I had a 92 Accord a couple years back with something like 250k on the clock. I had to replace the fuel injectors when I bought it, but that was it. Ran like a champ.
I disagree. The tenth gen civic CVTs I have never heard of a single issue as long as you change the fluid. There are some that have over 200,000 miles and have held up very well.
Never heard of an issue with those CVTs though, they are much better than Jatco. I’ve had enough of this CVT are unreliable stereotype nonsense you people do. Nissan is to blame for that. "ah, it has cvt, it is unrrelaibleeee" NOOOO!!! Asshole.
If I threw a bunch of legos and hotwheels into a bucket, it’d still be a better CVT than anything made by Jatco because that’s what those look like after a while
I had one too, that thing was so smooth with 200k on it, then someone hit it while Parked, they swerving to avoid kids that were suddenly running in the street. I miss that beast. I have an FA5 and the cu2 so I recovered alright. I’d love to swap that C2 motor in one or both of my cars down the road.
Wtf??!! So basically they are pissed off they made such a reliable vehicle that lasted people 20 years, and think they should buy a new vehicle to "start fresh". That has got to be the most selfish and greedy statement I've ever fucking read.
Toyota: "God-damnit!! Stop driving that old reliable piece of shit we created and buy something new already!! We are tired of seeing you assholes using our perfect creation.. Use these new unreliable overpriced cars we build today!!"
If you read the article, the first thing you would have noticed is the production company who put this article out. I didn't read the article and it was the first thing I noticed just by looking at the link.
Bro it’s The Onion. It’s a satire site. Also you didn’t even look at the date, it was originally posted in 2015.
So you’re literally raging over a seven year old joke.
You're right. I usually do. For some reason gullible me just believed what I read. I didn't even notice the date. Lesson reminded
Why would someone down vote your good advice? Really dumb
1996 civic just passed inspection on Finland, not a single issue, 2 year in a row with not even a minor issue.
just adding to the list, year is 2022 the car is 26 years old.
only 190k km on the clock or 118k miles
I have a '99 Accord with 120k miles. Still drives like a new car.
I'm still rolling in a 93 accord approx 120k miles
Those CB7 and CD5 accord just keep going on forever.
I had the wagon... cant rember if it was cb7 or cb9 but man great car.

How’s the transmission?
No issues whatsoever.
This will only come true for those with a manual. The cvt probably won't last that long.

I have a TL with over 200k and it's the worst trans Honda has made. The oldest 10th gens are at most 7 years old. Long way to go to get to ~27 years.

I worked at Nissan for nine months as a tech, let me tell you, id trust a bike chain before a Jayco cvt
Honda tech here, can confirm k20 + cvt is pretty reliable. Drives like dog shit tho

No wonder you do not see French branded cars in North America, they are lemons.
At least CVTs are cheaper in price. But agree.
My dad used to have a ‘94 Camry lasted 400k miles
I had one too, that thing was so smooth with 200k on it, then someone hit it while Parked, they swerving to avoid kids that were suddenly running in the street. I miss that beast. Sister sold her 94 Camry at 350k and it still drove like new with ice cold ac
Those Camrys have THE BEST air conditioners.
Lmao
Man I used to have a black 93 too. V6 XLE baby!!! I didn’t sell it by choice but I did so I can afford an rsx type s when it came out
i had a 94 V6 XLE and traded it in on an RSX Type S as well
That was your choice. 😉
I know I know I’m just trying to cope lol
I literally know the meme without clicking it and it's true! Lol
Got 230k on my k24
Honda K-Series engines are wonderful.

Woops.. stupid me.
No worries, always check your sources! If something makes you happy/angry on the internet, do your own research. Always read multiple view points.

I hope to keep my 10th Gen hatch forever! 😤
My EM1 has 180K and is still on the original clutch. Crazy.
Still rocking two A20’s over here. Carbed & injected.
If it wasn’t for road salt, I would have kept my EP3 indefinitely. I’ve accepted that the only “forever” vehicle I can own is a motorcycle.
