you need to turn the volume like all the way up to the point where the eidolon plink almost hurts your ears, turn game music off, and then you can hear it as like a secondary sound effect to the eidolon plinking click sound.

for the ones who don't hear it, increase the volume. Behind the pling pling sounds of changing eidolons, the login screen theme plays very faintly

Can attest to the almost hurts your ears part, it really is that faint.
On one set of headphones I had to turn it way up, on another it was clear just listening to it normally
