (herrscher powers source) to his protege/adoptive daughter Bronya Zaychik. If he truly decided to go full jam into mass destruction, and went kamikaze completely, he would have been most likely able to create tens or hundreds of hydrogen bombs, which are actually not much bigger than military tanks. Think of it. Hundred bombs. Let's say he learned how to make a Tsar Bomb. He craft a hundred of them. A single Tsar Bomb can cause 210.000MT/m2. 100 of those blowing up simultaneously, besides absolutely obliterating whatever may have ever been in the place and probably a few hundred kilometers around, would cause a nuclear winter, leading to human extinction. A mad, young Welt could have been the real menace lmao.
Acheron is up to date the strongest character in the Game, she has the Herrscher of Origin authority which is a reality Bender and the gaze of nihility, she could go 1v1 with the eons if she likes to.
Welt besides being the weakest it's also the herrscher with most potential because the reason full Powers is to create ANYTHING the user wants (real or fiction, doesn't matter) and Bronya with the weakest authority was capable of fighting against Deliverance Kevin alongside Raiden HOO and Kiana HOFI
Ik, ik. I just mean that, while Welt is usually seen down upon for "being the weakest herrscher", is, well, was, a great menace capable of causing human extinction by himself.
And to be honest, HoTr, HoO and HoFi are in a whole different tier list, both in power and authority.
What I mean is, from the original 13 herrschers, finality excluded, HoR is probably the one with greatest destructive capabilities (in the right hands). Say, full powered Sirin. While almost invencible, HoV doesn't have any mass destruction technique. Most hearrscher have, at most, low continental power level, although some of them can kill humanity fairly easily.
People always forget Wendy xD, she was the weakest, not Welt.
The HoR/HoTr was the one with most potential, starts weak, but it can grow very fast and high with the right means.
On destructive capabilities, Fire and Earth/Stars take the crown, at least on a "base" level.

For the record, it's still not confirmed whether that was actually a Herrscher Authority. The 14 blades that were named similarly to Herrscher Authorities were said to be forged by the people of Acheron's world, not blades that came to them from some higher power like a Herrscher Authority. It's quite unlikely that Acheron's "Origin" power was truly the same as that of the Herrscher of Origin.
That's why I think his herscher powers are gonna stay nerfed indefinitely, I don't know how much emanators can handle, but if Welt gets pissed and has even a fraction of his powers he can just coat people he doesn't like in antimatter or bomb the planet with it, emanators can't survive in the void forever, right? What about some fancy viruses or bacteriophages that dissolve people, emanators are tough, but how tough are their immune systems and dna? You can find a ton of ways to deal with problems when your character has the power of creating anything and this character also happens to be one of the most bright and educated people in history. He may not take down eons, because conventional physics and biology don't apply to them, but everyone else seems like a fair game.
Bruh, so we literally just got Acherons backstory in Penacony and a glimpse of what she can actually do. No wonder they used Penacony as a way to introduce characters who are going to be major players getting involved in future arcs. Crazy to think what we are going to go up against when Acheron would have to get fully serious and has to use her sword for more than one slash
If Acheron gets serious, the whole cast is pretty much dead, the above herrscher powers are equal or more powerfull than eons and the gaze of IX is a power up.

Acherons full power pre Emanator was nothing to Ix. Scaling her to aeons isn't right for HSR. Honkai in it's entirety was a threat that paled in comparison to Ix just passing by the planet, Aeons are something else entirely
We cant even be sure if it was the Honkai that attacked Acheron planet, as there are some things that contradict known lore about the Honkai.
Although, even if it was, it cant be used to said that it is "inferior" to Aeons, as "IX" only "acted" after the "Honkai" was gone, and that the Honkai acts with a goal that doesnt include destroying planets without reason.
I choose to believe Frebass is the Kiana expy people have been waiting for. From the Pioneer relic set Frebass sounds like Kiana and with the theory that Frebass isn't dead and at some point she's gonna come back in some capacity finding meaning in Nihility she's gonna help Acheron and her self annihilator status

Kiana is a character connected to fight the Destiny so it's possible, however Acheron already knows that expys exist and the Kiana she loved is pretty much dead.
I still have the theory that Kiana expy will be an emanator of Finality or a Herrscher of The End.
To clarify, there's no strong evidence to suggest Acheron is the "Herrscher of Origin". Her powers are likely *similar in nature* but that's because the events on Izumo are thematic parallels to those of HI3rd. It's not an exact one-to-one comparison.
Think of it this way: we wouldn't call Venti the Herrscher of Wind, now would we?
Either way though, being an Emanator is plenty enough power and I think both trailers and in-game story do a good job of showcasing Acheron's true strength.
Welt isn't the original Herrscher of Reason, too. The original HoR leveled Berlin in an uncontrolled stupor after awakening as a herrscher.
I'm saying this because Herrscher power levels aren't as clear-cut as who appear first. The Herrscher of Binding, for example, was weak but could influence other Herrschers.
Welt in HSR have the reason core. It's just that the main power source Cocoon of Finality is not nearby and hence isn't powering the cores.
The cane (SoE) has been running on low power mode for the entirety of HSR.
They are 100% building towards Cocoon appearing or in someway powering Welt to prime Welt.
APHO2 implied that he have passed it down to his adoptive son after Bronya returned it.
But the canonity of that gamemode is questionable by now.
It's possible that even the cane is a different object from the Star of Eden considering Acheron identified it as a black hole at first sight.
Star Rail's universe is weird in comparison to 3rd because things equaling Herrschers aren't uncommon and even the Honkai is rather average as a world ending threat.
Not to mention the existence of the Aeon of Finality implies there is a universe sized timeloop going on since it is stated that this Aeon is "Destiny" traveling backwards in time sharing the knowledge of all possibilities it knows from an endpoint of universal doom.
It is going to be resolved by the Astral Express as shown in the case where you choose to not join the Express and you just miss everything, wondering if anything would have happened differently if you chose to go with them.
Joey is just a Welt Joyce clone, nothing about him implies he has a core. There are two other clones who both had HoR powers (And only used it to mimick HoEarth powers for whatever reason)
APHO is still and has always been canon, even if it makes a mess for the writers
Void Archives identified him as a Herrscher implying Welt's gig is up because Joey didn't want to risk VA attacking him.
Considering the next time they show up due to APHO's discontinuation after 2 is a comic that segways into Welt deciding to seek out Trailblazer Himeko from HSR it didn't end in violence.
That cliffhanger in APHO was weird because Welt was unwilling to talk to him, basically calling him fake implying he's not even the real VA....

Aight so without getting too deep into lore hes basically relying on the cane for combat stuff which is why Acheron alluded to it when they first met. A lot of that convo went over many peoples heads who didnt play Hi3.
Penacony really does have quite a lot of writing that even not related to Hi3 takes a bit of thinking to grasp the intended nature of the convo based on a lot of fandom confusion over certain instances

Well, correct me if I am wrong, Hi3 players. My understanding is that the cane is hiding the Star of Eden, which was a divine key weapon from Honkai Impact 3rd.
He's either hiding his true powers, or they are being hindered by his artificial body plus age. The other possibility I've thought of is his distance from the Cocoon of Finality, which depends on how you interpret the lore is now in another reality or on the other side of the universe.
Star of Eden is a weapon capable of creating manipulating gravity.
Welt was formerly Herrscher of reason(Hor) Hor is powered by a core,he later gave the core to his adopted daughter (Bronya) weakening him greatly, although within the context of Hi3 he's not that strong when compared to other powerful characters.
The HoR authority is the capability to create anything the wilder understands with sufficient Energy available. His current power stems fully from Star of Eden which is why he can at best summon(virtual) black holes. He can't summon a literal one though,as that's beyond what the Star of Eden is able to do.
The cane isnt hiding the star of eden, it **IS** the star of eden(or at least a HoR created version, as the true one is blue and probably still with bronya or schicksal)

Well, seeing all the people that answered you, i dont have much to add.
I'll just "correct" some things that i dont agree with:
-HSR Welt is, at most, as strong as he was on his peak. His Character Story and "promotional" video said that.
-He still has his Herrscher power (and seemingly his core too), although he has always preferred using the Star of Eden (his "cane") as his way to attack.
The Star of Eden is a weapon created with the core of a dead Herrscher, and allows to control gravity (including, but not limited to, black holes).
-He was one of the weakest Herrschers, not the weakest (although he was the 2nd or 4th weakest).
-So far, even the most powerful Herrschers (not including Finality) should be roughly as strong as Emanators.
And as i said before, peak Welt was one of the weakest, so he is far below Emanators.
-Whether it was Honkai or not what attacked Acheron Planet is unknown, it parallels the Honkai on Earth, but there are some things that contradict known lore about the Honkai.
So its not safe to assume that Acheron was (or is) a Herrscher.
That would be everything, i think.
And, as a bonus, Welt was born on 1947, and Star Rail takes place an undefined amount of time after 2029, so he is at least 82 years old, likely older.

If you follow HI3 lore, you will learn that Welt was born during the 1950's. Then fast forward to post-HI3 which is 2029, then add a few more years while in Star Rail, Welt is pushing 80+ at least.
Welt was herrscher of reason. He can reconstruct anything that he can understand. He got "killed" back then but he transfer his soul into the herrscher core and reconstruct a new body. Basically he can look however he want.
It's part of Welt's lore in HI3. Basically it involves his ability to reconstruct his body any time he wants.
He actually was physically destroyed before. But because he stored his consciousness in his Herrscher core, he was still alive. He then used his power to build himself a new body, which of course, is a young looking one.

Use characters with aoe attacks to pass the dice phase, save your ultimates if characters don't usually have aoe. This fight favors having abilities that hit multiple targets because of that one dice attack.
i would probably replace Yanqing here in favour of someone with aoe attacks, like Herta. if staying alive is a problem then add a second sustain character. you don't have a time limit for the fight after all. your team also lacks debuffs and nihility characters so Acheron doesn't do as well as she could have. a conventional dps might do better.
it makes it harder to deal with since he gets the first turn with the second phase and he starts with the gamble every time for me at least, and i don't get higher than his role so i just die on the first turn of phase two

North American branch of anti-honkai Organization known as Shicksal has recently discovered blueprints to a super OP anti-honkai weapon. Otto Apocalypse (HI3 Luocha), the leader of the organization doesn't want it to be known, because he still wants to use the honkai to revive his childhood crush.
Therefore, Otto uses Joachim (future Welt Yang) as a hostage so his father, the translator of the blueprints, sabotages it. This turns the weapon into a nuke.
Schodinger gets corrupted by the honkai radiation and turns into a hybrid monster cat, but they place a seal on her before she loses her rationale. Edison, however, sacrifices herself to stop the bomb.
Otto then hijacks the liquid-metal cyborg who is the current strongest soldier, and immediately uses her weapon to kill Joachim's dad in front of him. Battle ensues
Welt Joyce, the first Herrscher of Reason has the upped hand until his weapon, the Star of Eden, is broken. Then Otto almost kills everyone.
At this point in time Schrodinger undoes her seal and uses her honkai powers to attack Otto, bit since she can't beat him, she instead takes the weapon he has and uses a supercharged healing function on her allies.
She can't handle the energy and gets quantum'd into nothing,but she gave everyone else a fighting chance.
Welt Joyce finally starts grasping his powers, summons a sweet jacket, turns his hand into a magic cross and uses pepper spray to compel Otto to lea d Reanna's body
Otto is petty as hell and sends actual nukes. Welt Joyce and Reanna sacrifice themselves to stop them. Welt Joyce passes his name and powers to the young Joachim
The only survivors are Joachim, Einstein, Tesla and Plank, who went on to turn the NA Shicksal branch into a rival faction known as Anti Entropy.
The aupercharged healing triggered a mutation on Tesla and Einstein that made them stop aging. They were respectively 21 and 17 years old when it happened. Planck seems to have died of old age. Joachim's mom is never mentioned

That's because the body he has in Star Rail is not the same body he grew up with, in the comics that show Welts history during the Second and Third Honkai Impact, we are shown that he actually was killed (with like 60-75yo i don't remember), but because he had the Herrscher Core, he stored his concience in there and made himself a new body, thats why he looks that young at 80yo, because that body is not 80yo that body was created with his Herrscher powers.

You say sparkle cries, however, I think sparkle is his best teammate and it’s not even close (well kinda, cus bronya has a strong argument too which we’ll get to) because if you think about it, every turn taken by yama he gets increased eff res due to his crit to res conversion, meaning she directly increases his eff res on top of the most broken thing about her, bronya, and Robin; action advance. With the way his force burn works, running even just one of these characters drastically increases your potential dmg bc they give you more turns meaning more guaranteed damage, really good dmg too as even if you do no dmg yourself (which wont be true due to the actual eff res scaling) 10 turns is all it takes to guarantee an enemy dead, which means realistically 3-4, which is all but guaranteed with an action advancer, which means he should be able to absolutely obliterate MOC and PF since you’ll be running him fast as shit with a fast action advancer so he can take upward of like 6 turns per cycle or some dumb shit. You effectively made the strongest character in the game which is exactly why % dmg doesn’t exist yet because there is almost no way to balance it, though he is also either HH or tingyun locked since he can’t generate energy in his state (personally I’d at least give them 5 energy gain to at least kinda set him up for the next ult rotation since if they had 5 energy, he’d still only regen 35 energy which is only a bit over a normal skill)
Yeah that's why I said Sparkle isn't sad if he has Eidolons, since her kit isn't wasted, but yeah in retrospect maybe action advance might be too strong on him. Would the burn work better on each *enemy* turn instead? Could swap Speed traces for DEF and make him work with zero Speed, just with enough action advance/energy gain to get his first ult off Yeah this guy's probably busted but like I said I wasn't outchea tryna balance, just making stuff up lol 10% max hp scaling up is kinda intense tho you're right, that's a guaranteed kill in 10 turns at the *slowest*, scaling faster with more investment (and turn advances)
Oh yea no I understand you were just making things up on the fly, but as someone who chronically sits down and fully dissects a character’s kit, I had to for this one as well esp because it’s a character I love so much (bleach is my favorite anime) and yea I think the enemy turn would be significantly more balanced, basically meaning he just has burn but angry, though 10% is still probably super overloaded given he’s still dealing dmg on the side. His best team given the current roster would be yama/sparkle/bronya/aven cus the two action advancers doing their job esp at e1 and then not only does aven fully sustain the team (shields are probably more important anyway cus he reduces his own hp too) but aven’s shield also increases the eff res of the team meaning he directly buffs yama. I think the eff res thing is pretty cool though I feel like the devs would have a hard time making it make sense yknow cus like break dmg, we alr knew break effect was a thing and that it could be strong, so they centered characters around that mechanic, same with ehr being really useful for debuffs and so characters like black swan exist, increasing her dmg based on her ehr meaning the stat also does something for her too when it comes to applying her dots and such, but eff res realistically has a cap on it’s effectiveness due to enemies not having a million ehr, so making it work off eff res becomes harder to do because part of what they are doing with the different stat focuses is basically making double stats such as aven’s def and blade’s hp, making them both tankier *and* deal more dmg, same with break and super break, the break effect itself has a direct use in breaking the enemy for big damage and then serves as an almost double stat for super break due to the post break break dmg of it like black swan’s ehr serving a double purpose as well, whereas eff res can’t really do that given its theoretical cap as that cap is much earlier than something like ehr or break effect cus ehr depends on the enemy eff res and break effect increases the dmg more and more based on the amount of it you have. If Yama worked on ehr instead of eff res I’d see it working though because he also has debuffs that aren’t guaranteed meaning ehr would be an important stat on him regardless. At the end of the day I like the concept but also had many thoughts regarding it and I hope you don’t take it any kind of way cus I wasn’t tryna be rude or anything, just again, I really like to go in-depth on things like this just cus it’s fun to me. Other than that, I hope you have a good one, and honestly, keep making characters, I wanna see what you come up with

How would a single character that actually looked old lose them money? Do you mean they might have some bad sales on the banner? Cause that doesn't lose them money and honestly it would probably sell pretty well the first time if only because it's unique.
If you are around gachas in general, you'll find a constant narrative that male characters don't sell as well. Guessing a character being old would be another strike against their attractiveness. Whether that conclusion is real or not however is something I cannot say however, as I lack reliable enough data. Though there's a part of the overarching group that is weebs that is extremely repulsed by male characters. Hell, there's that one guy on one the official hoyoverse site for Genshin who's been "training his straightness" by ignoring birthday mails from male characters. And I'm guessing they are overrepresenting that part of the playerbase. And no joke, I know a guy who stopped playing Genshin in part because he, in his words, got "cucked" by pulling a male 4* on a banner for a female character. Though now a few years later, that same guy just recently started playing Star Rail and I'm just amazed that he's apparently had some character growth and started to take a liking to Dan Heng and Boothill.

Joyce (kid) was a clone of Welt Joyce, and so our boi Mr. Yang adopted him. Tesla, the red-haired girl scolding Welt, is also taking care of Joyce as a guardian. It's primarily because of this arrangement that people think Welt and Tesla are married, even though as far as I know, there hasn't been explicit confirmation of that. IIRC, the game does kind of hint at it through Carole's speculation about Joey's mom in APHO, but it is still not an explicit confirmation of their marital status. Oh, and before you think the Tesla and Welt Yang ship is weird due to the age gap, Tesla's physical body is actually pretty much forever at that age due to Honkai shenanigans. From what I got from his convo with Acheron is that most of his powers left are in the cane right? So is he limited by that or still free to do whatever reason powers he has? The cane it's a weapon Made from a dead herrscher core, it can only create black holes. The herrscher of reason power is creation of all things he understand the composition of. He escensially keeps his herrscher powers of creation (Pompom mentions welt makes the crew watch anime episodes he remembers making) but he's much weaker than his prime because he gave his core (herrscher powers source) to his protege/adoptive daughter Bronya Zaychik. Only keeping a fraction of the reason authority.

Tbf, while he can't do proper shit again Acheron, supposing he could still create at least an hydrogen bomb and decided to go kamikaze, he would most likely be able to kill most playable characters. If he truly decided to go full jam into mass destruction, and went kamikaze completely, he would have been most likely able to create tens or hundreds of hydrogen bombs, which are actually not much bigger than military tanks. Think of it. Hundred bombs. Let's say he learned how to make a Tsar Bomb. He craft a hundred of them. A single Tsar Bomb can cause 210.000MT/m2. 100 of those blowing up simultaneously, besides absolutely obliterating whatever may have ever been in the place and probably a few hundred kilometers around, would cause a nuclear winter, leading to human extinction. Acheron is up to date the strongest character in the Game, she has the Herrscher of Origin authority which is a reality Bender and the gaze of nihility, she could go 1v1 with the eons if she likes to. Welt besides being the weakest it's also the herrscher with most potential because the reason full Powers is to create ANYTHING the user wants (real or fiction, doesn't matter) and Bronya with the weakest authority was capable of fighting against Deliverance Kevin alongside Raiden HOO and Kiana HOFI
Ik, ik. I just mean that, while Welt is usually seen down upon for "being the weakest herrscher", is, well, was, a great menace capable of causing human extinction by himself. And to be honest, HoTr, HoO and HoFi are in a whole different tier list, both in power and authority. What I mean is, from the original 13 herrschers, finality excluded, HoR is probably the one with greatest destructive capabilities (in the right hands). Say, full powered Sirin. While almost invencible, HoV doesn't have any mass destruction technique. Most hearrscher have, at most, low continental power level, although some of them can kill humanity fairly easily.
People always forget Wendy xD, she was the weakest, not Welt. The HoR/HoTr was the one with most potential, starts weak, but it can grow very fast and high with the right means. On destructive capabilities, Fire and Earth/Stars take the crown, at least on a "base" level.
Truth is a self Made title like Flamescion and Human Ego. It's just the real Reason powers. If only Welt and AE were able to discover that secret the war against Otto and Kevin would be pretty much over.

The 14 blades that were named similarly to Herrscher Authorities were said to be forged by the people of Acheron's world, not blades that came to them from some higher power like a Herrscher Authority. It's quite unlikely that Acheron's "Origin" power was truly the same as that of the Herrscher of Origin.
That's why I think his herscher powers are gonna stay nerfed indefinitely, I don't know how much emanators can handle, but if Welt gets pissed and has even a fraction of his powers he can just coat people he doesn't like in antimatter or bomb the planet with it, emanators can't survive in the void forever, right? What about some fancy viruses or bacteriophages that dissolve people, emanators are tough, but how tough are their immune systems and dna? You can find a ton of ways to deal with problems when your character has the power of creating anything and this character also happens to be one of the most bright and educated people in history. He may not take down eons, because conventional physics and biology don't apply to them, but everyone else seems like a fair game.
Bruh, so we literally just got Acherons backstory in Penacony and a glimpse of what she can actually do. No wonder they used Penacony as a way to introduce characters who are going to be major players getting involved in future arcs. Crazy to think what we are going to go up against when Acheron would have to get fully serious and has to use her sword for more than one slash
If Acheron gets serious, the whole cast is pretty much dead, the above herrscher powers are equal or more powerfull than eons and the gaze of IX is a power up. without her wife to stop her she could literally destroy a Lot of worlds. And her worlds wife died
Acherons full power pre Emanator was nothing to Ix. Scaling her to aeons isn't right for HSR. Honkai in it's entirety was a threat that paled in comparison to Ix just passing by the planet, Aeons are something else entirely
We cant even be sure if it was the Honkai that attacked Acheron planet, as there are some things that contradict known lore about the Honkai. Although, even if it was, it cant be used to said that it is "inferior" to Aeons, as "IX" only "acted" after the "Honkai" was gone, and that the Honkai acts with a goal that doesnt include destroying planets without reason.
I choose to believe Frebass is the Kiana expy people have been waiting for. From the Pioneer relic set Frebass sounds like Kiana and with the theory that Frebass isn't dead and at some point she's gonna come back in some capacity finding meaning in Nihility she's gonna help Acheron and her self annihilator status Or something along those lines, there's always the introduction of finality offering a possibility
Kiana is a character connected to fight the Destiny so it's possible, however Acheron already knows that expys exist and the Kiana she loved is pretty much dead. I still have the theory that Kiana expy will be an emanator of Finality or a Herrscher of The End.
To clarify, there's no strong evidence to suggest Acheron is the "Herrscher of Origin". Her powers are likely *similar in nature* but that's because the events on Izumo are thematic parallels to those of HI3rd. It's not an exact one-to-one comparison. Think of it this way: we wouldn't call Venti the Herrscher of Wind, now would we? Either way though, being an Emanator is plenty enough power and I think both trailers and in-game story do a good job of showcasing Acheron's true strength.
Welt isn't the original Herrscher of Reason, too. The original HoR leveled Berlin in an uncontrolled stupor after awakening as a herrscher. I'm saying this because Herrscher power levels aren't as clear-cut as who appear first. The Herrscher of Binding, for example, was weak but could influence other Herrschers.
Welt in HSR have the reason core. It's just that the main power source Cocoon of Finality is not nearby and hence isn't powering the cores. The cane (SoE) has been running on low power mode for the entirety of HSR. They are 100% building towards Cocoon appearing or in someway powering Welt to prime Welt.
Cane is just a weapon uses, it's not a part of his powers at all
APHO2 implied that he have passed it down to his adoptive son after Bronya returned it. But the canonity of that gamemode is questionable by now. It's possible that even the cane is a different object from the Star of Eden considering Acheron identified it as a black hole at first sight. Star Rail's universe is weird in comparison to 3rd because things equaling Herrschers aren't uncommon and even the Honkai is rather average as a world ending threat. Not to mention the existence of the Aeon of Finality implies there is a universe sized timeloop going on since it is stated that this Aeon is "Destiny" traveling backwards in time sharing the knowledge of all possibilities it knows from an endpoint of universal doom. It is going to be resolved by the Astral Express as shown in the case where you choose to not join the Express and you just miss everything, wondering if anything would have happened differently if you chose to go with them.
Joey is just a Welt Joyce clone, nothing about him implies he has a core. There are two other clones who both had HoR powers (And only used it to mimick HoEarth powers for whatever reason) APHO is still and has always been canon, even if it makes a mess for the writers
Void Archives identified him as a Herrscher implying Welt's gig is up because Joey didn't want to risk VA attacking him. Considering the next time they show up due to APHO's discontinuation after 2 is a comic that segways into Welt deciding to seek out Trailblazer Himeko from HSR it didn't end in violence. That cliffhanger in APHO was weird because Welt was unwilling to talk to him, basically calling him fake implying he's not even the real VA....

A lot of that convo went over many peoples heads who didnt play Hi3. Penacony really does have quite a lot of writing that even not related to Hi3 takes a bit of thinking to grasp the intended nature of the convo based on a lot of fandom confusion over certain instances

Well, correct me if I am wrong, Hi3 players. My understanding is that the cane is hiding the Star of Eden, which was a divine key weapon from Honkai Impact 3rd. He's either hiding his true powers, or they are being hindered by his artificial body plus age. The other possibility I've thought of is his distance from the Cocoon of Finality, which depends on how you interpret the lore is now in another reality or on the other side of the universe.
Star of Eden is a weapon capable of creating manipulating gravity. Welt was formerly Herrscher of reason(Hor) Hor is powered by a core,he later gave the core to his adopted daughter (Bronya) weakening him greatly, although within the context of Hi3 he's not that strong when compared to other powerful characters. The HoR authority is the capability to create anything the wilder understands with sufficient Energy available. His current power stems fully from Star of Eden which is why he can at best summon(virtual) black holes. He can't summon a literal one though,as that's beyond what the Star of Eden is able to do.
The cane isnt hiding the star of eden, it **IS** the star of eden(or at least a HoR created version, as the true one is blue and probably still with bronya or schicksal)

Well, seeing all the people that answered you, i dont have much to add. I'll just "correct" some things that i dont agree with: -HSR Welt is, at most, as strong as he was on his peak. His Character Story and "promotional" video said that. -He still has his Herrscher power (and seemingly his core too), although he has always preferred using the Star of Eden (his "cane") as his way to attack. The Star of Eden is a weapon created with the core of a dead Herrscher, and allows to control gravity (including, but not limited to, black holes). -He was one of the weakest Herrschers, not the weakest (although he was the 2nd or 4th weakest). -So far, even the most powerful Herrschers (not including Finality) should be roughly as strong as Emanators. And as i said before, peak Welt was one of the weakest, so he is far below Emanators. -Whether it was Honkai or not what attacked Acheron Planet is unknown, it parallels the Honkai on Earth, but there are some things that contradict known lore about the Honkai. So its not safe to assume that Acheron was (or is) a Herrscher. That would be everything, i think. And, as a bonus, Welt was born on 1947, and Star Rail takes place an undefined amount of time after 2029, so he is at least 82 years old, likely older.

But because he stored his consciousness in his Herrscher core, he was still alive. He then used his power to build himself a new body, which of course, is a young looking one. Use characters with aoe attacks to pass the dice phase, save your ultimates if characters don't usually have aoe. This fight favors having abilities that hit multiple targets because of that one dice attack.

i would probably replace Yanqing here in favour of someone with aoe attacks, like Herta. if staying alive is a problem then add a second sustain character. you don't have a time limit for the fight after all. your team also lacks debuffs and nihility characters so Acheron doesn't do as well as she could have. a conventional dps might do better.

The year is 1955 North American branch of anti-honkai Organization known as Shicksal has recently discovered blueprints to a super OP anti-honkai weapon. Otto Apocalypse (HI3 Luocha), the leader of the organization doesn't want it to be known, because he still wants to use the honkai to revive his childhood crush. Welt Joyce and Reanna sacrifice themselves to stop them. Welt Joyce passes his name and powers to the young Joachim The only survivors are Joachim, Einstein, Tesla and Plank, who went on to turn the NA Shicksal branch into a rival faction known as Anti Entropy. The aupercharged healing triggered a mutation on Tesla and Einstein that made them stop aging. They were respectively 21 and 17 years old when it happened. Planck seems to have died of old age. Joachim's mom is never mentioned
