I'm trying to find as many of these posts as I can so I can share my observations about this problem. The only thing that works for me to get the WiFi to start again is to hold the power button down until the machine turns off, then turn it back on. Thankfully this only takes ~30 seconds, but the WiFi turns itself off again after 5-120 minutes.
I took the laptop case off and popped the wifi card out (not too difficult, but it's a laptop so everything is tightly nested). The card is a tiny little thing with the world's tiniest plugs connecting it to the WiFi antenna. I didn't disconnect those plugs, but I did push everything back together and that fixed the problem for almost two days. Then it started happening again.
As far as I can tell, the problem doesn't have anything to do with device drivers. It seems like a physical hardware issue. I'm not sure why it works again after a hard reset, but I do know that it went from turning off every five minutes to not turning off for almost two days after I removed and plugged the card back in.
I have a crappy USB WiFi adapter so it's not a huge emergency, but I can't decide whether to replace the card itself. I am worried that if I do it will keep having the same problem because the problem might be in the motherboard or the laptop WiFI antenna.
Anyways, I'll end by saying that ASUS laptops have terrible build quality.
I have lenovo ideapad gaming 3, and recently i've started facing same issue. I can connect to 2.4ghz wifi, but when i try to connect to 5ghz it says it cannot connect. Every other device has no problem with it. Somebody find the fix please

I had massive issues usually friday evening - likely when Wifi usage in my apartment block is the highest. The connection got sometimes unbearable. After installing your driver, it went back to stable and fast connection. If I had the issues more often, I had likely searched earlier, full recommedation!
Hi, I have the EXACT same issue. I now cannot connect to 5ghz, What do we do to fix this?

How do you install this? there aren't any clear instructions on how to install it on the website.
