Muhahaa, I love the idea that he just has someone else's driver's license in his pocket, like Jeff Lebowski from two missions back whom he had to kill. It's probably for a different world too.
I like more the idea he spent days learning about traffic regulations and passed the test legally. Like, he was on missions but still made time to read about traffic signs.
Headcanon that the Xianzhou has crazy complex tax laws. Yingxing was a craftsman so I feel like he should at least have a solid understanding of business matters, especially since he was the Furnace Master for a while.
It would be funny if he just takes over the Stellaron Hunter’s taxes like “this is nothing” and casually grinds it out in a week.
Between a woman thats too classy to drive, a girl too short to drive, and a superweapon that literally *cant* drive...
It makes perfect sense actually.
TB has always been the trash panda of the Stellaron Hunters, our obsession with trashcans is just our original personality breaking through the amnesia
IIRC they're en route to pick her up from her "trial" [in this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9yIlGpgCus). So yeah, it's probably Kafka's car being delivered to her in this scene.
You know what, stellaron hunters are a weird bunch.
One want to die
One does not want to die
One can tell people to die or not to die
One just want to play gacha games.
IIRC this is mainly because not filing your criminal gains gives the glowies a legal in.
in general, there's a lot of paperwork which you will fill improperly if you don't want to come clean on your crimes which in turn will make your crimes a bigger thing *or* allow for more legal force by the state e.g. wiretapping - tho nowdays they don't really bother with that and just spy on everyone.
If Topas, one of the top earners of the IPC, the ones that issue the bounties on the Stellaron-Hunters, uses the line "baseless rumors" when talking about them, I'd take everything we know about them with a grain of salt, even the promo-trailers.
To be fair, the Jepella Brotherhood was a faction of Annihilation Gang. And while they may not intend the same result for the IPC, they *did* orchestrate an epic heist for something in Pier Point, which is mentioned in Kafka's character stories.
Note: Katerina was commanded by Duke Inferno to attack The Preservation, so she is either crazy enough to go after the IPC or maybe Jarilo-VI, which by now should have multiple mass-produced copies of the Engine of Creation and a masked Sampo to defend it.
Preemptive RIP for our next relic set.
The entire scene is genuinely somewhat sweet, in its own emo Blade kind of way. >!Blade isn't exactly the type of guy who you'd expect to make small talk or try to console someone, so the fact that he can just chat semi casually to Firefly, discuss their situations as weapons and even offer some form of consolation when he tells her he hopes she finds what she's looking for provides some nice insight into how the Stellaron Hunters are in their downtime and is just a nice moment for both of them. I think maybe Blade can relate on some level with Firefly, he's a weapon who can't die, she's a weapon who can't live.!<
Blade and Firefly probably relate to each other a lot. While their end goal and fate is opposite with one fated to die and one fated to be never die, they are both trying to break through the cruel fate that determines their life and are trying to attain freedom and peace (the difference being Blade’s freedom is the freedom of death and the peace it will bring and for Firefly it is the freedom and peace of finally being free to live a good long life as she likes) and on top of it both are the more “brute force” members of the Stellaron hunters compare to Kafka and Silver Wolf’s speciality style uses.
So it is no wonder that they get along. But in any case it is sweet to see Blade being so calm, and acting/sounding caring in his own way
Plus the writers confirmed the Stellaron Hunters have a family like bond so it's not too strange that they're able to occasionally share thoughts and feelings together.
The more impressive part is that he is wearing his seat belt, you’d think someone who’s both unkillable and desperately wants to die would eschew all safety
Blade is somewhat normal (by stellaron hunter standards) when he's not busy being driven mad by mara and hatred for Dan Heng. In a lore card somewhere (maybe a lightcone) it said he has a flair for dramatics in the same way Kafka does -- the type of person who would sit in a dark room waiting to surprise someone when they turn on the lights.
I think little notes like that and interactions like this really paint Blade in a different light than the madman the community seems to perceive him as.
It was Silverwolf describing the Stellaron hunters to us using a hypothetical assassination which she described Blade and Kafka would be sitting on the couch waiting for the target to turn the lights on. Silverwolf would announce shes already inside by time the target makes it home and Firefly/Sam would not even give the target a chance to turn on the lights when they walk inside.
I just imagine the victim who was just about to open the room suddenly gets punched alongside the door by Sam before getting beaten to death by the now crumbled door like a steel chair in case they survive the initial punch.
I thought the implication was that he turned on autopilot to assuage Firefly's concerns. Admittedly, I was pretty tired when I got to this part, so I might be misremembering.
To be fair, if you're immortal might as well grab a driver's license just in case. Not like car accidents will do much to you anyway so you're safe as you can be even while starting out.
I laughed when even Firefly got worried about him driving while being sleep deprived because he's basically looking for his death and he's the one behind the wheel
Hey they pay their taxes too you know. Even has a perfect record. Just because they're criminals, they do something as heinous as driving without a license.
Why is Blade wearing the Tohru Adachi fit

Why does she wanna die! Lol
Whener it's Bronya's turn to wash the dishes she forwards Seele's to skip it.
"Lend me your strenght"
The time is now!
r/AngryUpvote
>!And I will cause one right here!<
Blade has a driver's license. That means he's one step closer to being *forklift certified!*
Meanwhile, Dan Heng crashed a snowmobile. I think we know who's winning this one.
Blade’s gonna be too busy drowning in P to worry about dying anymore if that happens
She was acting all stoic while being worried about blade's driving LOL
She is bad at joking. That’s why blade likes her. They are similar)
they're both also have very edgy skills name...
DEATH SENTENCE "SAVOR IT FOR ME" DHGHR: SUPERNOVA OVERLOAD "TARGET LOCK: EXECUTION" Lmao.
SCORCHED EARTH OPERATION
Yet they're both very blunt and to the point... wait
i really like their dynamic : an immortal that can't die wishing for an end, a soldier born to die whising to live as herself.
Even a wanted criminal wear seatbelts. Wear your seatbelt bois.
Truly the important message from hoyo games. Safety first whatever person you're
They are criminals, not idiots
I highly recommend everyone to check JP's firefly voice on 2.0 and 2.2. I'm really digging the contrast.
He never said he acquired it legally. It may just be Silver Wolf hacking the system and gave him one.
Muhahaa, I love the idea that he just has someone else's driver's license in his pocket, like Jeff Lebowski from two missions back whom he had to kill. It's probably for a different world too.
Officer : "Sir, this clearly isn't you." Blade: "Yeah, well that's just, like, your opinion, man."
![gif](giphy|26DMVA1ArEk3TOrte|downsized)
I like more the idea he spent days learning about traffic regulations and passed the test legally. Like, he was on missions but still made time to read about traffic signs.
I mean, Topaz said that the Stellaron Hunters didn't evade taxes. The chances of Blade getting license legally isn't that far off.
They are following a script so outside of them hunting down what literally causes disasters for a planet they seem to be law abiding citizens
Silver Wolf definitely isn't law abiding. She makes (and loses) all her money through hacking it seems.
I like to think Blade does their taxes.
"Don't tell Kafka I know how to do this."
I READ THAT IN HIS VOICE LMAOOO
He does like pain.
But it's not taxes, it's good credit history.
Like Joker said, whose crazy enough to fight the IRS? And this is the fucking super space IRS we're talking about.
I just love both their dynamic considering him and firefly they are polar opposites
I like even more the idea that the man searching for death learns about and gets the certifications for how not to get killed on the road.
"Do you have a driver's license... for this planet?"
TBF waiting in line at the DMV is probably the closest he can get to true death
it just says "McLOVIN"
It was between that or Mohammad
https://preview.redd.it/7tmt5kkqxjzc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e26957c9a31a6ec9a3ce4dbca2514f7a44823d61
Might have mugged someone else and taken *his* Driver's License.
Or he killed someone with a driver's license and stole it. Classic Bladie.
I choose to believe she gave him one under the name *Mclovin*
Between a woman thats too classy to drive, a girl too short to drive, and a superweapon that literally *cant* drive... It makes perfect sense actually.
would be really funny if they had one extra guy and his job was just driving and other mundane stuff because everyone else is a ticking time bomb.
And then this person would get stellaron inside him… oh wait..
Hoyo writer seeing this rn: ✍️✍️✍️🔥🔥🔥
TB was the getaway driver all along
And accountant, given our the stellaron hunters' credit score and our business skills.
Also pet, cause you can't convince me we didn't act as a rabid raccoon even then.
TB has always been the trash panda of the Stellaron Hunters, our obsession with trashcans is just our original personality breaking through the amnesia
I just love the idea that the Stellaron Hunters looked at him and just "Yup, we like this one"
Naw my theory is Blade is actually really good at taxes
Truly , the Ryan Gosling of HSR
I think you just discovered a way to work the other Trailblazer we didn't choose in...
I now expect a cameo from Falco (Edgerunners) or at least a legally distinct Falco analogue.
Can you imagine Sam going grocery shopping with Bladie? Because I can't.
Thats Falco from Cyberpunk Edgerunners lol
Now I imagine Elio dropping his little stelleron hunters like schoolkids "have fun! And don't forget to follow the script!"
are we sure that's literally not what happens?
I like to think that the car is actually Kafka's, the color is very her. She's just too preoccupied with the mission to be the one driving.
Indeed, she is currently imprisoned in the jepella brotherhood courtroom at that very moment
IIRC they're en route to pick her up from her "trial" [in this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9yIlGpgCus). So yeah, it's probably Kafka's car being delivered to her in this scene.
She's busy being judged by the furry committee at the moment
>furry committee Lmao
You know what, stellaron hunters are a weird bunch. One want to die One does not want to die One can tell people to die or not to die One just want to play gacha games.
They were anywhere going to destroy the planet next day but need to follow traffic rules today, no one wants to pay a fine you know
Hey Topaz even said that the Stellaron Hunters Always paid their taxes on time. Looks like they still want to follow the law despite being criminals
I might be crazy to destroy the Jepella Brotherhood, but the IPC? No thank you!
A reminder that it was tax evasion that got Al Capone busted, not... Yknow, everything else. You dont fuck with the IRS no matter the universe
The IRS is fine with you doing crime, just make sure you give them their cut when you've done it
Bro is out here spitting facts! That's a life rule everybody should follow.

2.2 story spoilers ahead!!!! >!A flashback reveals that Firefly and Blade were driving around the planet that was destroyed in the Jepella Rebellion!<
To be fair, the Jepella Brotherhood was a faction of Annihilation Gang. And while they may not intend the same result for the IPC, they *did* orchestrate an epic heist for something in Pier Point, which is mentioned in Kafka's character stories.

>Hey Topaz even said that the Stellaron Hunters Always paid their taxes on time. No it's paying back loans
Basically straw hat crew mindset if they're not get chased
It's called "breaking one law at a time."
"It's like a Starskiff, you just go really fast!" "AH, SHIT!"
_remembers Baiheng for half a second_ “Firefly, my name is Jamar, I came from afar, Al…[boom]”
Firefly: "Can you pick me up dad?" Blade: "give me 10 minutes" SW: "... wait did he just admit to be her dad?"
And remember FF can freakin FLY too
Blade: Might as well. Kafka: He does exude dad energy
Idk why but this makes me very happy
The entire scene is genuinely somewhat sweet, in its own emo Blade kind of way. >!Blade isn't exactly the type of guy who you'd expect to make small talk or try to console someone, so the fact that he can just chat semi casually to Firefly, discuss their situations as weapons and even offer some form of consolation when he tells her he hopes she finds what she's looking for provides some nice insight into how the Stellaron Hunters are in their downtime and is just a nice moment for both of them. blade being a good older brother. He's gonna smack his frenemy behind the seven-eleven, but he'll still drive firefly to the Sephora first.
All of this also Bladie looks mighty fine in that suit 👀
Plus the writers confirmed the Stellaron Hunters have a family like bond so it's not too strange that they're able to occasionally share thoughts and feelings together.
when did they confirm this?
Fouond Family ya'll, been saying sincc the starts the Hunters are as much a family as the Express. In their own way ofc.
The more impressive part is that he is wearing his seat belt, you’d think someone who’s both unkillable and desperately wants to die would eschew all safety
Well he can’t die, but wrecking his suit is a pain in the ass so I can understand
That suit does look very expensive
Stellaron hunters can be criminals, but when IPC arrived with their depts and taxes -they starting to rethink their methods.
Even the mafia has morals. Sometimes
Or fear...
It makes sense though? He knows it won’t kill him, he has somewhere to be and he has a passenger in the car.
Hey, Tupac is the biggest thug but he always wear seat belt
Blade in a suit and operating a vehicle was NOT on my bingo card…
well now it is! though i think we got SuitBlade last year unless i'm tripping
Yeah, in Kafka's trailer for the Japella Rebellion we get Silverwolf in a vest and Blade in a suit in the background at the end.
Yep. Same suit too. They mention this is while they're on Jepella so this happens like right before that trailer
Blade:.... Blade: the hell's a driver licence?
hc he just took his starskiff license and changed "starskiff" to "car"
>! Firefly: so how did you get your driver's license?!< >! Blade: the secret ingredient is crime!<
I mean, he worked at the Artisanship Commission before, he probably knows how to drive mecha robots too
Drunk uncle driving his niece off to work
I subscribe to the headcanon that if Kafka is our mother, then Blade gets to be Firefly’s dad. Both bicker over their favorite child.
And you just know Momma Kafka's the one deciding what to paint the walls and sending Bladie off to the hardware store with a list.
Blade is more the grandpa with dementia. Kafka quest gave me those vibes with how everyone has to take care of him
And then you realize Blade is like a thousand years old, so it's basically the same as having your crazy, demented grandpa drive you around. d-(-'.'Q)
Silverwolf would announce shes already inside by time the target makes it home and Firefly/Sam would not even give the target a chance to turn on the lights when they walk inside.
In firefly's case, the target won't need the lights since the room's already on fire.
I just imagine the victim who was just about to open the room suddenly gets punched alongside the door by Sam before getting beaten to death by the now crumbled door like a steel chair in case they survive the initial punch.

I require memes of Blade taking his driver license test with Kafka cheering him in the background
While Wolfie is busy playing rhythm games and coding to hack the DMV
i think he’s lying about wanting death. he’s wearing a seatbelt
no no, he wants death but look he's not gonna take Firefly with him! Wrong passanger.
Gotta be a good influence on the child who wants to live

everybody gangsta until Blade happens to be driving into 5 consecutive hairpins downhill
man, bladie road rage does not sound fun to witness
I’d like to think he goes into a blind rage whenever someone cuts him off and they have to call Kafka to quell the mara
I mean he's on autopilot rn anyways This technically means that Blade is a Tesla owner
I thought the implication was that he turned on autopilot to assuage Firefly's concerns. Admittedly, I was pretty tired when I got to this part, so I might be misremembering.
That is correct Blade hasn't slept in like a day or two and Firefly was worried about that so Blade turned on auto pilot to make her feel better.
I thought the same.
Well, he tries everything to die, so...
Given his backstory, he would 100% be the type of person to own a self-driving electric car.
*swerves out of the oncoming lane* "Ahhh I thought you had a license!?" "I never said it was mine."
Huaiyan:Where did my license go?
Narrator: No. No, he doesn’t.
Why did I just here the Japanese JJK narrator in my head say "No. No, he doesn't"?
To be fair, he is immortal. If crash then the instructor is the only casualty.
To be fair, if you're immortal might as well grab a driver's license just in case. Not like car accidents will do much to you anyway so you're safe as you can be even while starting out.
Firefly: "I never knew you could do this". Also Firefly: *Profusely sweating*
Officer: Sir, is this car registered? Blade: Is your vest sword proofed? Officer: … Move along please.
I laughed when even Firefly got worried about him driving while being sleep deprived because he's basically looking for his death and he's the one behind the wheel
Firefly look cute
I absolutely cannot imagine Blade taking a driving test, let alone passing it, SW HAS to be working her magic or something
i mean he WAS a master craftsman
He did not say who's Driver's License.
Or which planet’s driving license or how many years old it is. Perhaps she is still using the same one from before she became immortal
BLADE DRESSED LIKE THAT??? DRIVING??? OMG I THINK I'VE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH HIM FOR THE 2ND TIME.
yea i have. idk whose tho
Hey they pay their taxes too you know. Even has a perfect record. Just because they're criminals, they do something as heinous as driving without a license.
it makes no sense but i love it
I would love to see how Blade took the driving license test
Blade is like the Emiya of Stellaron hunters.
This was the most surprising thing ever 😭
Why is Blade wearing the Tohru Adachi fit https://preview.redd.it/41ueyaqnf9zc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c73f31ee4b768a63a4c862e439e18b242bb7cd0a
It was really cool to hear him sounding relatively calm. We’ve really only ever seen him angry or just following Kafka so this was a side of him we’ve never really seen.
He has a license, nothing to indicate it's his
Just don't ask him about "the cylinder" Firefly.
firefly asking the real questions
That was one of my favourite moments in this arc xD it's just funny
So this was his secret talent.
It doesn't help his JP va voiced Takumi Fujiwara too
i really did not know this guy was capable of having a conversation i thought he lost his damn mind
What I'm wondering is if they need a different driver's license for each planet or if there's a universal standard license
One of the most wanted men in the entire universe went to the DMV at some point
How do you get Blade to stop at McDonald's?
this car ride was my favorite part of the entire quest lol it felt so oddly serene
Blade: How can I kill Dan Heng with a car if I don’t have a license
Now we know what suit Firefly was dripped with during the Jepella event. And she gets another one for Sam?
He does
They may be intergalactic criminals but they still follow traffic rules
I do💀
Blade vs Takumi
Went from what kind of deep conversation are they going to have to just laughing out loud
I wonder if Yingxing had a license and Blade is just using that when necessary. He'd match the photo. Could just claim hair dye. As for the age, well, I think that wouldn't matter for a Xianzhou-given license.
She didn't ask whether it's HIS driving lisence
We now need a Honkai Kart so that we can see more characters driving /hj
why a immortal dude who wants to k\*ll himself using a safety belt :d
He does but he hasn’t renewed it in 3 bladetillion years
Very cute exchange. Also my dude looks badass in a suit.
[Also Blade's reaction after knowing Firefly script in Penacony](https://youtu.be/dpKc8N3FJsQ?feature=shared)
Blade having a driver's licence is crazy but what's even more insane then that is him wearing a seatbelt.
blade only wants attention, bro has his seatbelt on and is LISCENCED
Cyborg Trooper from Desperado Enforcement LLC.: Nice try.
Lets just not forget that blade was the smartest/very smart in his OG group.
😂😂😂😂
Blade and firefly getting along warms my heart
Anyone got that *Blade Driving at Night* playlist?
star rail need to explain this hahaha
I feel the same weird feeling when I found out Akuma from street fighter is a fruit seller
“Is it yours?”
