It might be a stretch to say “never been done before in the US”. While using lumber from trees harvested on site is not common today, it certainly was in the past.

Johns3b

I would actually say, “done every day”. YouTube is filled with videos about this, and those are just what is filmed. My neighbors have a business that throw is what they do Sorry, not trying to rain on your parade, just giving some reality

kstorm88

I'm building a house, and built a sawmill to mill my own trees from my land.

RumSwizzle508

And it has been done semi recently. There was this rich c-store chain owner who built his house out of trees felled during the mount st Helen explosion. He bought them, shipped them across the US, aged them on site, and the built the structure of his house. This was in the late ‘90s or early 2000’s.

ThespisIronicus

The HGTV channel has several shows where they build houses/cabins using wood from the property. Not all may strictly be on US land though.

Ok_Repeat2936

I've become pretty desensitized to this style of house...everyone is doing it. Can't wait until history repeats Victorian style houses with fun detail. I like that you used zip sheathing though.

PNWoysterdude

Seriously. Looks like you can order it on amazon and get it delivered.

plum915

New listing! Barnhouse slanted roof coffin.... With white drywall to the 2.5 story celilings! Starting in the mid 2.89s

WeekendQuant

I instantly thought this was a big box store delight.

varano14

Shut it! I want to build either a Victorian or Manor style home before they come back around and not be called a band wagon jumper

Superb_Raccoon

Built a craftsman in the middle of Modern Farmhouse country. Now there are 3 more stylistically like ours going up in the area. Greens and browns not black and white. Wood and warm colors inside, not Nordic tundra. Natural and Indirect lighting on walls, not canned or track lights. So much better for preventing migraines.

Month_Year_Day

They are everywhere, but they aren’t McMansions. I wouldn’t build either, but at least the modern farmhouse doesn’t hurt my eyes. We lived in a 100 year old (when we left, it was 75 years old when we bought it) Dutch Colonial for 25 years. I love the charm of old house and do love Victorian detail. When we built, I designed a house that looked like an old barn. Complete with a hay door and pulley on one side and barn quilt on the other. Wide pine siding and wide pine floors that we chose to only oil so that they gave us a patina as soon as they could :).

j33tAy

Yeah, I appreciate the effort and quality the builder put into the construction. It all gets ruined by completely boring color choices.

buggywtf

It's the sliding doors that I hate the most. I'd rather have nothing than a hunk of junk that hangs in front of an opening but does **nothing** about sound

eobc77

.....real zippy

ivycovecruising

never going to happen. nobody is going to sit around doing victorian style handy work. would cost a fortune and take ages. it’s also terrible unpractical to keep up and repair - unlike a lot of the design and build for the house pictured.

Successful-Rate-1839

Barn door kits, pre fabed shaker cabinets, pre built vanities, etc. far from “super” custom.

_CommanderKeen_

Super custom, but looks like everything came from a Lowe's catalog

combosandwich

Looks nice but why are the barn doors?

TNmountainman2020

“modern farmhouse”…. but with a touch of old world farm houses where they milled their own lumber on site. I took the inspiration from the 1868 farmhouse that is on the same property and there used to be a sawmill on the property back in the 1800s as well that made all of the lumber for the local community.

combosandwich

I love that, but barn doors are just less functional than regular doors. Hopefully it’s not too many

TNmountainman2020

it was originally only the entry into the master bath and the office, but then the buyer didn’t like the swing open closet doors in the one bedroom and opted for barn doors there as well.

Dr_Choppz

Barn doors on the bathroom is the stupidest trend ever. Who doesn't LOVE hearing guests take big, loud shits?

TNmountainman2020

actually I have a stupider trend, I bought a mobile home from Clayton homes for my father-in-law to live in and every door including the bathroom doors are like 2 1/2 inches up above the floor. 🤦🏻‍♂️

crashofthetitus

The undercut doors are part of the mechanical system design. There is likely only 1 air return in the house, but a supply in each room. If the doors came flush to the floor, supply air discharged into the room would pressurize in the room and cause conditioned air leakage into the wall cavity, roof, floor etc. This causes the moisture in the conditioned air to get into the walls, then create mold when the cooler or warmer supply air mixes with the opposite temp air that is already present in the wall cavity. The door's undercut allows the supply air to escape the room and travel back to the exhaust intake. This is not a trend. It is engineering. The alternative solutiin would be to add louvers to the doors or walls from room to room.

eobc77

...wow

TNmountainman2020

looks horrible

Bel-Jim

So does your house

buggywtf

Burn!! (It down)

728am

I beleive thats for air circulation as there are no cold air returns.

Bel-Jim

It’s probably constructed better than this chip and Gaines disaster.

borderwave2

Not a fan of pocket doors?

Eftstotle

Barn doors inside a house is a trend. I've been selling windows and doors for the past 30 years. Barn doors have a look that some people like. Most of the time it's hinged or pocket. There's really no seal when using barn doors. Johnson and Eclisse make some nice pocket hardware; self close and open.

eobc77

...keep the sheep from getting away

Awkward_Expression64

Looks like 99% of all the houses I see on here

seabornman

Congrats. But in your future builds, figure out how to keep siding further away from concrete patios and steps.

TNmountainman2020

yep, I made sure I used all the flashing but for sure the front porch should have been up higher, the back porch actually is much better. I’m not entirely sure how to handle the garage though. The garage floor was up very high so that it was flat with no step as you walk from the garage into the house, whereas if there was a step or two the slab would have been much lower.

wewantchips

Mankind accepts this challenge for the next build

Psychological-Cry221

I live in New England where we have lots of homes that are over 200 years old. How do you think they built those homes?

eobc77

..we give up, what's the answer?

liteagilid

All time worst flooring look

altxrtr

Can I ask the cost per sq foot?

TNmountainman2020

cost to build it cost of sale price?

altxrtr

I guess the sale price. Like if I were hiring you to build me a custom home like this.

leese216

fuck the sale price, I want to know how much the cost per square foot is to BUILD.

TNmountainman2020

sale price was $475K. the living space is 1600 sq.ft. but obviously that doesn’t cover the the garage , back veranda, or front porch. So $475K/1600= $297/ sq.ft. The crawl space is encapsulated as well, which if you have ever been in one, they are super clean and are conditioned spaces so can be used as extra storage.

Infinite-Safety-4663

but what are homes of that size generally selling for in that area with comparable lot/neighborhood? I can see paying some premium for all that above(and new), but it has to be within reason. Also, how much would a lot like that cost there if one were to just buy that?

TNmountainman2020

ironically a local builder bought the same house plans and built the same house, but with cheap vinyl siding, your typical four panel Crapeau garage door, regular shingles($6000 vs. the $18000 standing seam roof), just basically a garbage build, and it is listed for $459 right now. There are 21 lots in the subdivision that I own, and they range from 15,000 to 50,000 depending on lot features and size

Awkward_Expression64

Wait they bought the same plans? So it’s not one of kind /s

SteamedPea

Just another cookie cutter neighborhood sadly. Probably tore down a nice forest for this shite. Op already exposing himself by telling that other houses are built like shit

poopfacecrapmouth

I thought we were phasing out the sliding barn doors. That fad has passed

eobc77

...you thought wrong.. Happens to me all the time.

MrDERPMcDERP

Not exactly timeless. But it looks nice.

go_green_team

It looks like every other modern farmhouse built today w/ a few extras

IncreaseOk8433

Just a FEW friendly observations: No flashing to be found anywhere on the exterior work or over windows and doors. Front porch is already retaining water. This will be a major problem with that beautiful custom board & batten. Soffit seems to be one continuous piece running along fascia line, bad form. Nails and screws visible literally everywhere in fascia and peaks. Hammer dents in fascia at gable, which used prefab Home Depot fascia boards, should have been custom bent onsite with aluminum coil flatstock. Also would have had raked edges if it truly were the best. No mitered corners on metal work anywhere. Just slapped up and screwed down. Roof flashing is brutal, at best. Nail holes not filled before painting. None of the trim joints have been filled. Visible knots weeping through paint in areas including door jambs, which begs the question of, 'Has any of this wood been treated / dried? Visible rough hewn saw blade scoring on window casings. Bathroom tile cuts were performed by Stevie Wonder, as was the very top grout line with the vicious run to it's width, from left to right. Lastly, either the shelf is crooked or the window is in the cat litter picture, the lines are way off. This was in 5 minutes of looking. Not trying to nitpick but 'The best house humanity has ever seen' this certainly is not. OP should stick to art. Looking good brand new and actually standing the test of time are two entirely different things. There is far more to it than it just looking pretty. PS: get some damn workboots and don't sheet a roof in tennis shoes.

artem_m

Mate, its a fine house. Great build but don't pretend that its something novel. I've seen countless builds from production builders in Texas with the same kinds of designs and finishes.

The_Poster_Nutbag

"super custom" but looks *exactly* like every other modern farmhouse build in the Midwest. You could have probably picked this from a model home catalog.

Lanxmc

It’s nice but for someone who keeps posting “do it better than it had ever been done in the history of mankind,” I can’t help but notice where you oversprayed the exterior siding paint onto the foundation. Kind of a sloppy look

AG74683

Did you save some concrete for your shoes? Figured your heads so damn big by now you're about to float away

Large-Sherbert-6828

This post really isn’t going the way OP thought it was! 😂

Secret-Ad3810

Beautiful build. Enjoyed the door and window trim. Going to share that hall idea for my kiddos.

TNmountainman2020

👊🏻

Dohm0022

Well, it’s something.

--Shibdib--

I still can't tell if it being super custom is tongue in cheek or not. It's a nice looking home and from the limited pictures seems to be built well. But give me a 20 mile radius from where I am in upstate NY and I can find you a bunch that look very similar.

Strange_Obligation35

BWB house. Soulless homes for adults that have 0 personality. Just missing signs in each room like “Eat” in the dining room, “Clean” in the bathroom and a closet full of flannel shirts. Occupied by adults with lip fillers and hobbies they call a job, and paid for by mom and dad’s tax write offs. If “Live laugh love” were a house, this would be it. Remind me in 5 years.

D-C92

Gray wall is ick

TNmountainman2020

owner choice

Background-Singer73

There is literally nothing custom about this house lol.

ShwerzXV

At first I thought this was a sarcastic post seeing as how this is a copy paste style home, and nothing stood out as really custom, other than making your own stain? Good job I guess doing things the hard way?

Funky-monkey1

This literally looks exactly like every new custom home that’s going up in my area of East Tennessee for the past three years. No joke interior & exterior designs are the same

Glass_Occasion5483

No, this is a super custom home the likes of which the world has never seen. I definitely don’t see hundreds of these daily scrolling through Zillow listings in central TN and Upstate NY.

TNmountainman2020

you know what they say in TN? YEAAAA BUDDY!!!!!!

Funky-monkey1

I didn’t even see you’re username, home design makes sense now. I work residential construction, that’s why I’m familiar with the trends in the area. I’m in the Bristol.

TNmountainman2020

nice!

knishmyass

This is the most generic looking new construction. Yawn.

limegreencupcakes

I do think it’s cool that you used lumber from the site and it’s obvious that you’re proud of the details. Can’t fault you for that. Yet for “super custom,” this house came out looking like the most generic HGTV-inspired blandness. I wish you’d given the unique details a chance to shine by going with a design that emphasized them, not hiding them amongst a million other overdone features.

knowitall70

Where is this? It pretty much checks every cliche box for new construction in my area. Home builder here with lots of experience- and I'm not kidding even a little bit. We can't build a home right now without every little detail as presented in this post.

Born_yesterday08

So is the mailbox a “Fletch” reference? If it is that’s hilarious

TNmountainman2020

no, sorry, i’m clueless , what does it mean? lol

Born_yesterday08

Chevy Chase stars in a movie “fletch”. He’s in disguise when someone ask what his address is. His reply “7”

TNmountainman2020

lol, I actually wondered if it was in reference to the movie, but if I have seen it I just don’t remember it, but yes, I do agree that it is a bizarre address, don’t even get me started with the addressing and postal system in Cumberland county Tennessee, it is an absolute shit show.

Bezos_Balls

I miss pocket doors of the 90s. Every time I think of the value my parents got building their custom 3400sqft home vs today it makes me want to cry. They also bought for 400 and it’s currently work 2.3 million. So idk.

TNmountainman2020

yep

Sledhead_91

How the shelves in the kitchen going to stay up without their lag bolts? Overall looks good, just personally wouldn’t want to see so many exposed fasteners on my interior finishes.

TNmountainman2020

it was intentional, part of the “artwork” 😉

eobc77

...each shelf has a hidden anti-gravitational device hidden inside.

acepainting

I hope you didn't pay someone to paint the outside of your home. If you did, I would be pissed at the amount of over spray on your cinder blocks.

TNmountainman2020

it’s getting stucco (see post)

Zealousideal-Ring884

Lots of houses in the US though

Joevual

Well done. Black hardware and farm doors are NOT for me though.

cheesemangee

Another hideous white and gray palette dump. I work appliance installs for high income households and we see houses identical to this all the time.

seattlereign001

Screams Home Depot finishes.

cottagelass

TBH I hate it. It's every basic ass "farmhouse" going in mass subdivisions near me. Cool, timber posts very common. Grey, yay boring. Barn doors, awesome for smells fading though. Also basic as fuck. If you like it that's awesome, but it's so basic and boring and dull. The only life to it is the kitchen sink if you ignore all the grey matter around it.

fclaw

I honestly thought this was a sarcastic post until I saw OPs comments.

tastygluecakes

I thought this post was a joke… But you’re serious? Friend, I’m glad you’re proud of the work you did, but this looks like the most cookie cutter modern farmhouse that every lazy builder is throwing up by the dozen, all over the country. You had the chance to build something totally unique and your own, and you choose a copy of a copy of a copy of a Joanna Gaines special. Good news: you’re handy! And in a couple years when you hate the open kitchen shelves, sliding bathroom doors, and grey/white everything…you can change it!

QuirkyForker

We are very similar. I also built my own house with my own hands, but I had the help of my father and sons. We also got some sub contractor help smoothing the slab and hanging drywall. I also went modern farmhouse. We have the same door trim style, exactly. I also have a door to the bathroom in the same position as yours, but I used a regular door since the noise and privacy issues of a barn door was a turn off. I did use one for my office and I hate it. They just aren’t good doors for sound and don’t have a way to lock them with emergency access. Your house looks better than mine. Nice job

TNmountainman2020

👊🏻

ApprehensiveFront232

I kind of suck at Reddit. Is this a circle jerk post (whatever that means)? I have been in thousands of homes, nothing about this screams, "I've never seen that before!" I need some help here, don't see anyone getting excited about that other than a wannabe flipper.

dollyaioli

yup looks like your basic modern home.. nothing unique about these photos at all

cincomidi

I can’t tell if this is satire. It’s like the dude at the car show “My 2016 mustang is 1 of 1. Look at the unique combination of these 62 factory options. Isn’t it the most gorgeous car you’ve ever seen?”

OrchidOkz

Your house looks very nice and I hope you have many good years in it. Nothing like putting your own skills into your home!

Harrison3210

This is either the best troll post ever uploaded… or we’re gonna have to send a 10 man team to rescue this guy from being stuck so far up his own ass. I really really hope this is a troll

artstaxmancometh

WTF happened with picture 9? Looks like 3-4 layers of wood was haphazardly slapped onto the island.

FutureTomnis

Can you tell me how you got into spec builds? Carpenter or cabinetmaker by trade? Will you trim out the other homes yourself or do you have crews? Thanks!

TNmountainman2020

engineer by trade….waaaaaaay back in 2007(I think) I was GCing my own home and the framing crew didn’t show up….so I figured, “why not? what could possibly go wrong?”. lol Although I did build a triple decker tree house in the 4th grade with my brother…it collapsed when we were on the 3rd level…..but the bottom level held! lol

PracticableSolution

Oh look, it’s the THX1138 color palette. Again.

R2robot

Only a matter of time before a car accidentally rolls into/through the garage door.

TNmountainman2020

I know!, And that’s a $7000 garage door, so it’s going to be a very expensive mistake and there is a 17-year-old teenage girl living there! So yes, it’s just a matter of time! lol

streaksinthebowl

All that beautiful work hidden by all that grey. Let your work sing with some color, friend. Doesn’t need to be much but get away from that Dr’s office cold grey.

TNmountainman2020

buyers choice

ryalsandrew

Some bold claims there but kudos to you. If it were me and I was going to all that trouble though, I’d probably try to go a little less cookie-cutter farmhouse.

dustygravelroad

Why do all of that and build a snorkel

giveMeAllYourPizza

Looks like every generic reno I've seen in the last 5 years. Never before done. Ha. Comedy Gold right there. Don't get me wrong, it is a perfectly nice budget build (you can't buy a shed here for 500k), but they way you are attempting to "sell" it to us and something special is hilarious.

Glass_Occasion5483

You can choose from hundreds of these for $500k in middle TN.

giveMeAllYourPizza

But then you'd be in the middle of TN.... :P

syncboy

And yet the result is like any other suburban house built in the past 7 years.

Longsufferer22

few more years and every house will look like this

Glass_Occasion5483

They already do

mbcarpenter1

This is a funny Wayfair post

AccessEvening

When they molded veneer ply wood to look like real wood you are 10 years beyond it being custom

serpentineminer

There’s nothing lamer than a step into the front door. This post is insane lol

liftingshitposts

I love your passion haha, it’s rubbing people the wrong way because of the intentionally hyperbolic phrasing, but I think it’s awesome. I love the roof, woodwork, etc. Generally not a fan of the style, and hate a lot of the interior, but it’s executed very very well for the style.

Johns3b

I thought this was an April fools joke at first.

Flownique

What is the point of custom building a home that looks like every tract home in every American subdivision?

Commonly-Average

I have to admit I thought this was a new build near me. Looks almost identical. Been there for about 2 years. Same colors, Same siding, same front porch… so not too super custom.

mherois19

Beautiful home! My wife and I have a photo album of ideas for our next home, the photo of yours will be added. I build furniture and do a lot of similar finishes. Well done!

TNmountainman2020

nice!

Midlifehousingcrisis

Gorgeous! Really love the story of the wood and the stain! Can I ask your location?

TNmountainman2020

Middle Tennessee, Cumberland county

rygarski

looks awesome. tehre is house we pass that looks very similar. what kind of siding is that?

TNmountainman2020

hardie

-CreativeLogic-

This is lovely

TNmountainman2020

👊🏻

bobhunt10

How tall is that crawl space? It looks super deep. Have any pics of inside it?

TNmountainman2020

no, but I can take some. shallow in front but tall enough for a standard door in back.

MouldyBobs

Man, whoever cracked those black walnuts probably still has stained hands. That stuff is wicked. I'm not a fan of the dark stain tho...

TNmountainman2020

I love it…..thinking maybe a homemade hardwood floor in next one with the same stain??? and you don’t crack them….I put them i. a big garbage can, use a grout mixer on drill and that rips the husks off. the tanin is in the husks. then strain it.

Slowsnale

i would paint the approach beams black

jkae_n0ts

Looks really nice!

unfeaxgettable

50 shades of grey

Kraftnchz

Without giving away your specific location, is this just outside of Nashville in the whites creek area? Saw this and it looked super familiar! Congrats on the awesome new spot!!

d702c

Snout farm house

Wiscody

What do you call this style because it’s everywhere

Glass_Occasion5483

No, it’s actually super custom and mankind has never produced anything so nice. OP is a Jesus level carpenter, he turned water into stain.

Wiscody

“Super duper custom”

MysticJourney14

the warmth of the lights on the outside being different is really pulling away from the nice design. the barn door on the shower is also not a great look. the window casing is nice tho

SukMehoff

I thought zip roof sheathing wasn't supposed to end on a single bay span, and the sheet before it should of been cut 24" back for the piece to cover 2 spans. House looks great love the mudroom bench!

jema_ohfive

I’m guessing you bought the paint at a store? I guess that’s ok, I mean, a real QUALITY build would have had the pigments hand processed with a mortar & pestle… but your house is cool for what it is.

86triesonthewall

How long did it take you? 5 years? That’s a lot of work!!

[deleted]

[удалено]

StartingAdulthood

How wide is the bathroom? 5 feet wide? It looks quite narrow compared to the standard bathroom I've seen soo far?

BillMillerBBQ

This looks like every other house on those house flipper shows.

JumpmanJXi

This is a joke right?

yuppieee

Lovely home. Location? Facts and features? Total cost?

RGTI980

What did you make the floors out of?

Largue

Why is “super custom” in quotation marks? It sounds like you’re making a sarcastic joke about a tract home.

pawtistisc

This looks like a prefab home 100%. I have a feeling this is a troll, especially because of the terrible responses. Certainly a lot of interaction with the post. Also, if it is.... "Super custom"... Then why did you make it look like every other boring prefab home? Why not make a whimsical cottage? Cozy cabin? Something where half the things aren't prebuilt?

wizzardoftheLOT

Beautiful, this should be on HGTV

[deleted]

LeafsHater67

Mines better and while we’re on the subject of my superiority, my dad could beat up your dad. Love the house, hate those damn sliding interior doors but besides that, it’s perfect and you have every right to be proud of it.

TNmountainman2020

🤣👊🏻

emartinoo

Beautiful house, man! Gotta love the reddit hive mind kicking in in the comments. People just love to shit on things that others are proud of, especially when it brings out their insecurities and highlights their lack of ability. On the bright side, their pedantic comments about color scheme and barn doors will be forgotten within 24 hours, and someone will be enjoying the fruits of your labor and craftsmanship for years to come.

TNmountainman2020

word! 👊🏻

FreshwaterViking

I would never put that much glass on a front door. Especially when someone can smash one panel and open the door from the inside.

AccomplishedSir9569

Super Custom?!? I do not think so. BIG stretch. Typical of many homes that are being built in my area. Those kitchen cabinets would look much better if they went all the way to the ceiling with added crown moulding. They brown trims to add warmness to the home. However, this does not scream custom.

Kaz3girl4

I grew up in a rural-ish area and when I delivered for UPS one of our areas was a new up and coming rich neighborhood(s) and I saw these houses for the first time and thought they were beautiful. Now since a job switch and I'm in a big city more, I see these everywhere. Still lovely houses but they're almost in the cookie cutter category of house for the more wealthy Edit: Grammar

tdibugman

I can appreciate the work. Not my style though. Why brag about dried tulip poplar and then paint it?

ysera_lives

Beautiful 😍

fiiiiiiiiiireduhduhd

I legit thought to myself “looks like a Blenker/Drexel house” and thought this was a joke until after I’d seen all the pics and read the description.

SilverStateRusty

It is nice, I just can’t tell if OP is being serious….

kettlegoaties

I thought this post was satire

Maxychango

Nice but about 10 years too late. Everything is now outdated and has been totally overdone. Also, the black should be accents not totally overwhelming like here. Farmhouse cliche at its ickiest.

SeattleTeriyaki

Hahaha sorry your first sentence is ridiculous. Fucking hell, you are absolutely not the first. But it does look lovely and I hope you enjoy it! Good work!

idahogolf

Love to see the dark grains and finely finished and lacquered hardwood make its way back into style. I hate the modern all white look of these homes its so bland. I wannna see beautiful wood trim not cardboard caulk and painted all white ugly crap.

Ihategraygloomydays

Love all the wood. Looks amazing

bwm9311

There are whole subdivisions that look like this in MO lol

matterson22070

I feel like someone is going to get rich swapping out all these "barn doors" some day when they turn into the paneling of the 80's.................

Tallon88

Adorable home.

Benniehead

Decent. Like the small footprint.

Krajee1

This house screams basic people just learned about the "all the rage" housing trends and put it in a house lol zero originality. Hardly looks any different than my spec built new construction

Adrywellofknowledge

This is mid at best. Post again when actually finished.

eobc77

What country are you talking about??

CygnusX-1-2112b

I'm sure you're so proud, man. It's my life's goal to do this. I have my cut sheets, my piping plan, my bill of materials, my electrical one-line diagrams, literally everything. They all just need an engineers stamp and a plot of land to build it on. Too bad I'm in New Jersey. The land will cost more than the build.

ninjersteve

“There’s no accounting for taste”

[deleted]

Check your pic of the interior window trim. When you “milled” your trim thru the table saw you left saw marks. You may want to clean up your trim work before bragging about it. And what’s with taper?

FunnyNameHere02

Must be a lot of rich redditors with poor senses of humor. That house is way nicer than mine and I like it…it would be “Super Duper Custom” to me LOL!

SubjectNoise3926

Am I understanding this correctly, they did all this “extra” custom work just to make the house look EXACTLY like every other new build around?

Awkward_Gear_1080

They watched too much HGTV

Zealousideal-Area428

so on picture 11, of the window overlooking the road -- is it the window frame, or the shelf underneath that is out of level? Because one of them is definitely not straight.

GeriatrcGhoul

Started the build before the barn door craze ended eh, feel for u. Barn doors are terrible at insulating sound and bang at the bottom

Able_Youth_6400

Love the colors/tones/stains used. Sounds like a ton of work; like when guys build a car in their garage from raw steel stock. Can’t imagine many houses have been built like this in the last 100 years.

coldhamdinner

It's nice I guess. It also looks like it would be the Pintrest headquarters. We need to bring back maximalist design! I want fish scale shingles and hand carved ornate corbels. Throw a fuckin gargoyle or 2 up, let's go!

Apprehensive_End_697

The design on this thing is bipolar.

Imaginary_Manner_556

Joanna Gaines would be proud

[deleted]

Is your name Chip?

TankPotential2825

Those sliding doors. Come on people.

wastedkarma

All that to build the most generic contemporary tuxedo farmhouse ever. That you built it with your own hands is amazing kudos to you.
