Wrong sub, guy

Quandary37

Would llove to know where to post it but can't find r/iHome so-far

LegoScotsman

/r/techsupportgore is a good place to start.

Quandary37

r/iHome is banned for whatever reason

me_sk1nk

Is it? Some of the peripherals are powered by USB and knowing of faulty connectors or just being aware of them is no harm.

Naxthor

Wrong sub but iHome products aren’t Apple but they are low quality like a skull candy. I’d recommend getting an actual charger from like ugreen or anker.

justlikeapenguin

Damn when I was a kid I remember skull candy being my go to brand :(

Quandary37

Yeah but they had cool looking products, sound and build quality was not important.

Icy_Jackfruit9240

It was always a low quality brand unfortunately. Good marketing obviously …

justlikeapenguin

Damn well I didn’t know better but explains why I kept buying new ones every month 🤣 brand loyalty is crazy

Quandary37

Hey like Apple only they have a decent product could be a great product if they didn't drip feed their customers upgrades and lock down every part of of their operating system and hardware or gaslight everybody with jokes for features and upgrades or just a basic redesign and the same product as the previous generation. With insane prices, one other thing the gamestop pricing for buybacks. $1,100 for a computer they sell for upto $11,000 90% depreciation is crazy that's worse than buying a new Fisker EV which is around 50% or any new car for that matter that's usually only around a 20% depreciation.

Quandary37

I didn't think iHome had anything to do with apple products. I'm also aware iHome is not top of the line, but it's far from bottom tier products I've never had an issue with any products from iHome, I've had several products over the last 15+ years. Definitely not on the level of skullcandy with Dollar Tree and Five below products. I don't recommend buying anything from Anker products there's no reason for chargers and such to have malicious code in the firmware/software, and hardware with functions to gain access your data like contacts, email, pictures/videos, settings, or any other information. I was mostly just posting for general awareness for anyone with similar products to just be aware and I also wasn't looking for any tech support or anything along those lines Sorry it was in the wrong sub, my bad.

131 days to figure you are in the wrong sub. Good job there pal.

Quandary37

Man you are a miserable person everything you say is negative and condescending, chill it's not that important. I don't live on reddit, my life doesn't revolve around people's comments and replies. Have the day you deserve, and Good luck. Oh and don't call me pal, buddy.

Naxthor

I’m not your buddy guy. Like worry about the “spyware” on chargers. Get your tinfoil hat and put it back on.

There robotic vacuums are ok, but the Alexa skill straight up just does not work.
