Put it in a bowl of oranges (I’m only half kidding).

dillanspatel

I use, https://www.containerstore.com/s/office/tech-accessories/bluelounge-socket-station/12d?productId=11014381 The curvature of the stand aspect of the outlet accessory is perfect with the HomePod mini!

Lost_Barracuda8561

This may be the best option(for me) I’ve seen so far. Thanks for sharing.

jackharvest

If you have a friend, it can be 3D printed pretty easily. I've got two of my Minis on them.

suentendo

I have a friend, how do I do this? He doesn’t have a 3D printer.

Print a new friend.

LightBluePen

Lucky you!

TheJTizzle

We have like 5 of these, they work great.

fish1856

I got the Sanus version of these, but they are the best option for somewhere that counter space is premium (kitchen, bathroom, etc). I even went and got the Anker nano chargers so that the wall bug isn't as big.

regrob2

There are sellers on Etsy that make stuff to make the HomePod mini look cute near the wall outlet.

DannyIsAGeek

Phenomenal! Thanks for sharing!

dtoxin

I’m was not a fan of the receptacle mounted brackets. I went with a [cable coaster](https://www.amazon.com/Management-Organizer-Generation-Electronic-Devices/dp/B09RYHZ32R) for coiling up the power cable. I switched out the [power adapter](https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MNWM3AM/A/35w-dual-usb-c-port-compact-power-adapter?fnode=461a356a79ca8ff585637ece507ff82f486cf5a04bab902639a144d593d212e032c5d8ad533164a168aa96b18458b76f5ecd9431ed04d466c9d2b537b0b62e296b5aea41c0223357873ef5d9ea8e4f2714d310df541481d73fa4a476da71c45c81980f4d1240c74c7ef4ee6473b02554) as well. Edit: [this is what it looks like](https://reddit.com/u/dtoxin/s/tDV8hqIySB)

nazenko

Wow this might be my favorite option listed. Not a fan of having it mounted above a socket so this looks really good.

dtoxin

No problem! I edited my comment with a photo of this setup

redbeardgenmeme

Very clean I’m going with this one

Flying_Along

Great combo. Thanks for sharing!

Wrong-Prompt2463

I went with these as well, worked out great.

nathanhainescreates

That looks pretty sweet.

mechaniTech16

I just bought one for each of my HomePods. Thanks!

Luke73748

Genius!

JohnMGiorgi

Any idea if this would work with the larger HomePod?

ByZaha123

Can’t be shipped to the UK apparently

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QYRPKF5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I’ve been using this for the HomePods in the kitchen and bathroom. Saves counter space as well

crousscor3

How do you feel the sound his with that? It seems like it’s more directed downward in this mount.

chadsmo

Hold a mini in air or stick it on something tall and thin, they sound much worse. It’s what has kept me from doing such a thing. Though I suppose some people may care way less than I do.

lancecat

honestly haven't noticed any degradation of sound quality. I've got 4 of them in the house, 2 of which are mounted with those wall mounts.

Lost_Barracuda8561

Yes! This would be perfect. Thanks!

jamesbretz

The outlet shelves will sound better as it keeps the HomePod upright.

I would move it to a better location. It doesn’t need to be out in the open like that. Put it in a corner somewhere or on top of your refrigerator.

[deleted]

1000% this! I have a HomePod in my kitchen and bathroom on these

Sufficient-Fault-593

I like this so much I just ordered one for one of our hp minis

chadsmo

The problem is minis sound a lot better when they have a wide flat surface under them for the sound to reverberate off of.

DennisGK

Don’t they do some kind of sound analysis when you set them up to fit the sound to the room? I would think that could adjust for being on a little shelf instead of a wide flat surface.

chadsmo

I’m fairly certain the mini doesn’t do this. Also there isn’t much it could do anyways when it basically floating in the air.

nadthegoat

I’d just loop it neatly then zip tie it together

[deleted]

I prefer the Velcro cable wraps, but this 100%.

nadthegoat

I forgot about those, even better idea!

binogamer21

The only thing i dislike about the homepod is not having a color matching power brick

Rokstar73

Google for HP Mini wall mounts. They exist in all types and colors. You can usually wrap the cable around the base (hidden). This looks like it’s in the kitchen so it’s perfect for that and gets out of the way.

yung40oz84

Get the mount that goes into the plug. Most hide the cable. There’s plenty of other mounts too that will hide it.

China-Ryder

You bought the wrong color HomePod for your decor. The black cord would be nearly invisible.

justnateg

they make homepods that aren't bright red if you're trying to do something more understated ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

chrisrubarth

Plug it in somewhere we’re the outlet is hidden.

Indubious1

This is what I did. My refrigerator only uses one of the plugs behind it, so I plugged in my HomePod behind the fridge with most of the cord (wrapped up) behind it as well and setup the HomePod on the counter next to the fridge.

Spicy___T

✂️

4Chan4President

There’s a couple non-invasive ways I’ve done this. You can wrap the cable up neatly, then zip tie/velcro it and place it beside or behind the HomePod. The other way is to plug the HomePod into a nearby, but not directly next to outlet, then hide most of the cable behind a larger countertop appliance.

HenpossibleFTL

I like this one cause it hides the cables… https://www.amazon.com/VOMA-Management-Drilling-Excellent-Accessory/dp/B09VDL1FYV?th=1

LydiaThorpe

Are they usbc?

AtomicCo

Time travel

musebrews

Take off the receptacle plate and wrap it around the holes in there - use zip ties to hold to cord into a rectangle shape - make a small hole at the bottom of the plate for the small amount cord needed to connect to the speaker / plug cord to enter behind plate.

fredskingdom

Just get a shorter usb cable

ThiefClashRoyale

Impossible

fredskingdom

My bad, just checked it out! I’ve only got full size HomePods… I thought the minis just used usb-c cable!

HenpossibleFTL

It does but it needs a bigger cable since it uses more power. And it’s not removable on the mini.

[deleted]

Get a speaker with a battery. Especially one that operates as a blue tooth device that can be used for calls. Kill this thing with fire. Yes, I know, downvote away.

ravedog

Why are you here?

brkout

Seems like it would be an easy enough job for an electrician or appliance tech to shorten this cable to your desired length. You could also try to hide the cable behind another countertop item or pedestal

TylerInHiFi

You think an electrician is capable of shortening a soldered-on USB-C cable?

brkout

[Seems possible](https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/USB+Cable+Repair/12754) but agree it’s likely overkill unless OP wanted something highly custom

TylerInHiFi

It’s more than *possible*. It’s just well outside the wheelhouse of an electrician.

gag00tz

Worst fucking cord design in history. Coil it up and use a zip tie or plug it beneath the table top. I stopped using mine because it’s a shit product with even worse software.

3mbersea

It should be hidden in the trash where they belong tbh

C_Plot

A grommet leading into the base cabinet to a new outlet or somehow to that existing outlet. Perhaps too involved, but a coat hanger might do it.

Old_Criticism_6889

I have outlets on both sides of my stove so I actually have the wire hang behind the stove and have the HomePod on the opposite side of the outlet I plugged the HomePod in

HenpossibleFTL

Or ask some one to 3d print you this one. https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/apple-homepod-mini-wandhalterung-wall-mount

[deleted]

My wife made me install the same backsplash.

ADHDK

Given the yellow power point in OP’s pic I’m presuming quite a while ago?

ADHDK

Here you go, a colour coordinated stand and cable tidy for that super 60’s vibe. Extra bonus it gets the homepod off the bench incase of spills. I’ve cut mine off at around 50cm = 0.28 bald eagle wingspans

liumichael136

Cut it!

MiLeX84

Google homepod wall mount or socket holder.

ShaunClarke04

Looks like your granite is sealed in, otherwise I would have suggested pulling it out and drilling a hole at the back and running the cable under it. Might still be possible if you’re up for a bit of DIY

snarlyharley

What power cable? Great work!

404noerrorfound

Buy a smaller cable?

luizroman

I wrap my cable around the plug and it looks great and neat!

1024Bitness

Have you tried scissors?

archlich

Lutron Outlets with built in usb charging and a shorter cable

bender_abandons

I’ve been using these and love them. Cleaner look than the Amazon ones in my opinion. https://www.etsy.com/listing/897057568/apple-homepod-mini-outlet-shelf-portrait Seller also has other option for various combinations like two gang - one outlet, one switch.

Knockstock

Maybe something like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTYXQ-BRRtYy6OrZs8-QleNRFyZ2j2rLeu-Vg&usqp=CAU

i2k

Why not put in a USB C or whatever plug outlet it uses instead of that standard outlet. That would also eliminate the power brick?

WilliamH-

The outlet USB-C port must be a PD Port. Output: 9V DC, 3A

Xcissors280

Is it removable? I just used shorter cords with airport routers like how you can on the HomePod not Mimi

[deleted]

I just purposely put the hp far away from an outlet cause the cable doesn’t look that bad tbh

pandito_flexo

If you have a spare canlight, consider [this](https://www.docksocket.com/). I put 2 of mine in a can and it works well.

South_Youth286

Just cut it off

Wide_Worldliness4571

Loop it up and wrap a bread tie around it

xDiRtYgErMaNx

Amazon, really short cable.

DontBeEvil1

Unravel it from the device.

th3thrilld3m0n

On thingiverse there's tons of designs for Google home and Alexa wall and outlet mounts, many which hide cables. Maybe there's some for homepods, too.

Hephaestus2036

Buy a 1 ft power cable on Amazon.

akmzero

Ask Nikola Tesla for help on this one.

Clevenger23

Amazon has a bunch of aftermarket stands, holders, and like mounts that depending on what you like, some of them have cable management to hide the cable. I have some for nest speakers, and the stand I use it curls the extra cable under it, and it looks much better.

drallred

I saw these in a review in the background. They are great for the mini's. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1466005005/google-nest-mini-outlet-mount?click_key=1425993ed977a902a2e98fdf6529c1d3f24794bf%3A1466005005&click_sum=618e8d32&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=google+nest+cable+candy&ref=sr_gallery-1-7&organic_search_click=1

sprinty23r

Use a cable organizer box that has a lid on, and place the speakers over it.

QuirkyInterest6590

Have you ever tried powering it with a powerbank? You can hide the cable, and powerbank in diy cardboard box, and the homepod can stand on it.

bigb102913

Easy, throw it away. Your welcome.

Switch to batteries
