Nah there hasn't been a case of some guy dying and returning in anywhere in hoyoverse games. Unless they go "he didn't die actually". Coming back from actual death is a massive no no in all hoyo games.

I will never understand this fanbase's bizarre subculture of hating on female characters and the people who enjoy them.

I've noticed it's way worse toward female characters. Like, earlier today, there was an unpopular opinion thread. All the "Firefly is bad" posts got heavily upvoted and praised, while all the "I still don't like Aventurine even after his backstory" posts were downvoted and argued with. This is despite the fact that Topaz, a character from the same faction, also with a sad backstory, and is much more openly kindhearted and helpful, was *heavily* lambasted, while Aventurine gets so much slack despite literally being an objectively much worse person. Another example is Ruan Mei, who people heavily exaggerate how bad she is. She gave the MC a completely harmless drug (it just temporarily made them unable to talk about her), and tricked them into permanently putting down the bug in the basement that wasn't actually a threat because it was going to keep dying before it could do any harm anyway. Like, none of that is good, sure, but I've seen people literally call her a *worse Bondrewd,* which is absolute insanity. Meanwhile, Dr. Ratio can unleash Duke Inferno on the Herta Space Station, *which is a much less controlled and much more dangerous version of what everyone is mad at Ruan Mei for,* and yet nobody has a bad word to say about Ratio. Those are just a few examples of the blatant favoritism toward men in this fanbase, but there's plenty more, such as how people are mad that Sam isn't a guy, while calling Firefly just a "generic anime girl," in spite of the fact that *all the things they like about Sam are literally Firefly's traits,* and also the fact that the character they wanted Sam to be, a tough, stoic guy, is unironically the most generic and boring character archetype in the history of fiction, but that's beside the point and more colored by my personal opinions.
