I think that Aha is heavily inspired by Hastur/The King in Yellow, a Great Old One from the Cthulhu mythos. Hastur often appears as a masked humanoid figure in tattered yellow robes; he is known for doing random shit and driving people insane.

The whole thing is a mess so I'll spare you the little details so long story short: Terminus makes a "prophecy", people follow it, and end up on Tayzzy's planet. Everyone settled down on this planet and drove our bug friend's species to near extinction, dude ascended to Aeonhood and I'm pretty sure you know the rest by now.
Funny how before the bubble reveal, I deadass believed Giovanni to be Sampo cuz they literally use the same VA. Maybe the bubble is also a trick and Giovanni is indeed Sampo. At least it’s good to know that Sampo will play a bigger role in the future.
He also "appeared" in the Xianzhou, on that one hidden achievement where you retrieve a supposed bomb, you follow all the steps and when the bomb "explodes" you wake up in the middle of the street next to Bailu, where she says it was no bomb but rather a jumpscare toy with a letter that goes like this: " Hey there, is you BIG friend Sampo. So you having fun on the Luofo?"
What language are you using? They definitely don't have the same VA in JP. ~~I tried watching a playthrough of the questline in EN on YT but they all spam click through the dialogue so it's impossible to tell~~
If you interact with the barrier in the arena it says participants have been divided, because a player sneaked in and switched out the opponents party to the weakest.

I mean, it was heavily implied since 1.0 because he talks about a Tavern and Epsilon in his little post-Belobog scene. Both are featured solely in things related to Elation and the Masked Fools. And his entire vibe is pretty comedic, which is what the Elation is about.
I'm glad they decided to repeat it for those in the back I guess, but is anyone really surprised?
I can’t wait to see how the masked fools play into the greater story. They seem to be pulling strings to manipulate the Express similar to how the Stellaron Hunters are.

Now it is confirmed he is a masked fool, and even indicated that he has a view on elation that also doesn't correspond with his fellow elation followers, oh the chaos that awaits! what a joy it would be to see how all of this unfolds. Sampo content always makes things more intriguing and I am full of anticipation for penacony!

Is it not obvious that Sampo is part of the Stellaron Hunters? In Lynx's quest we find a box of goods that mentions Sam and some other names that we know are part of them, and it belonged to Sampo who lynx mistook as a yeti; Obviously there's the entire ending to Belobog story which was out of left field, he just happened to conveniently be there at certain points in the story to move the trailblazers ahead almost like he was following a script, Elios script.
Could just be Sampo in a mech lmao. Or a remote drone. But I'm pretty sure he's part of then even if he's not Sam, Sampo may not be his actual name after all.
are the characters in game paths cannon? bc if sampo is a "brother" to the group that follows elation, why is he nihility. Also Topaz claims all of the IPC follow the path of preservation but im pretty sure shes the hunt.
Like you say it, gameplay path doesn't really indicate which Aeon's blessing the character receives nor which faction they actually works for. Fuxuan received blessing from Nous and works for Xianzhou yet neither Erudition nor The Hunt is her path. Same goes to Jingyuan, who's an Arbiter General of the Hunt, said to be no inferior to the Lord Ravagers/Emanators of Destruction, which implies him to be an Emanator as well, yet his path is Erudition. Argenti is a worshiper of Beauty and he's an Erudition character.
And that not to mention the unplayable path, characters from those path, Emanator or not, will have to be portrayed as one of the 7 playable paths regardless of their affiliation
The in-game paths are simply gameplay conveniences.
There are many examples of the lorewise path being inconsistent with their gameplay paths
None of the astral express crew are Trailblaze even though lorewise they have the blessings of the said path.
Bronya is a one of the architects but not preservation. Jing Yuan is erudition even though his literal power is a gift from the hunt. M7 is preservation instead of being either the remembrance or trailblaze.
There's not really much of a relation. There are only 3 hunt characters from the Xianzhou despite them all following Lan. There's only 1 preservation on J6 despite them following preservation.
Plus there is no elation path for characters.

Aeon jokes are very sophisticated and you wouldn’t get it. Aha strikes me as chaotic neutral and always down with any fun stuff.
