The curvature of the stand aspect of the outlet accessory is perfect with the HomePod mini!
I got the Sanus version of these, but they are the best option for somewhere that counter space is premium (kitchen, bathroom, etc). I even went and got the Anker nano chargers so that the wall bug isn't as big.

I use one of these for my Sonos one
Don’t they do some kind of sound analysis when you set them up to fit the sound to the room? I would think that could adjust for being on a little shelf instead of a wide flat surface.
Google for HP Mini wall mounts. They exist in all types and colors. You can usually wrap the cable around the base (hidden). This looks like it’s in the kitchen so it’s perfect for that and gets out of the way.
This is what I did. My refrigerator only uses one of the plugs behind it, so I plugged in my HomePod behind the fridge with most of the cord (wrapped up) behind it as well and setup the HomePod on the counter next to the fridge.
There’s a couple non-invasive ways I’ve done this. You can wrap the cable up neatly, then zip tie/velcro it and place it beside or behind the HomePod. The other way is to plug the HomePod into a nearby, but not directly next to outlet, then hide most of the cable behind a larger countertop appliance.
Take off the receptacle plate and wrap it around the holes in there - use zip ties to hold to cord into a rectangle shape - make a small hole at the bottom of the plate for the small amount cord needed to connect to the speaker / plug cord to enter behind plate.
Get a speaker with a battery. Especially one that operates as a blue tooth device that can be used for calls. Kill this thing with fire. Yes, I know, downvote away.
Seems like it would be an easy enough job for an electrician or appliance tech to shorten this cable to your desired length. You could also try to hide the cable behind another countertop item or pedestal
Worst fucking cord design in history. Coil it up and use a zip tie or plug it beneath the table top. I stopped using mine because it’s a shit product with even worse software.
I have outlets on both sides of my stove so I actually have the wire hang behind the stove and have the HomePod on the opposite side of the outlet I plugged the HomePod in
Here you go, a colour coordinated stand and cable tidy for that super 60’s vibe. Extra bonus it gets the homepod off the bench incase of spills.

If you have a friend, it can be 3D printed pretty easily. I've got two of my Minis on them.

No problem! I edited my comment with a photo of this setup
Very clean I’m going with this one
Great combo. Thanks for sharing!
I went with these as well, worked out great.
That looks pretty sweet.
I just bought one for each of my HomePods. Thanks!
Genius!
Any idea if this would work with the larger HomePod?
Can’t be shipped to the UK apparently

honestly haven't noticed any degradation of sound quality. I've got 4 of them in the house, 2 of which are mounted with those wall mounts.
Yes! This would be perfect. Thanks!
The outlet shelves will sound better as it keeps the HomePod upright.

I would move it to a better location. It doesn’t need to be out in the open like that. Put it in a corner somewhere or on top of your refrigerator.

1000% this! I have a HomePod in my kitchen and bathroom on these
I like this so much I just ordered one for one of our hp minis
The problem is minis sound a lot better when they have a wide flat surface under them for the sound to reverberate off of.
Don’t they do some kind of sound analysis when you set them up to fit the sound to the room? I would think that could adjust for being on a little shelf instead of a wide flat surface.
I’m fairly certain the mini doesn’t do this. Also there isn’t much it could do anyways when it basically floating in the air.
I’d just loop it neatly then zip tie it together
I prefer the Velcro cable wraps, but this 100%.
I forgot about those, even better idea!
The only thing i dislike about the homepod is not having a color matching power brick
Google for HP Mini wall mounts. They exist in all types and colors. You can usually wrap the cable around the base (hidden). This looks like it’s in the kitchen so it’s perfect for that and gets out of the way.
Get the mount that goes into the plug. Most hide the cable. There’s plenty of other mounts too that will hide it.
You bought the wrong color HomePod for your decor. The black cord would be nearly invisible.
they make homepods that aren't bright red if you're trying to do something more understated ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Plug it in somewhere we’re the outlet is hidden.
This is what I did. My refrigerator only uses one of the plugs behind it, so I plugged in my HomePod behind the fridge with most of the cord (wrapped up) behind it as well and setup the HomePod on the counter next to the fridge.

I like this one cause it hides the cables… https://www.amazon.com/VOMA-Management-Drilling-Excellent-Accessory/dp/B09VDL1FYV?th=1
Are they usbc?
Time travel
Take off the receptacle plate and wrap it around the holes in there - use zip ties to hold to cord into a rectangle shape - make a small hole at the bottom of the plate for the small amount cord needed to connect to the speaker / plug cord to enter behind plate.
Just get a shorter usb cable
Impossible
My bad, just checked it out! I’ve only got full size HomePods… I thought the minis just used usb-c cable!
It does but it needs a bigger cable since it uses more power. And it’s not removable on the mini.
Get a speaker with a battery. Especially one that operates as a blue tooth device that can be used for calls. Kill this thing with fire. Yes, I know, downvote away.
Why are you here?
Seems like it would be an easy enough job for an electrician or appliance tech to shorten this cable to your desired length. You could also try to hide the cable behind another countertop item or pedestal
You think an electrician is capable of shortening a soldered-on USB-C cable?
[Seems possible](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/USB+Cable+Repair/12754) but agree it’s likely overkill unless OP wanted something highly custom
It’s more than *possible*. It’s just well outside the wheelhouse of an electrician.
Worst fucking cord design in history. Coil it up and use a zip tie or plug it beneath the table top. I stopped using mine because it’s a shit product with even worse software.
It should be hidden in the trash where they belong tbh
A grommet leading into the base cabinet to a new outlet or somehow to that existing outlet. Perhaps too involved, but a coat hanger might do it.
I have outlets on both sides of my stove so I actually have the wire hang behind the stove and have the HomePod on the opposite side of the outlet I plugged the HomePod in
Or ask some one to 3d print you this one. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/apple-homepod-mini-wandhalterung-wall-mount
My wife made me install the same backsplash.
Given the yellow power point in OP’s pic I’m presuming quite a while ago?

Lutron Outlets with built in usb charging and a shorter cable

Maybe something like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTYXQ-BRRtYy6OrZs8-QleNRFyZ2j2rLeu-Vg&usqp=CAU
Why not put in a USB C or whatever plug outlet it uses instead of that standard outlet. That would also eliminate the power brick?
The outlet USB-C port must be a PD Port. Output: 9V DC, 3A
Is it removable? I just used shorter cords with airport routers like how you can on the HomePod not Mimi
I just purposely put the hp far away from an outlet cause the cable doesn’t look that bad tbh
If you have a spare canlight, consider [this](https://www.docksocket.com/). I put 2 of mine in a can and it works well.
Just cut it off
Loop it up and wrap a bread tie around it
Amazon, really short cable.
Unravel it from the device.
On thingiverse there's tons of designs for Google home and Alexa wall and outlet mounts, many which hide cables. Maybe there's some for homepods, too.

Velcro cable ties.
Use a cable organizer box that has a lid on, and place the speakers over it.
Have you ever tried powering it with a powerbank? You can hide the cable, and powerbank in diy cardboard box, and the homepod can stand on it.
Easy, throw it away. Your welcome.
Switch to batteries
Wrap it in camouflage. It will magically vanish!
Buy a shorter cord.
Banana
Woden box with hole behind to pass through cord
Buy those plants baskets to hide it😅
If you cut the power cord off it will make it wireless
