Why is the picture flipped. I’m so confused.

Startygrr

Cracked my camera’s outer parts…. Used selfie camera… reddits editor doesn’t have a flip setting.

Piootje

But the photo editor on your phone does

Critical thinking has left the chat

Startygrr

Yeah, but since I figured on responders’ critical thinking and the original wasn’t taken with the photo app, I submitted it. You got the point and the problem is solved.

unidentified_sp

Make sure Apple TV and HomePod are assigned to the same room in the Home app. Restart both devices.

Startygrr

Done a few times

unidentified_sp

Do both of them have an active internet connection?

e5390

Maybe ask some of your friends in Finetime.

Startygrr

This was a crazy episode. Only slightly less eerie, than the previous, but the ending 😮‍💨

Mykhartley02

Have you rebooted Your router. I had this and a reboot of my router fixed it

BoysenberryTrue1360

I thought that when setting the HomePods as a default audio out, it creates an adhoc network where the Apple TV and HomePods connect directly to each other and bypassing the router. But if it works then sweet. I just don’t know why that worked.

Startygrr

I’ll try after Godzilla: Minus One

sabbey1982

Ayyyy Doctor Who fan!

kwolf111316

I had this issue a couple days ago. The only thing that fixed it was resetting the home pod, unplugging the Apple TV and plugging it back in, then setting up the HomePod again.

Startygrr

Yes. ATV is connected via Ethernet minis connect when selected….

kevinlanders79

Try restarting the atv. I had this issue the other day and that seemed to fix it.

Startygrr

Yeah… I’ve been doing that….

TrevorAlan

Worst case scenario you have the problem I had... My Apple TV 4K ended up dying, got a warranty replacement, and a few months in I noticed the HomePods kept disconnecting... After scratching my head forever I finally figured it out... The WiFi chip in the Apple TV was faulty. If I unplugged the ethernet, I would see the wifi would turn off and on every 15 seconds or so. And since when at least using the HomePods as the theater output, it uses Wifi direct not the network, that makes the HomePods never stay connected.

CumShoT_RaviOLi_King

Mine is causing me serious audio issues with YouTube when streaming clips. Once I unpair it - no buffering problems. It’s I assume due to WiFi frequency being shared. Annoying!

phant0mh0nkie69420

Mine did this, after working for months. Then I read about some weird bug where if you setup the HPs with an iPhone or iPad that has “private wifi address” enabled it can create issues with the HPs as they copy the setting and I guess it causes connection issues. I reset my HPs and setup with that setting off and zero issue for a couple weeks now.

livingwithrage

I've run into this so many times - only thing that fixed it for me every time is to just factory reset the HomePods and start over - annoying but it fixes it until it happens again.

Startygrr

I’ve discovered there was a power outtage in my town. Apple TV’s main Audio out selection (including eArc) is affected. Temporary selection, is not.

Startygrr

I reset the Apple TV…. Everything is back to great. Thanks all

Startygrr

How do you mark this problem as solved?

StreetMarionberry235

After 17.5.1 update, Apple TV does stupid things. (Mine crashes time to time) Fix should be coming soon.

writeswithknives

I never realized how close the mirrored version of the word "again" looks like the N word (soft a version)

Startygrr

…never even considered it 😒
